It's been mad couple of weeks and I'm very happy to be back! Thank you so much for being here with me! Big hugs!
And now to the latest episode... Even though I haven't managed to knit much, I have 3 finished objects and a worked on a few active WIPs.
Last Saturday I met two special ladies for lunch and knitting and there is a short video bit about it as well. I hope you enjoy!

Jana I hope everyone in feeling better now. The spread of virus this year is unrestrained where I am also this year. Last week I had an earache! And sinus infection I am 69 years and don’t remember ever getting ear infection ! Your yellow bag is perfect! I am going to find myself a bag to “decorate “ as well! The pink Lento is lovely! Pioni here is Peony I think. The name of a 7 year old friend of mine as well. Also my favorite flower in the spring! I am knitting Anker sweater in Holst coast doubled. Corran cardigan in a cotton linen and Skagen has been my favorite pattern from that Laine issue I have purl soho santolina Cotton bamboo hemp yarn that I will make for summer. Good to see you

My grandparents were from Finland, my Mom’s parents. We had a an exchange student from Finland in 1974, one of the best people I know, he lives in Helsinki so it was fun to see some footage on your trip. He called me last week, he lived with my sister when he was here. He has come back to visit 4 times. So I love Finland too😊

Hi Jana. I am so glad that you had a nice meeting with Selma recently. I Subscribed to her Channel and I like watching her but not like I like watching you. I am also upset about Ukraine attacked and being invaded by Russia. It is horrible, and I hope that war ends. So many people dying and hurt. It is senseless. I was told recently not to come into a yarn store by the name of Great Yarns after going there for Social Knitting and buying hundreds of dollars for yarn and other items accusing me of being rude to her employee on the phone, which is not true, and she just didn’t want me around. I forgot to tell you that that yarn store is located in the middle of Raleigh, NC, where I live. I am so hurt about it, and now if I have a question about knitting or make a mistake, I have no one to turn to, as there are no other yarn stores around. The flowers in your video are beautiful. I am almost done with my daughter’s blanket

Just before watching this episode decided would run the vacuum quickly then feel good about sitting. The belt is broken on it. It is very windy with cold rain , not the kind of day I want to go out. Hope the computer gets fixed soon, that sends me over the edge. So glad you had a good trip, great success on the upcoming trips

I attended a Spinners, Weavers and Dyers Open Day recently. The lady sitting opposite me works in construction and she was spinning neon yellow wool to knit her own workwear.
I LOVE all your projects but oh my that coral pink Lento is so beautiful!! You look great in it! So nice to see your visit with the ladies, I watch both of them. I am looking forward to visiting Finland one day!!

So happy you're back! I also watch Selma's podcast and I'm a member of her and your Ravelrygroups. I'm Dutch and I would love to tell you how to pronounce Scheepjes, but to be honest, ch is a hard g, and that is something I believe only our language uses. Ever heard of the city Scheveningen? It has that same start and you pronounce it the same way. So maybe you can look that up on the internet? My daughter and I have had a yarn webshop and we sold Scheepjes, so nice to see it has reached Finland 🌞.

Donna (Roots and Rain ) dyes with natural plants and roots , some of which she collects around her home and uses rain water that she collects. So cool!! I love her yarn. Hope the events go well Jana!

Great episode - you’re so inspiring! Love everything you show us. It’s so impressive that you’re able to get so much knitting done with such a busy schedule! Is the colorful chunky stitches in the Xiao Mao sewn or knitted? So much fun! And by the way, you said IKEA the right way! It’s not pronounced “aijkeija”, since the brand name is an abbreviation in Swedish - it comes from the name Ingvar Kamprad (the founder) and his birth village in Småland: Elmtaryd Agunnaryd, thus IKEA. (And it’d be wonderful if you spread that around the world 💖 as you do with the Lento😊.) I hope things calm down so that you can enjoy this time of the year, when the midnight sun (hardly) never sets in northern Scandinavia and not in Finland either. Take care❤️🌷🌞

Make sure to visit Taito shop! Beautiful Finnish makes and they usually carry some yarn as well
