- South Park has had a crazy history starting from 1997 and is currently on it's 26th season it's sure to have some untold secrets. It has almost been banned had lost episodes and its creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone can't seem to stay out of controversy.

Years ago I remember the commercial for what would be the episode Red Hot Catholic Love (season 6, episode 8) being completely different from what was featured in the episode. The commercial presented a church mass being in session and Father Maxi explaining that a camping trip was coming up where it would be just him and the children of the church being allowed to go on, which then cut to the boys with shocked/worried expressions on their faces. The actual episode had nothing to do with Father Maxi behaving in such a manner, or any sort of camping trip.
Interesting, I've seen a fair few others with altered scenes in commercials will keep a lookout for that
I loved the ninja star segment so much. The first seasons DVD features them by the fireside with a new dog every episode, without acknowledging the dog changed
They could have been great comedic actors if didn't make south park haha
It’s one that I don’t hear anyone talk about, but I’d put it in tier 5: the LA Kings skits that Matt and trey make for breaks between games to rally fans. Cart man is typically shown as either a king or a hockey player and either kills Kenny dressed in the opposing team’s clothing or if they have a mascot then he’ll kill that and follow it up with a “let’s go kings! Let’s go kings!” Chant. These aren’t meant to be distributed, only 2 are available in HD with one have text on it saying it isn’t meant to be distributed.
Yeah I saw that after upload, it still had a fair few views though the Hockey clips so don't know if too well known, good find though

There was a period of a few seasons where post-premier edits were common. I remember season 10 having a lot in particular. Specifically, the 3 Murderers scene from "Hell On Earth 2006" was much shorter and different than the current one. Also some scenes with the midget from "With Apologies To Jesse Jackson" were altered.

I remember there being rumors of a Michael Jackson molestation joke being removed in the first Big Al episode, where the commentator gets abruptly cut off by a smash cut.
The best thing about South Park was the Brit TV Doc from a few years back (2012-ish ?) about a 5 day period behind the scenes. It demonstrates how the show has an insane creative team and although animated and produced using cutting edge hardware/software/technology....it retains that crappy animation style that has made the show so endearing to fans all these years.

Does everyone know where there was that bubblegum like Commercial where there were South Park knockoff-looking characters, that look a lot like Cartman and Stan (but with different colors) it starts with that Cartman showing off the bubblegum (the one with boxing gloves on it, can’t remember the name of it) stan tries it and his cheeks start chewing (using stretches effect to give it that punchy feeling in beachside of the cheeks) as Stan goes “whoa!” as he changes colors,
Then somewhere it cuts the bubblegum itself, the cartman saying about the bubblegum and said “Get it, NOW!”
It was in the mid-2000s when I first saw it, not sure if the creators of the show were involved in the ad (given that they used bootleg-like characters of the show). Does everyone remember that ad? I tried to find it on youtube. Is this ad lost media?

@@tendohh Possibly from the UK, I’m from Australia when I first saw it so it’s possible it was a AUS ad and very much a knock-off.
