Agree that Spain are favorites. England’s big advantage is their squad depth. Southgate has to be brave and go for it in the second half. If he brings on Watkins, Palmer, Toney, Gordon, Eze etc early enough, then they might have a chance.
If England are still in the game by the second half, then substitutions could play a major role. Southgate could literally replace anyone in attack or midfield, and still be as strong - but with fresher legs.

I've also noticed that most English people actually think they will win because it's their fate, they have learned from last Euro, or that Spain only beat Italy by a goal but the Swiss beat Italy and England beat the Swiss. Spain played bigger names but they were all terrible and not even bothered it seemed whilst England played teams that played games like a final and sat back so of course England looked bad the only time a team came to play 1st hf against Dutch we looked good, England had a much harder route

Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal are the biggest threat, not Rodri or Ruiz.
Take either Williams,Yamal or Ruiz out of the team and it doesn't massively make a difference there's replacements take Rodri out then watch that team struggle

Rodri has had many bad games...he was terrible in the FA cup final misplacing a lot of passes..he was very poor in Spain's qualifier defeat to Scotland...he seemed almost non existent as we watched German pour forward with wave after wave of attacks in the 2nd half of the quarter final...give me a break

If anything that midfield usually is a decoy to lore playere with them so that there is space for the wingers

This seems to be a theme every tournament. In the world cup the narrative was: ‘How do England stop Mbappe?’ And in many tournaments prior the focus was on stopping the opposition rather than playing our game well and winning.
