Wow a reaction to the most scandalous song of the 80s 😂. It was THE No 1 smash hit im Germany, Austria, Switzerland, sold millions of times and never been played in Radio or MTV 😊. Part two is "Coming Home", a song Falco did to calm down the reactions. I have heard Jenny a thousand times. 🤩. Falco has had the only German singing No 1 hit in the US billboard charts - "Rock me Amadeus" 😂

@@prutteltje1300 you are wrong official only 1 and 2 3 was made after he did die Although the Jeanny theme was planned as a trilogy, only "Jeanny" (Part 1) and "Coming Home" (Part 2) were officially included in the series by Falco. "The Spirit Never Dies (Jeanny Final)" is considered a spurious third installment in the trilogy, which Falco died before completing according to his own plans.

I first arrived in Germany in April, 1986. This song was the most talked about song anyone had ever heard. Every american soldier wanted this song translated by a german friend.
Falco, who became known in the states for 'Rock Me, Amadeus," and "Der Kommisar," had some very nice songs. I actually saw him in concert, Mannheim, Germany, and he put on a great show.
Unfortunately, he is another artist who died much too young.

This song was quite controversial in 1986 and many radio stations in West Germany boycotted the song. On the other side of The Wall, in East Germany, it was even forbidden to play this song. It was on #1 in the Dutch charts for 4 weeks in 1986.

The “F” stands for Falco obviously, but is also a reference to the movie “M” (1931) by Fritz Lang, a renowned German director. It is a movie about a child predator, very controversial at the time, even more so because the director chose to also show the human side of this killer. He is marked with an “M” on his jacket by a vigilante without him knowing, but now everyone knows who he is. In a following kangaroo court he is sentenced, while he begs for mercy and tries to explane the he does not want to kill either, but the voices in his head are too strong. Very haunting, impressive movie.

btw he is talking ab this because it happened very often in the time the song got released and it acted like he was a part of one of these stories but the crazy thing is the story has very different endings if u look at it from different angles but he never had the mindset of this but he wanted to criticize the society cuz this happened so often and most of these people never got caught and even if they did get caught they mostly didnt get any fair punishment (more like a bigger fine and 1-2 yrs in prison sadly)

Falco (real name Johann Holzel) was an Austrian singer songwriter who tried to marry German verses with English choruses.
The English he knew, he learned from watching films, TV programmes and listening to music sung in English.
Obviously being Austrian his first language was German, but he had a love and a fascination with the United States and Britain.
As you can see, he had a very powerful voice but sadly died in a horrific car crash.

Hi, Highly. Falco was for me someone who warned girls about men who could be dangerous. I was a teenagergirl when this song was on the radio. Now 51 years old. He was not a very standard man, but I think he meant well. He died because a car hid him just outside of the place where he had a meeting with the brothers Bolland and Bolland, producers of a lot of good music. Great that Falco was someone who was not afraid to demand attention on a taboo. Died much to early.

The song "Jeanny" by Falco was extremely controversial due to its controversial themes and lyrics. Here are some of the reasons why the song caused a stir:
Sexual violence and criminality: the lyrics of the song deal with topics such as sexual violence and criminality. Falco sings about the kidnapping and imprisonment of a woman named Jeanny. These topics are extremely sensitive and disturbing to many people.
Ambiguity of the lyrics: The lyrics of the song are intentionally vague and leave many questions unanswered, such as whether Jeanny is with the narrator willingly or against her will. This ambiguity led to different interpretations of the song.
Publication controversy: "Jeanny" was indexed in Germany, meaning that it was not made available to young people under 18. This led to further discussions about freedom of expression and censorship.
Public outrage and discussions: The song provoked heated public discussions in several countries, especially in Germany and Austria. Some people felt the song was morally questionable, while others argued that art should have the freedom to address controversial issues.
As a result, "Jeanny" became one of Falco's most controversial and well-known songs, and it polarized the public. Despite the controversies, the song was commercially successful and reached high chart positions.
Falco stylistic device has always been to write more clear lyrics so that people discuss and question some things about themselves and in society. The Commissar, Jeanny, Rock me amdeus or Mama the man with the coke is there. In Germany, coke has several meanings. Once it is coke umd cocaine but also a product of coal which is used for heating. This coke was usually delivered by men and poured into the cellar or carried. Therefore, for example, in the song you can either think of a drug dealer or just a coal supplier.

    Wikipedia excerpt
Ohne Freigabe durch Falco erschienen postum die Versionen Where Are You Now? (Jeanny Part III) (2000) und The Spirit Never Dies (Jeanny Final) (2009)."
One part was also banned at that time and many radio stations boycotted the song and did not play it.

The story is deliberately open to interpretation. One interpretation is that the protagonist is a kidnapper, another interpretation is that Jeanny was his girlfriend who drove him mad. Maybe Jeanny and everything is just the interpretation of a mad man. And there are many more other interpretations between ...

I will never ever get sick of this song😍. Even know all the words to the newsflash part, and German really isn't my best language😁... I love it. Somebody has probably already mentioned it in the comments, but this song is not really about him, but about girls being abducted in general... I mean, I think🙄... slightly creepy nonetheless... but so good! Your reaction is so great🤣... keep 'em coming!

The "F" on Falco's trenchcoat in the video refers to the 1931 German film M by Fritz Lang in which a blind man marks the murderer with a chalk sign in the same way. (Wikipedia)

Child's voice: Bump bump, rider (Can also be translated as "up and down, rider" - in German "hoppe hoppe, reiter").
    Tiel: A melody in wind.
Child: My heart no longer beats.
Tiel: And the child sings from the dirt/earth.
    Child's voice: Bump bump, rider
Tiel: And no angel descends down.
Child: My heart no longer beats.
Tiel: Only the rain cries on the grave.
    Child's voice: Bump bump, rider
    Tiel: A melody in wind.
Child: My heart no longer beats.
Tiel: And the child sings from the dirt/earth.
Rammstein - Spieluhr (Play Hour - Creepiest song ever, prettymuch).
Just one more thing, this is a good thing to keep in mind in general, in life: when you see the colors RED and BLACK and only these 2 colors, RUN tf away. You want nothing to do with those ppl.

This song caused the single biggest scandal in German music history. Some radio stations refused to play it, but it became a huge hit, anyway. The news anchorman you saw was an actual anchorman at the time on the most important news show on German TV and that, I think, made the whole story too real for some people. A lot of Germans weren't ready for it, but I liked it then and it's still something I like to listen to today. Part 2 (Coming home) was a great song as well. There were more parts, some even without Falco, but they are not worth listing to.
By the way, the girl who played Jeanny was just 15 at the time.
