Why is energyzed using 8 voices on most instances of sylenth (without detuing) someone please correct me if im wrong, but isn't it just increasing volume...
When I am making my chords and I add any drive at all I am getting a really bad cracking/crunch sound that you don't seem to be getting. Any idea what could be causing that?
pitero69 pitching your kick really isn't that hard. you just select everything after the tail and pitch that. Search for neilios tutorial. it's quite good
Pitching a kick in FL Studio is really simple. 1. Load the kick into the channel rack/step sequencer, right click and press "cut itself" (on older versions of FL Studio you do this in the INS and then go to Misc and you will find a button saying cut itself) . Then go to Envelope / instrument settings and pull down all knobs except hold. 2. Clone the kick so you have two instances of the kick. Name instance 1 Punch and the second instance Tail. 3. On the punch instance, go back to Envelope / instrument settings, right click on hold, go to set and press 1 step. Now you have your punch separated from the tail. 4. Do the same thing on the tail, but this time you right click on delay, go to set and press 1 step. Now you have the tail separated from the punch. Now you can pitch the tail. The lazy mans way: just go to time stretching, choose e2 generic and then drag the pitch knob as many cents you want to pitch your kick. The more good sounding way: Use the pitch knob (located next to the mixer track output for your sample, to the left) and turn it up as many cents you want to pitch your kick. If your tail becomes too short, just go back to time stretching, choose e2mono and then drag the MUL knob to the right to make the tail longer. Drag it until the tail is long enough to sound good, but do not make it too long! This method does the job perfectly fine and it is very simple to do. No need for any fx plugins, vsts or external softwares. Just remember to sample your kicks after you have pitched them and then put them in the playlist when you're going to use them. It is better that way. Oh and one thing more, experiment with the "reverse polarity" setting. Sometimes having that enabled can make the kick sound a lot better when pitched (or on it's original note too for that matter) or vice versa. Hope this helped.

Plugins prices are shit, one plugin can cost about 500$. Now let's think you use them 10-20, it sums for a big price, right? Do you think that he can earn this by one gig or track release?
How come the lead doesn't distort the kick and vice versa, without giving the lead a little pass on around 1000 hz ? In my tracks the kick is always fighting with the leads, resulting in both not sounding professional. panning the lead a little bit helps some what. But it doesn't satisfie me in terms of sound
If you cut your lead at 200-300hz, you shouldn't have any problems with the kick and lead together. If the kick has a lot of frequencies around 500hz, maybe reduce some lead frequencies at 500hz also so that they fit together.
Noob Projects, if you follow it step by step you will learn quicker. you realise what the stuff does and you can use it in your own style of lead. by using a preset, you have guaranteed succes, but the chance of learning something from it, is quite small.

Try to sidechain a 3xosc, with the same length as your tok. Don't need much, but enough for it to cut through :)

The program is FL Studio and he uses Sylenth 1(Lead, chord, bass) , Virus TI (Also leads), FabFilter Pro Q (EQ-ing), Valhalla Room (Reverb)

When I open up sylenth the settings are not the same as yours at default, this meant to be the case?
just click on menu -> insert preset, that way you'll reset Sylenth1 to the default sound.
