I will never take the position that bats are chicken of the cave, but grouse wrapped in bacon is the filet minion of the wild, well done my friend..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm just watching this again and I remembered something that I read about long ago. It concerned the old waterfowl men of early last century and the way they selected the shot size that they used in their fowling pieces. Because there is no choke on these guns, they were able to see what size shot fitted well in the barrel, by putting a shot card a little way into the muzzle and putting in just one layer of shot. There should be no voids and there should be 'no standing on shoulders' meaning every piece of shot should sit on the card and not on the shoulders of it's neighbour. This was the way they got the best patterns, because the more birds they could bring down with one shot of their punt guns, meant more money at the markets. Something you could investigate Josh & co? 😁
Nice to see you 2 shooting Fusils. In my younger years Grouse were it. I'd take them any time over pheasant. I preferred hunting in the woods over fields, but both were fun. I'm in Wi so I can relate to cutovers and thick aspen brush.
I'm from Northern Minnesota, Live in southern Utah now. Hunted those wylie grouse for years. Thanks for the video, brought back some good memories'.
I have been waiting for your next video and it was very good. Thanks,Keep them coming.
That Roughed Grouse is a fine looking bird and I bet it was fine eating as well. 😁😋😋
