It would be nice to see an LG C3 vs C4 comparison, in my country the 42" C3 is on sale for 750 USD while the C4 is around 1350....

Hi. when you were looking in this menu, did you see the option to change the model number? I want to change the model to the same one, but with German numbers to unlock the Google Assistant. These are the same TVs, only the LGC3L34 model is available in Germany and the LGC3L32 model in my region. Can this be changed in the service menu? There is such an option on a Sony TV because my motherboard broke after replacing it with another TV. It was possible to change it to the model I had. I hope it will work here too, because in this way LG blocks the functions of individual regions, such as Google assistant. Sorry for my English :) Regards

I think you are only getting all that messing around because of the first time you went into the service menu, in my years of experience with LG I never went to SM the way you did, it's set something up during that process you did initially. You only need do the Instart and put the code in. Also Instop probably won't do much to your findings. I really hope you get where you need to be with it all, it's sooo frustrating lol. Ty as always for the vid QS.

First off, appreciate you watching and commenting!
So the difference in experience here is new webos vs webos 22. LG locking SM behind factory mode has made going into it less appealing (just as they wanted I'm sure).
On my C2 that has been updated to the new webos, I've went into the hidden SM, instop reset (accident trying to get rid of the factory mode banner), and went back into the hidden SM again. The same multiple steps are still required after doing it once.

@@Quik_Sand_TV FYI on the C2 GSR ABL are both ON if you dont enter factory service menu. So C2 users who use the c2 as a pc monitor have NO CHOICE but to deal with the 30 second lock out. IUIf you go back into user mode yes it resets your settings it also reenables both GSR + ABL

@@CWWJRhey thanks, yes this is me with a C2! Are you saying I need to stay in Factory mode to keep TSR and GSR off?
I am still in Factory mode but the dimming keeps coming back on (TSR/GSR), when I go back in to the menu the settings are back to ON!
I am so frustrated with LG, I bought dual monitors and it's such a waste of money.

Is the LG C3 substantially better than your Sony 77” A80J ?
