Today we are doing a FULL TUTORIAL on ALL the functions of the module 5410 in this Casio GShock GPW-1000 Gravitymaster, the first ever watch to feature both Atomic radio reception as well as GPS capabilities, making it the first ever watch to be accurate ANYWHERE in the world. Since it's also solar powered, it is a true set it and forget it kind of watch.

I have had this watch from 2014 (day after launch), bought new. I wouldn't recommend it. For me, the GPS reception function has simply stopped working. I can't verify the MultiBand 6 as I am in a country that doesn't reliably receive the radio signal. So I'm reduced to setting the watch manually. In addition, the strap is quite brittle despite having all kinds of "carbon resin" and what not labels. And as someone else mentioned, it is an uncomfortable watch to wear. Yup, heavy and chunky, and that would be fine except the damn crown really does dig into the dorsum of your hand if you wear it on the left wrist.
Even when the watch was working perfectly, the GPS reception for time and place would take quite a long time (minutes) even in a perfectly empty field under a clear sky. Time alone is a bit quicker, but it's still inconvenient.
Plus the UI (user interface) is ridiculously unintuitive and overcomplicated. This video makes it look easy, but it shouldn't even have to be explained like this. And many functions are crippled from the factory with the lack of a digital display. Only a 24 min stopwatch and no split function, for example. And the alarm is one of the quietest I've ever heard. Probably to save on the solar battery, but it's not actually usable and I'm not that heavy a sleeper.
In short, this watch is vastly overpriced for what you actually get. Steer clear of it. Go for the newer Bluetooth models. I have two, and they work very well. Everyone has a smartphone nowadays. And simple Bluetooth only models are so much cheaper than anything with GPS functionality. The point of the GPW-2000 (the updated version of this) having GPS + MB6 + Bluetooth really escapes me. Save your dimes.

have been searching all over the net how to set the time manually instead of set up through bluetooth for that watch seem not to find one

My 3 rd one of these arrived today... just my fav watch after only one. Omega Speedmaster. This is second only to that in my book. Totally different watches of course, but what’s wrong with being eclectic?

If anyone will know the answer to this question then I would say its you. The Gulfmaster GWN 1000 has the letters A & P in red on the face of the watch next to the 12 o'clock mark......what are these letters for
They are AM PM indicators when setting the alarm for instance

Goed nieuws. Ik heb dit horloge ong 3 jaar geleden gekocht in Japan. Het horloge is nog in goede staat. Indien u geïnteresseerd bent, dan kan ik u foto’s sturen van het horloge. Verder valt over de prijs te onderhandelen.

@@traviswalker8933 exactly. There is only a GPS time sync. That lower right button on all my atomic watches is an atomic sync on my GPS watches it is a GPS time sync.
@@daddyshark702 it will only sync with radio towers if it does not receive atomic time signal.
I have a problem with my GPW1000-1B.. everytime i will do manual time calibration thru "TIME" or "T+P". The second hand will just directly point to "NO" and back to timekeeping mode, without doing any searching. Any tips on how to solve this problem? thank you.
Change the home city to another one in the same time zone
@@WatchGeek Only one city is for +8, which is HKG. Does power saving mode had anything to do with it? I already charge the watch for 2 days under sunlight of our house window.
