“And as a consequence we let you take what you please? Kill whom you please and hang the rest of us? Who made you the messiah to these lost souls you’ve led so poorly astray?”
The irony is that this is what Dutch would eventually degrade into. A savage, hunting down the next score, having completely forgotten his original ideals. (Or perhaps he never truly cared either way.) A lot of stuff in the RDR universe is all about how people, after years or decades of doing the same thing, get set in their ways. And when all you do is rob, kill and preach lofty unattainable ideals, that's all you'll be doing in the end. John couldn't stop being a gunslinger (though he did try) Arthur couldn't stop being loyal to the gang, and dutch couldn't stop being a gang leader. It was not in their nature, but it was nurtured. In the end, nobody won, not even poor Jack, stuck in his ways of revenge.
He got the lines *almost* exactly right. "What part of your philosophy books cover feedin' a feller to a goddamn alligator, Dutch?!" "The part that covers weakness... That part." "I don't know..." "Well, I DO! It ain't nice, I know it... but it us, or him!... I figured it might as well be him."
my favorite Dutch line is always gonna be his final line at RDR 1 where he explains about how government just always going to find another reason to hunt them down
My favourite Dutch line is either “get down here now, you inbread trash!” Or “we can’t always fight nature, John. We can’t fight change, can’t fight gravity. We cant fight nothin. My whole life, all I ever did was fight
My favorite part of that speech was simply the line "You... Are so... Right!" Because it proves my long standing position that it's the best thing to say just before killing someone
"It was us or him and the way I see it, might as well be him" dutch rdr2 "It's you or me and the way I see it, might as well be you" john marston" RDR1
Savage. I would love to play this game. RDR was one of my favorites from the 360 days. 😅 growing up and responsibilities can really put a damper on my fun 😂😂
bro
where is Gavin?
He was inside us all along.
In his head
"where are you?"
Has anybody seen Gavin?
I think I saw him in Detroit
Nice John impression
Fr
True
John impressions are pretty easy. You just gotta sound like your shouting whilst talking at a normal level.
@@TheMinipily nah you gotta go back in time and smoke 10 packs a day everyday
I know Dutch was going dark by this time, but lets not forget Bronte bought a child.
He was nice to jack though
@WilliamDavies-n8poh okay that makes it fine then 😂
@WilliamDavies-n8poh okay that makes it fine then 😂
@@jphill11111 yeah
@@jphill11111 I mean it's not like anyone gave a shit about him up to that point especially john
Didn’t know Dutch doing a John impression was something I needed.
there needs to be a mod that takes that impression and replaces dutch's "weakness" line with it.
“You kill. I kill.
You rob. I rob.
Only difference I can see is I *choose* whom I kill and rob, while you destroy everything in your path.”
Every line dutch says is so iconic.
My Arthur was definitely destroying everything in his path on the third playthrough tho 😂, woke up to bounty hunters everytime I loaded in the game 🤣.

I just played this last night
“It is man so in love with greed that he has forgotten himself, and found only appetites”
That is just so peak
this shit goes hard, man. gl 2025
“And as a consequence we let you take what you please? Kill whom you please and hang the rest of us? Who made you the messiah to these lost souls you’ve led so poorly astray?”
Thank you for reminding me of this. Loved this line everytime I replayed

Unironically a pretty good John impression
he's an actor alright.
The actor for dutch enjoying Bronte's death nearly as much as Dutch did lol
He got the lines *almost* exactly right.
"What part of your philosophy books cover feedin' a feller to a goddamn alligator, Dutch?!"
"The part that covers weakness... That part."
"I don't know..."
"Well, I DO! It ain't nice, I know it... but it us, or him!... I figured it might as well be him."
John says the same to Javier in Mexico before taking him down
When Dutch said this in rdr2....I had a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood moment
Good to see Dutch and Arthur getting along again.
His John impression is pretty decent! He got that raspy rough part of johns voice pretty spot on
Lol he did even Rob's pauses while playing him!
Dutch doing John's voice was so funny yet unexpected
It was us or him, the way I see it, it might as well be him that's the same line John tells Javier in RDR1
When did he say that again?
@@DEMON-bc6vhWhen he finds Javier in the Storage room in Mexico.
NO WAY??! The continuity is SOOO GOOD
Dutch's motion capture actor is an absolute tank.
I know. Imagine if Dutch was the same size as him 😂😂😂.
"The way I see it. It might as well be you."
John said the exact same thing to Javier in the first one 😮
I love his chuckle
I’ve always wondered why every character at least somewhat resembles their voice actor except for Dutch
Aren’t they motion capturing everything? I think he looks more like Dutch than Roger does Arthur imo
He looks like Dutch just way fatter and older
@@smirnov8579Dutch of he learned how to fight nature and gravity
Ever seen the film Tombstone? His character looks and sounds a hell of a lot like the gang leader in that movie.
Cause in rdr1 they didnt care much about that
my favorite Dutch line is always gonna be his final line at RDR 1 where he explains about how government just always going to find another reason to hunt them down
This is one of the best games of all time for many reasons. The razor sharp, well written script is just one of them.
You could tell Bronte really got to Dutch. He was everything Dutch wanted to be
My favourite Dutch line is either “get down here now, you inbread trash!” Or “we can’t always fight nature, John. We can’t fight change, can’t fight gravity. We cant fight nothin. My whole life, all I ever did was fight
John says something like that to javier
Yea but thats after the events of rdr2, so technically john stole that line from dutch
Dutch was wrong about a lot of shit but them “having” to kill Brontë was something he was right about
“He *insists* upon it.”
And
“What you saw is was people who lost everything to savagery.”
Those are my favorite Dutch lines
My favorite part of that speech was simply the line "You... Are so... Right!" Because it proves my long standing position that it's the best thing to say just before killing someone
And then John says the same thing to Javier in RDR1; "It's you, or me... The way I see it, it might as well be you."
I love callbacks like that.
my favorite line was also "It was us, or HIM!" it goes against everything he stood for
Dutch Van Der Linde is basically Shane Walsh’s ancestor
John says to javier in rdr1 "the way i see it its me or you i figure it might as well be you"
"It was us or him and the way I see it, might as well be him" dutch rdr2
"It's you or me and the way I see it, might as well be you" john marston" RDR1
I am happy at least how Dutch and Arthur became friends in the afterlife again
The bronte sruff made me realize how full of it Dutch is
Dutch marston before gta6 😭
I was thinking he was gonna say "I HAD A GOD DAMN PLAN" lol
My favourite Dutch line is “I don’t even wanna know what just touched my leg”
Dutch was right in this part ain't no two ways about it
That moment is when Arthur finally realised Dutch is going crazy
Every clip I see Arthur’s actor never lets them answer the question themselves always has to add his 2 scene
Dutch’s actor is the biggest nerd of them all. That really makes him a good actor because he gets into his roles.
Damn, you can see the "damn they didnt get that?" On his face lol gold
The standoff in the barn late in the game. Those lines were funny by Dutch. I can't remember them but I know they were funny
U should see Roger crafts answer to this question. It’ll send shivers down your spine
John- what part of your philosophy covers feeding the goddamn man to an alligator Dutch?
Dutch- All of My philosophy John all of it. 😂
It was either him or us..the way I see it might well be him..
Blue vest Dutch is not real, he can't hurt you.
Blue vest Dutch:
I think Roger has played the game more than other actors
Man, the Far Cry 5 theme in the background is so calming.
Dutch is so c h o n k y
Dutch doing an almost perfect John impression
Bronte got what was coming to him
That was an impressive impression
I wish instead of showing the alligator death roll, they just showed arthur doing, "and then the alligator death roll arrrgewawaee"
No one is talking about Dutch’s blue back vest 👀
He does s great impression of Rob
All you had to do was follow tha damn train Arthur!
Still can’t get over how BUFF bro is
If they ever make a tv series of red dead redemption the voice actors are imperative to the role
"Oh he got it good hehehehehehehehe'
That whole mission with Brontea. Dutch was speaking facts about the system. And which we find our selfs stuck in. 😂
Fun fact: Arthur did the mocap for the alligator.
Bro became Dutch for a second😅
he is dutch.
Never knew Benjamin can do a good Johm impression
Greatest legal mind I ever knew.
My favorite line of Dutch is....,,We all bastards my friend"
I kinda wish they made Dutch a bigger guy seeing the voice actor. I think it would’ve given his character more depth.
I am just trying to make sure that some of us survive, arfur
Savage. I would love to play this game. RDR was one of my favorites from the 360 days. 😅 growing up and responsibilities can really put a damper on my fun 😂😂
His impression of Rob sounds pretty good!
The actor who played Bronte also played Kraven in the recent Spider-Man 2 game.
It was either us or him..the stoic philosophy, another teaching done by RDR2..
"Tahiti Arthur, TAHITI"
This is gonna sound dumb but Dutch is just so fittingly Dutch idk . Just how good of an actor he is
Hell of a voice
Love the background music
John actually said the same thing to Javier In RDR1
Have some goddamn faith
That he has a plan
"Money"
Benjamin Sound's Evil..
I wonder if any of these people knew at the time the true piece of art they were a part of?
i thought it would be T A H I T I
Tahiti
I got a plan 😂
Why does he sound more like Marston than he does Dutch?
I honestly was on Dutch’s side with the Bronte stuff
Time to play red dead again😂
I remember when i first got there
Amazing
Dutch in Blue is weird to me😂
I just wanna know when there'll does Dutch ever wear a damn blue vest? Never seen
Does anyone know where this is from?
I dislike Dutch so much I can’t trust his voice actor, dude just has some about him
Dutche's actor sucks compared to Arthur and John's...imo😅😅😅
I despise that character 😂
