The Oakland Raiders were a beast in this game with Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Jerry Porter, etc. I used to get dissected on defense playing them.
This game had a great soundtrack!

@@MilesDawkins247 im updating 04 on gamecube to 2020 stats. I do a qb 1 to 2 rb 3 wr 1 or 2 te and the top two defenders on each team. Ive done all the playoff squads from this year done.

The craziest thing about that Vikings team was Michael Bennett. Dude was faster than Moss on the game and in real life but somehow it was damn near impossible to break off big runs with him. That dude was blazing fast. Olympic fast... But was super ineffective in the game.
Trill104 I remember when I would play online...the guys that would whoop my tail we’re the guys that knew how to utilize Bennett and Moss cause of their blazing speed...Moss at 99 Speed was literally impossible to cover if Culpepper has proper pocket protection
Trill104, did you ever try throwing screen passes to Michael Bennett? I was able to do that and consistently break off big runs/long touchdowns with him. Dude was super fast.

Yes, Joshua Fessenden, I agree wholeheartedly! I still have my PlayStation 2 video game copies of Madden NFL 2004 and Madden NFL 2007. And what I like about those 2 video games is that in Madden NFL 2004, I made up a creative football team called the Orlando Sharks. And in the options of the Create-A-Team, they allow you to customize your own press conference inside the football stadium🏟. And, as in extra added bonus, while creating a football team, we get to sign up football players in the free agents list! It’s just one the best Madden NFL video games in video game history!
They didnt start to shorten the year until 06. It is Madden 2004.

Vikings also had Bennett who was a 95 speed which made him hard to stop if he broke a tackle he was gone. Dunn was good and his catch is also good in this game.

need to go 3 hours to get my GameCube and games... miss this so much even though I have ps4 , Wii u and all the games basically.. but gamecube and this game highlighted a good childhood playing with family and friends.. Need to play NFL street to bad! .. I think it was nba live 2003 with the blue disc, I returned that 3 times not thinking it worked, back when walmart would only exchange for the same game. It never did work, blue disc was like that on ps2. And funcoland was much better than gamestop, remember funcoland having atari games up to Everything new.

IMO best madden game! I haven't played it in like 6-7 years due to my Xbox not wanting to work, I also tried it in the 360 and it didn't work, but now the game us in storage so I'd have to find it and my Xbox, I doubt it will work with my Xbox One though
Agreed madden 04 and 05 were the best maddens imo haven't played madden in years madden on the next gen consoles suck the physics and running animations aren't good madden on next gen feels so slow.

To be honest I preferred this game from NFL2K5 (which is also one of the best football games)
I have this game on the original Xbox. The Xbox version is better than the PS2 version in my honest opinion. Xbox version is in true 16x9 widescreen and in 480p and also used custom soundtracks (but only for the main menu).

Why did they change the game play such as the phyiscs and movement of players after Madden 04? This was actually a decent Madden game and probably the last good one as well. All the Madden games after is crap with terrible players movement and gameplay. Madden only started focusing on My Career Mode or Superstar mode such as story telling instead of the actual gameplay. So damn sad how Madden has ruined football games since 2005!
