Tbh the biggest problem I have with the sims 4 is it’s unplayable by itself, without mods, even after all the updates, patches, and millions of expansions. They release patches constantly that don’t seem to even fix anything, and then my mods break and I have to spend a week fixing them or waiting for modders to scramble to update them. They broke the lore, and the sims are extremely stupid. Lack of wants based gameplay is exhausting and I find myself playing the same storyline over and over again. After playing the sims 4 for like ten years at this point and spending over $1200 on packs, the sims 2 has been a wonderful and refreshing change.
keeping up with updating all my mods after the constant patch updates breaking them all has made me completely stop playing the sims 4 honestly 😭it's so exhausting i couldn't take it anymore
I just start the game offline and don’t update unless there’s an update that has a cool feature I want or that doesn’t allow me to access the gallery. Modded TS4 is better than all the other versions.
Spending an entire week to fix the mods is soo real 😔 updating every mod and pinpointing that one cc item that messes with the game takes soo longg ugh. Biggest disappointment for me is that Sims 4 sims have no personality, I try so hard to make up stories, make sense of their dumb free will choices and shape them into what their "traits" are but they all feel the same. The emotion system is so broken.
It’s almost dystopian when a GAME lacks GAMEPLAY. Sims 2 and 3 are far from perfect, their biggest issue being how dated they are. But the reason why people love them so much is due to the gameplay present in both titles. Sims 4 is more like a dollhouse/decoration game more than anything. You’re more likely to spend more time building and decorating than actually playing unless you give yourself challenges to beat or download mods…
@@francescoalbano27 how many packs and kits do you have? I cannot have fun with this game at all unless I'm using every bit of extra content. I don't use mods but without all of the packs it's just so boring

That’s only half true, if you hit the icon above the other sims heads in your households you can give them some minimal directives. Like you can have a kid “doing homework” at home or skill building while you are out at a community lot with the parent. The Simmers who have stuck with Sims 4 all this time and fought for improvements have made it a better game…but it has also encouraged EA to stick with this limited game instead of making a new title, but what I wouldn’t give for at least open neighborhood where visting the house or bussiness next door didn’t REQUIRE a loading screen. It is so regressive in 2024 where open worlds are just standard for nearly all games and because of the way households and building assignments work in the core game code of Sims 4, I don’t know that they can get around it properly ever. No matter how much explorable space they create outside of owned lots (especially because Sim traffic on these lots are minimal and it tends to feel like open dead space not worth exploring).
I started with Sims 3 and it has a special place in my heart, but I play Sims 4 now because it's friendlier to mod for me and works better on my computer. Also, I can't live without infants lol. Have fun 💙

yay I'm so happy to see you playing! :) sims 2 will always be my fav but I mainly play 4 nowadays because the mods and CC are so good. my favorite part of MCCC is being able to disable random townies from spawning and instead pull them from the gallery. my worlds feel much more lively. also you mentioned carls dine out mod to be paywalled but it's on his patreon for free! I use it all the time and it fixes all of the bugs.
I've been playing a lightly modded lepacy and its actually been pretty fun! There's so many things about the game I havent properly explored because there are so many packs and new ones keep getting released before I can fully explore the last one, so focusing on the content of one pack has have been pretty interesting. Basing each generation off a pack has also helped me create stories, which is pretty important to enjoying the game imo
Its not a bad game, its a mid game with very few better options/alternatives right now. I can play vanilla, I prefer modded. And my main save I won't even open if my mods are updated.
The first sims game ive played was sims 4. It was the only sims game ive played for yearss, until I played sims 2 for the first time last summer thanks to your tutorial. I was so overwhelmed because there was SOO much to do. In fact i ended up being overstimulated 😭😭 there was too much to explore that i didnt know where to start
please try the love letter save file by prince, it’s a save file w/ all the sims 2/sims 3 lore. i think you would absolutely love playing w/ that save file 😁
TS4 is definitely overhated, it has its flaws but most people who make a career talking badly about it hardly know anything about the game. As someone who switches between 2, 3, and 4 and plays them all about the same amount, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
RPO is the best mod ever! I stopped playing TS4 when my computer couldn't handle the game with That mod... Maybe now that I have a better computer, I can give TS4 another try
The UI for Seasons' holidays never used to bother me until they decided to add that stupid plumbob button to close it ABOVE the UI making it take up more space than it did before. I rarely ever play with holidays anymore because it takes up so much of the screen and opens every time I switch the active sim. My UI is also giant because I'm lowkey blind so it takes up so much of the screen 💀
About the pronoun thing: There are no gender-neutral pronouns in the game, but I know that with RCC in the Sims 2 you can switch pronouns and also a bunch of other gender-related and pregnancy stuff, so it essentially allows you to play transsims.
You can have a baby with Dani. There are science babies and also you can change things in CAS so Dani can get others preggers. I think it's in the drop down at beginning of names. You can also decide if you if they like men, women or both.
I've decided any time I start a new game, I'm putting a whole bunch of teens in one household. I leave the game alone and just watch things unfold. I do play heavily modded, so idk if thats why things happen, but relationships start without me, cheating happens without me.....its my favorite soap opera! Lol
Sims 4 needs so many mods to be bearable. I also hate the limitations of the neighborhoods and worlds. Hate that we still can’t make our own. Can’t make our own worlds or play our own stories if they differ from the worlds themes and limitations. With a ton of mods and limiting my imagination sims 4 is fine I guess lol
tbf its fun until a pack releases and you have to update your mods like 5 times in a week. it gets tiring and by that point i start missing the sims 2 because i dont have to update my giant list of mods on top of it just being my favorite lol
Ever since PleasantSims introduced me to rotational gameplay and I finally caved and installed a ton of mods, it has been my number 1 game obsession! xD So I am totally with you! When Lovestruck came out, I even enjoyed playing without any mods for a little bit! But that might have partly the novelty of it and just me really liking open/polyamorous relationships. :'D (Oh and yeah the woohoo partners thing did come with Lovestruck if I am not mistaken!)
I tried the Sims 4 again recently and what annoyed me was a tester family were on a date on their home lot. I got the parents to Woohoo in a bush in the semi open world. Their date failed.... 😅😮 It's coded so badly and lazily that the date can't continue when they walk around the neighbourhood.
U'll get boted trust me even with all the packs and mods and cc the game doesn't have an ideal dynamic i play with ts4 vanila , ts4 modded with cc so if y'all gonna hate on me stop i just said my opinion, and when u said i wish i were beautiful like ur simself u absolutely so so so cute god bless u ❤
My game has people walking around all over the place. Maybe it’s a mod that you have that is preventing that from happening. Also, they did a Dine Out update recently where people can be seated again. Try that again.
more mods, or well creators, you may like are the UI color mods by Vyxated, Lot51 mods, Nickyclem, simrealist, simkatu, ellesimsworld, cooking mods like Littleblowbubs grannies cookbook, S&S RCM, SCCO, Oni, Tianasims. I also seen you didnt have weebersus UI Cheats Extentions or well i didnt see you had it, its a really handy mod to have..Also the amellce steady sit mod will help your sims sit and stay in one place lol...they also have custom foods as well
the world is beautiful no doubt , I think if i recall I use MC command center to have more people in the world, I still play TS2 daily but I do go and play here n there every few months and do have all the packs, I just don't feel the drama and chaos is there but feel like it is getting better with last few packs. I do like the new expansion pack with funerals , graveyards and if your sim dies not don't have to be the end, you can do rebirth, has bucket lists now. I feel it is going the way I want it after 10 bloody years.
I had fun with TS4 for a while with all packs, plus mods. It didn’t last very long. I missed open world, vehicles, placing lots, complete towns, and realistic graphics too much. The only reason I try to move on from TS3 is because I keep running into performance issues. I hate being victim to error code 12 memory leaks and crashing. I wish EA would have just made TS4 an overall upgrade from the past games so it wouldn’t be so hard to move on to the next best thing. I don’t like that not only has graphics regressed but also gameplay. I’m scared TS3 might become like TS2 where we can’t even play it anymore as technology advances. I used to be able to play TS3 without issues when windows 8 was still around. Ever since windows 10 took over TS3 performance issues began for me.
I think the main issue with the sims 4 are: it needs way more cc and mods, mainly due to not having a colour wheel and just lots of annoying things (more than sims 2 and 3) and also that it is overpriced for less content in each pack, and also a lot of mechanics and things are given but in a way that we don't want or isn't intuitive or realistic, sims take way too long to get things done and the queues don't work as they should, lots of action cancelling and bad townie ai, lots of badly generated random townies, half assed animations and less attention to detail, etc, and finally the engine is too old for them to be adding so much new stuff, it's past its expiration date in many ways, and then this is nitpicky but for me it is a huge huge factor, no placeable lots, or create a world tools at all, I despise this with passion. At least give me a blank slate world with no set dressing so i can place my own items... That being said there are also a lot of things i prefer about sims 4, when it comes to building and making sims for me their cas and build tools are pretty good, and more fleshed out, and I can make what i envision way easier with this game than the previous ones. I use sims 2 and 3 way more for just playing the actual game and sims 4 is more like just for making stuff and taking really good pics (with tons of mods and cc of course).
Lets be real, it won’t be over for the sims, there will be competition for the Sims and that is GOOD. But all the people who have invested time and money in Sims 4 aren’t gonna throw it out. Also, as amazing as InZoi is, people are going to go into it wanting it to play ‘like the Sims’ and it just won’t play that way (which is a good thing). But when sims 3 came out, there were people that didn’t like how it played differently from 2 and when Sims 4 came out, there were people that didn’t like how it played differently from 3. The SAME thing will happen with InZoi and some people will fully covert day one, some people will convert later, and some people will never convert. There are still Sims 2 stans that don’t like Sims 3 OR 4 as much as 2.
My biggest issue is I hate the way the sims 4 sims look. I need so much alpha cc in order to not make my eyes bleed while playing the game. They also update the game every 2 weeks and I hate having to update my mods it’s actually such a pain to me.
I actually love Sims 4 Sim, prob my fav next to Sims 2 Sims. I have some CC but it's all Maxis match, so it's additive to the Maxis look. However, I hate the simulation lag. Things will be going great and I'll be having fun then all my Sims are suddenly doing nothing. Just frozen in time.

yay I'm so happy to see you playing!
Me too!!! I’m currently playing in PleasantSims pleasantview save, rotationally.
I love ts4 so it's always nice to see other people appreciating this game
You should try out the career world I’ve been playing the sims 4 since it came out and no worlds compare to how detailed this save is! I love it
please try the love letter save file by prince, it’s a save file w/ all the sims 2/sims 3 lore. i think you would absolutely love playing w/ that save file 😁
Ooh I will check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@acottonsock This one is really perfect for you.
There is an option to have a “science baby” that could combine their DNA in the game.
TS4 is definitely overhated, it has its flaws but most people who make a career talking badly about it hardly know anything about the game. As someone who switches between 2, 3, and 4 and plays them all about the same amount, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
Are you okay?
RPO is the best mod ever! I stopped playing TS4 when my computer couldn't handle the game with That mod... Maybe now that I have a better computer, I can give TS4 another try
All of the comments crying that she's enjoying the sims 4 are so weird to me. Her playing doesn't mean you have to play or like the game.
The simulation lag is what ruins it for me… aside from the fact it’s kinda boring 😂😂
Dine out has actually improved and it doesn’t take as long for your sims to get meals now.
If you have Life and Death there’s a new grief system where sims can go through various stages of grief and even get therapy for it
would love to see a video about the mods you're really enjoying but if not no worries!!!
What are all the mods that you're playing with?
Ugh, we lost another one. Rip 🪦
im still anti sims 4 :( if its not heavily modded then its just impossible to play, its so plain and boring!
I try to play the game but my mods folder is all over the place so I lose patience but sometimes I enjoy it now and then
can u pleas list the modes u use
i am in LOVE with dani's hair! do you know what hair you're using for them?
It’s called ‘Maggie’ by the CloverCollector!
@ thank you so much!!! 🥰
Wooohooo partner is vanilla. Her reacting to the pregnancy is RPO.
This was the most shocking notification but im here for exploring ts4 (for free) 😂
2:12 what a nice green wall...
16:00 - Dani lowkey looks like Peter Griffin in the preview lmao
I can’t do it the graphics are too bad
Carl’s dine out mod is free
*WHAT*
i never thought id see the day
So surprising to see you appreciating the Sims 4. I get where you're coming from tho although I was hooked by Seasons.
Pls don’t become a sims 4 TH-camr there’s too many 😭😭 ts3 needs a community still 💔
more mods, or well creators, you may like are the UI color mods by Vyxated, Lot51 mods, Nickyclem, simrealist, simkatu, ellesimsworld, cooking mods like Littleblowbubs grannies cookbook, S&S RCM, SCCO, Oni, Tianasims. I also seen you didnt have weebersus UI Cheats Extentions or well i didnt see you had it, its a really handy mod to have..Also the amellce steady sit mod will help your sims sit and stay in one place lol...they also have custom foods as well
I will check all of those out! Thank you for the recommendations!
the world is beautiful no doubt , I think if i recall I use MC command center to have more people in the world, I still play TS2 daily but I do go and play here n there every few months and do have all the packs, I just don't feel the drama and chaos is there but feel like it is getting better with last few packs. I do like the new expansion pack with funerals , graveyards and if your sim dies not don't have to be the end, you can do rebirth, has bucket lists now. I feel it is going the way I want it after 10 bloody years.
STOP THE PRESSES! MADI’S PLAYING TS4?! 😮😂
So weird to see you play sims 4😂❤but I’m glad you enjoying it! I hope to see a lp soon😏I’m enjoying sims 4 more than sims 3 atm, idk why tbh
there is a real estate mod that lets you make offers on homes!
drop the mods list!!
It happens to the best of us.. I was the same way and now I have every ep and gp except for a handful. 😭 But it truly does not hit like s3 and s2.
girl what
Don’t get me back into ts4😭
if you ever did want to record sims 4 theres a censoring addon for wicked whims that allows you to record with wicked whims installed!
Ts4 without mods really lacks. But once you find the mods that work with your gameplay style is really funny... Maddie really shocking us wow
shock! 😮😮😮
The world is healing
LYLE LYRE TURN ON THE TV THEY HIT THE PENTAGON THEY HIT THE PENTAGON 😭
I've tried to play it many times and with over 800 mods and all the DLC it still sucked a big one
Inzoi is coming out in March it's over for the Sims.
There are still Sims 2 stans that don’t like Sims 3 OR 4 as much as 2.
the thing about TS4 is that cannot play without a heavy mods folder and then its annoying when it updates and everything breaks
i feel bad for Madi as she didn't want to have the baby :c
Sims four is the first week you play very fun but the more you play the more boring, it ends I think there’s just not really that deep gameplay
exactly what I meant on twitter like what? Madi and sims 4 😮 okay okay
okay purrrrr
Am I tripping? 😮💨
Honestly sometimes all you need is to play ts4 and i get it
Pls Maddie not another sims 4 shill 😭
i would not spend a dime of my actual money on this game, do not worry
i play sims 4 for the cc
guys we have lost her
I only like playing it as historic. Modern is still boring to me lol.
watching for the second time (: if you did sims 4 current household updates, ı would be ā huge fan!! (as ā sims 2 & 3 vet)
hello i just wanted to say in my TH-cam gaming wrapped you was my watched ❤❤
My biggest issue is I hate the way the sims 4 sims look. I need so much alpha cc in order to not make my eyes bleed while playing the game. They also update the game every 2 weeks and I hate having to update my mods it’s actually such a pain to me.
i actually prefer the way sims 4 sims look lol. its a lot softer than the sims 3 and is a good blend between realistic and cartoon.
Meanwhile alpha CC makes my eyes bleed
I actually love Sims 4 Sim, prob my fav next to Sims 2 Sims. I have some CC but it's all Maxis match, so it's additive to the Maxis look. However, I hate the simulation lag. Things will be going great and I'll be having fun then all my Sims are suddenly doing nothing. Just frozen in time.
