I had the pleasure of spending the day with Joe Thompson at his home playing fiddles and hearing stories. As we talked about fiddle music and African-American history with that music, Joe said it made him sad that there didn't seem to be any young black musicians who cared about this music. The very next year he met THESE two. The rest is Joe Thompson history. Loved spending the day with him!
