Jazwares encourage scalpers in all their lines until the lines are established. It is so toxic, but once the brand has a bit of staying power we will see them releasing higher numbers, and chase figures being less of a thing. Squishmallows were a nightmare to collect for years but now that they're "worthless" in the collector market, they're more fun to collect. You can regularly find a variety in stores now that collectors are only able to get like ~$50 for dumping their entire collection. Sucks that we the consumer have to bitr the bullet for these multi million dollar companies just to get knick knacks we want but this is the world we've let the powers that ne design for us. In my opinion we should scan as many products as we can for 3D printers to replicate and cut corporations out of the economy as much as possible. This set is what made me leave the Facebook groups I was in. I didn’t get it, it was in my cart and checking out, had shipping issue, didn’t get it, sold out. I was angry yes but i moved on after 2 hours, because whining and bitching wasn’t gonna get me one. I found the groups too negative after the fact and just said I’m done with them. I’m not gonna stop collecting these ships, I love them, but I don’t need no Facebook group full of haters bringing me down, as these ships are one way I’ve been coping with my big brothers death 2 months ago. I only needed Aayla anyway so I ain’t terribly upset, there are other scores to be had from me
I agree with you, I was upset that as well. I was there early just to get in on the deal. I understand folks venting their frustration ...... because.... it was frustrating! I think that my gripe isn't to all the scalpers that had them listed on ebay 2 seconds after they went up, but I think my main frustration was at Jazwares for putting a 3 limit on such a limited amount to begin with. If there was a 1 limit more people may have had a better day.
@@TheSilversniffer I totally agree here. I think they way over corrected for the Hoth set not selling out faster. That said it did sell out. Let’s hope they make a correct with this next release.
Scalpers don’t flip, they scalp/gouge. Flipping a toy means you imparted value on the item like a restoration or a customization. You’re also posting in public on YT which has a like/dislike and comments section. If you don’t want negativity/criticism/scrutiny YT isn’t the place for it. A blog would be best for avoiding any feedback you don’t like.
