Ummm how is it possible that he can play like this??? Obviously practice, but this is another level of technical perfection that I can't even comprehend!
As someone who's played the flute for 12 years, his embouchure is very strange, but it gets the job done and amazing at that!
I was thinking the same thing lol. I was like how is he playing like that?
I guess if you find a decent spot to place the flute, practice will carry you!
Maybe he has shoulder and back problems. Flute can be reckless with that areas.
He has a tear drop or cupids bow in his top lip so has to play at the side. It's quite extreme.

Impressive artist. Also his unique embouchure method is amazing! I can imagine his teacher at 8y.o. "if you keep playing like this you can't be a Flutist"...dammit he is amongst the best of the best!

I noticed that too. Got me thinking bcuz I've been trying to ply the flute again. (as a complete beginner) I tried it when I was younger, & that was my main issue: Getting sound to come out based on my embesure. Gave me the idea to experiment more broudly rather than just do what might be considered "technically correct". :)
Jaw dropping crazy double tonguing! It's true! I heard he was fast! He's the ling ling of flute playing! Encouraging that his embouchure is off to the side, as mine is as well.
I had no idea flute could be played like that. Is there any extra benefit to it or is it just a different style with same result?
@@spoodergwen it's a technique to help you play faster. Not many can do it this well!
This embochure is not a technique ti play faster, it Is just only HIS embochure, he is able to play flute with this embochure. If an embochure works for a flutist, why changing It?
@@leorusso6784 Exactly! It works for him! I find it encouraging that an embouchure like his works for him, so we can all have various embouchure that work for us, too! No, it is not a technique to play faster, that's a separate comment. His speed is amazing! His embouchure is different, and it works, so those of us who don't have a centered embouchure don't have to worry - we can reach our potential with different embouchures based on us:)
This version of the la campanella is not paganini/Liszt... its just the original paganini version that was transported from violin to flute.
His articulation is bar none. Incredible!!!
Sounds as if this is originally written for flute.

His embouchure-in a way-reminds me of Rampal’s embouchure too. I remember being inspired by their type of embouchure and experimenting with it but people were always like “no, don’t do that!”

This is a piece by Paganini and not by Lizst. List wrote an etude based on this piece, but it is not playable on a flute. This is the Paganini original.

Yes, he has a different embouchure but it actually works for him. And he has really good intonation, I think something tells me you gotta work on your intonation if you consider this bad

His embouchure is completely fine, spoke to him personally and had a conversation regarding embouchure and even his professors agree that embouchure is up to your comfort.
