      The ruling autocrat president Erdogan is against Nato. He is Islamo Fascist. He does not respect women's or the minoritie's rights. He put 15 year old youngsters and the opposition journalists in to the prisons. Corruption devastetaed Turkey's economy. He made brothers and sisters to fight each other. So it is really a very critical election for Turkey and the Turkish people. 20 yers of ruling by one man devastated the country. He still does not want to lose the president seat and the power. HE MUST GO and HE WILL LOSE THE ELECTIONS.

      Dont be stupid and naive. That artificial earthquake by Israel using HAARP would also knock at ur door step soon. All that severe earthquake was to shackle the people faith in Erdogan. Ya he rule agressively, like Valdimir Putin, Saddam and Gaddafi. But we all know that history has proved always that these agressive rulers were doing nothing but good/best for their coúntry. And once they gone there no one else to handle the way they had handled everything.
      So O people of Turkey dont fall prey to western idea of secularism and keep all ur faith in Erdogan and allow him to stay in power for few more years. This is not the the time to oust him out of power.

    I am proud of my leader Atatürk, I am proud to be a secular country. A country can't have a religion, you can't judge people by saying that they belong to this religion by reaching a general opinion, everyone has their own personal opinion. I don't want to see anything that belongs to any religion in Turkish society, the part about the headscarf is actually in terms of isolating the society from religion, I support it. Azan may be called in Turkey, but bells are ringing too. There are many things that need to be corrected, such as the recitation of the azan in Turkish. My nation is Turkish, we are not arabs, we do not speak arabic.

    • @TanjirowGhamadow

      You claim that a country can't have a religion, yet the majority of all global powers have a strong religious root. For example, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Italy, UK, USA and Spain have a very strong religious root, although religious influence is declining.

      @@BengisuPazarci Religion is free in Turkey and all of the countries I mentioned in my previous comment. But to understand you better, what is your definition of free? I assume no one is forcing you to believe in islam or any other religion, right? If you think that religion in a country is not normal, you should read history. All global powers are founded by religious influence. Kemalism is also not alive and doesn't have feelings? What do you mean?

    • @BengisuPazarci
      @BengisuPazarci ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TanjirowGhamadow First of all, I don't understand what this has to do with Kemalism. Secondly, individuals are free to believe in any religion they want, but in order to say that a country is religiously free, there should be no compulsory religion classes in that country, and the government in power should not exploit people's religious feelings. Finally, I will touch on the issue of equality and nationalism. In Turkey, the Azan is read, I am not against it, but I support the Turkish reading of the call to prayer, the bells can ring in the same way, or the Jews can be free to celebrate their religious holidays. (I'm talking about 3 divine religions) as a result, I do not support people being forced to learn religious rules in a secular country. I stated that I find it wrong to call everyone Muslim with a general idea in secular countries such as.

    • @BengisuPazarci
      @BengisuPazarci ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TanjirowGhamadow 1-Compulsory to take religious classes, 2-Religion cant rule a country but Nationalism or Kemalism can, We are Turks, we live in Turkey, this country was won by Turks with nationalistic feelings, nationalism and patriotism are the cornerstones of a country, without them the eternity of our country is discussed, and eventually we assimilate and disappear from the stage of history (like many states that have disappeared from the stage of history) 3-If a religion rules the country, it prevents its development, if no religion is found in a country and is banned, it prevents cultural diversity, but if a religion does not rule the country, a nation will be raised on the path of civilization away from "reactionary" thoughts. Period.

    Keeping anyone in power for so long is not beneficial to any nation. This happened in Australia for many years as the Labor Party were kept in power by a charismatic leader. How is freedom of speech going in Turkey at the moment, how is the economy and the Lira? The current regime in Turkey imprisons more members of the media than any other nation in the world. Has people's standard of living improved, can common people afford to live with comfort in their own homeland or has inflation made life difficult? Turkey should have been voted into the EU years ago but it keeps identifying Greece as a "common enemy" which is nothing but a smoke-screen for keeping "strong" Erdogan in power causing division and fear. Giving one person so much power for so long has been ruinous for Turkey. Now is the time to vote this man out. A progressive Turkey is good for everyone.

    Turkiyë should invest in exporting its pop culture and use it as a soft power tool on the global stage. Somewhat like ROK has successfully done. Although it might not change people's lives immediately, I do believe this is a smart way of attracting foreign investment and tourism to boost the local economy.

    • @Intellectualodysseyai
      @Intellectualodysseyai ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Turkey has been exporting soft power much longer than you think. It reaches Turkic nations and ex ottomon territory as well as surrounding areas. Turkish dramas reach all the way to Brazil, and from Russians to arabs to Indians all grew up listening to Turkish music. These are just some of the examples. In fact, Turkeys soft power is arguably its biggest advantage in the international stage currently. If you factor in other important things such as being worlds top tourism destination, it's rich cuisine and popular language, you have a top 5 world soft power. Most western don't realise this but ask any Middle Eastern, Pakistani, Eastern European and you will have a clearer understanding

So he lent fire fighting plane from over 10 countries, among them Isreal, France, Germany, Greece etc. And he had seriously the gutts the say thank you to Israel for is planes on Instagram after he criticised Isreal for killing Palestinians a few months back in Ramadan. To make matters worse Erdogan possesses 13 private jets!!! He only is interested in himself. This report unfortunately does not accurately reflect the actual situation. Many things were misunderstood by the authors (to put it nicely). The opposition situation is completely fragile and cobbled together in a makeshift way. The parties involved have fundamentally different starting points and programs. A takeover by this "coalition" would mean a setback of several decades for Turkey. The HDP is also not the representation of the Kurds in Turkey. The HDP is a left-radical party that is directly in union with the PKK and other militant terrorist organizations. Regarding the issue of ethnicity, the AKP has more Kurdish voters than the foreign-controlled HDP. Even fans of the CHP are convinced by surveys that the AKP can competently solve the current world economic problems affecting Turkey better than their own party. Kilicdaroglu is anything but a democrat when considering his leadership style within the CHP.

    Erdogan has done a lot of good for our country.
    During the time when the opposition was in power, getting medication was difficult, and we had to wait for days in line at the hospital. Simple operations could take months to schedule, and the infrastructure was poor. The government struggled to pay the salaries of civil servants and retirees, and there were frequent shortages of gas, petrol, food, and water. The country was plagued with instability due to frequent coups.
    Today, however, we have hospitals in every city, excellent infrastructure, including highways, train stations, airports, and ports. Erdogan has transformed our healthcare system by building new hospitals in major cities, and our national security has improved with the introduction of drones, tanks, and other technologies. Our defense industry has never been stronger, and we have fully paid off our state debt to the IMF.
    It's worth noting that some opposition political leaders openly support the PKK, which is a designated terrorist organization in Turkey, the EU, and the US. This is comparable to a political member in other countries defending ISIS, which is unacceptable and outrageous.
    Turkey has achieved many impressive projects under Erdogan's leadership, including Istanbul Airport, Istanbul Canal, Marmaray Tunnel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (the longest suspension bridge in the world with a total length of 2,164 meters), and various housing projects.( The houses built by the government did not collapse. Most of the houses destroyed by the earthquake were built by contractors who cut corners on the steel reinforcement of the buildings to make extra profit.) We have also developed our own electric car and produced our own drones, tanks, and missiles. Those who oppose Erdogan may not want to see a strong and independent Turkey.

    Regularly following Al Jazeera's reports on Turkey, I am disappointed that a homogenous, unnuanced “conservatives vs. secularists” divide has gained currency to describe Turkish politics again. The report touches upon the case of HDP at some point, and that’s it. What about the religious, confessional, and even regional polarizations and enmity that cut across the divide? What about centuries-old stigmas, otherization, and the lack of social equality? This election's result may alter Turkey's well-established and well-preserved bureaucratic and social structures. We deserve more detailed coverage 😊

    This is good, someone at last decided to put a near realistic light on the situation at hand. Erdogan is authoritarian but Turkey still remains a democracy in its core. He might lose and with enough voter margin, he would be forced to leave in silence. Voter difference plays a role here of course. Turkey is not autocracy, but he is an authoritarian for sure. They are not necessarily same thing.
