- This is something I made in four hours with FL Studio using only four instruments: piano, strings, piccolo, and a harp.
Just a quickie, nothing spectacular here. I felt it needed to be posted, though.

This is the greatest game ever made in my opinion. It made Pokemon my favourite franchise singlehandedly, because of the beautiful way it was written and how it got me through some tough times in my life, such as loss, and this was a game I could turn to where the same problems occurred. And it almost told me how to get through them.
And as gushy as it sounds, I don't know what would have happened without it. It came at the right time, And touched me in the right place.
Though the parting hurts, I leave the rest to you. I often wonder if that was a symbol, of things that were to come. Or that still are.

It would have been my personal best if it weren't targeted for kids. If Chunsoft decided to remove the "kid friendly" vibe of the game, it might hit me with a tsunami of feels.
I'll never forget how this moment had me weeping onto my DS screen back in the day.

Sarah, truly a spectacular moment, i never cried over anything but this game made me cry several times, im a adult now and i re-played it even knowing what will happen i still cried As a adult.
What makes this my favorite game series, is that you embark on an adventure, with someone that accepts you and is willing to be your friend, and everything the two of you go through lets the both of you bond, and realize that friendship is something we all take for granted, and that it doesnt last forever, but it can if you're willing to let it, and you and your best friend in the game's bond gets SO strong, not even space and time can keep the two of you apart. And THAT is what makes pmd the GREATEST game franchise ever invented. nintendo, if you're reading this, keep going with pmd. its a BEAUTIFUL franchise...
Agreed. People can make fun of Pokemon all they want, but to me this game was just pure genius.
This is one of the few games that actually CAN make me cry... And it's very hard to do....

Of these things, I actually chose to be ruler of the universe. And upon achieving power over everything, I had gained a lot of free time. And I used that free time to develop the ability to make sad remixes. :DDDD
It's 2018 and the community behind this game is incredible. I'm hoping that if the Switch finally gets virtual console, PMD: EoS can somehow make its way on there. I still have my original copy and play it often but being able to play it on current hardware would be amazing. Favorite game of all time! :)

Pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team DX was announced and coming for Nintendo Switch on 6 March 2020!
rescue team DX is a remake of red rescue team/ blue rescue team, and there have been hints EoD/T/S will be remastered soon!

I like the little bit where you can hear part of Primal Dialga's battle theme.
It's actually an leitmotif present in all musics that are somehow related to time. "Dialga's Fight to the finish" "Don't ever forget/I don't want to say goodbye" "Farther away" "Memories of you" and others have this leitmotif, and it's called "The Time Leitmotif"

Honestly, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky was the first real game that I played as I kid that I really really wanted to beat. My sister got a copy of Sky, and I got Darkness. She played more than me though, even if our brother did play a little bit for her, so of course she got to the end soon. And when we watched as it ended... I'm not going to lie, I cried for hours. And I was upset for many days. I don't think any of the other Mystery Dungeon games will _ever_ live up to the intricate and beautiful storyline that PMD Explorers of Time/Darkness and Sky has set. This game is such a big part of my childhood, and it's what's taught me that even when things are sad, you still need to move on. It's all about acceptance, in the end. Some things, we can't change. But even in the darkness, the light is getting brighter..
When I played the game I didn't let anyone evolve just to show my childhood and I still do that this must be one of my favorite game when I was little :(

This game honestly put a weight on my chest because of knowing that I had to leave my cherished and beloved friend. Yes, I know what happens in the end, but this was before I knew that. Also watching your friend making his/her way out of the crumbling Temporal Tower back to the guild without you makes the weight even heavier on my soul. Seeing a friend alone is something I can't ignore. But you can't be there with them. That's something worth noticing.
This music not only adds to the tear-jerking scene, it brings a sense of something that is feared.
That something is called FEELS.
Damn I'm actually crying I never cry at games or movies (fox and the hound doesn't count it's a Disney movie) but this game...THIS GAME...I kid you not I was crying for 2 hours straight when I played it!
When the piccolo solo started, I got hit with a wall of emotion. This is the first game that made me cry. Thank you

This succeeds in not just being sad, but hopeful. We found out that Grovile never died, but lived on in an alternate timeline thanks to Arceus. We should look to the future, and dream for the best, remembering all that we left behind. But we should never stop ourselves from reaching that better tomorrow.

its songs like this that truly brings out the true emotion that most people try to hide. PMD songs definitely bring out the more emotional side of pokemon games. The storylines are pure examples that teach us about life and that miracles can come true when you wish enough and have the faith and power to strive. both PMD 1 and 2 had amazing storylines with the most epic battles and music and im sure there is a PMD 3 on the way to bring out an even more emotional storyline that is a life changing

This is one of the best remixes I have heard, and before this even got to the half way point, I was already crying my eyes out. Thank you for rekindling my love for the game and I hope you will continue makeing these, and also I hope Nintendo makes more PMD games to make people cry to.
Just the introduction made me want to cry...
I remember the first time I finished this game. Even my older sister sitting next to me cried. And it doesn't help that I'm overly emotional...it's amazing how much this song stirs my feelings. I have cried listening to this before, and I have felt the feeling many times to shed tears... I almost refuse to go into Temporal Tower because I know I'll cry at the "cut-scenes".
I feel this really when you’re about to lose someone you love it truly does feel like time has stopped so suddenly
I would be honored to write a story half as beautiful as PMD.
The slight pauses makes it even more atmospheric, as if our character really doesn't want to leave the partner

I always, ALWAYS get all choked up whenever I hear this theme, or any from the scenes following it, really...yet I never cry. It's something I've noticed; the closest I get to crying over emotional things is jus getting choked up...

i once got an art history lesson whilst lookin through my diamond guide. i realized that all the johto ones were watercolor, kanto was very experienced in style, hoenn was just introducing computer-generated art and was very bright, and sinnoh was very detailed and realistic. i love how through the art you can not only see the evolutions of pokemon themselves, but also in the tech used for the art. im a nerd, i like it 2 :D

there is no other way to explain the power of pokemon songs like this song and the song from PMD1. These song will not be forgotten, i hope Nintendo uses these songs in future PKMN games.

You know, I've never played Pokémon, and this video is many, many years old, yet here I am, crying like the rest of you did.. I'm not sure if it's a bad thing or not that it hits me so hard.
If you one day decide to play the game and get the context for this song, it will hit much harder yet. It looks super outdated but if you can give it a chance it still has an amazing story to tell.

Sometimes, I wonder if it was Bidoof's fault the world almost ended in the PMD2 game. In the "Bidoof's Wish" episode it showed him journeying to Jirachi, then wishing for a team for him to look over or whatever. Think about it, if he didn't wish for team Pokepals, or whatever team you were, the whole game would have been different. Would you have been attacked by Darkrai while traveling? Would Darkrai even have even messed up time? It could have been the wish that made everything mess up.

This is amazing
The strings you used at first didn't sound that great, but the rest was fantastic. 0:49 had a really nice touch to it. I felt with all the epicness at 1:17 that the calm part around 1:50 would actually build to something, like maybe repeat the same part at 1:17 except with more instruments and maybe a counter-melody. I always like it when songs end on a high note, but no worries. You did a great job though really, keep up the great work.

If they were different areas, PMD 1's tale would certainly be famous, plus, 4th gen pokémon would be available. Don't forget Lucario is a famous explorer in PMD 1, while he isn't even known in PMD 2.

Actually, Deoxys was in the meteor. In a dungeon in the post-game, it is revealed that he came from space from the falling star. It's hardly a major plot point, but that is what happened.
Wow, whatever your using , it sure does sound Fantastic! I love the Piano the most I have to say but the string Harmonics were always amazing in this piece too which you brought out fairly well in this piece! I love the ambient or quiet feel this has, keep up the great work! ^___^
