  • Join us for an Alaskan forest adventure! It's a wonderful thing to be able to forage in the birch forest for medicine, water and food! Learn what trees can provide certain resources.
We are not experts in plant identification, however feel comfortable sharing our passion for nature.
Our family believes in natural medicine as our first choice for treatments. We enjoy practicing old traditions and ways of life. We enjoy learning and educating on how things were done in the "old days"....
    Thank you for joining us!!!

Thank you for watching! I will be making my cottonwood bud salve very soon. It works amazing with mosquitos bites and burns. I personally use it over antibiotics ointment most times... and it does the same thing for me or even better

I love it I don't know the name of it but there is a book out that tells you how to repel insects, during the summertime when the really bad, there's four ingredients I don't know what they are right now. It's a book about Alaska herbs I just don't remember.

We do have some dandelions later in tne season. I am for sure harvesting for salves and teas.
We did not eat the beet tops but I do think I added them to smoothies last year. Beets are crazy healthy!!!
