You need 6500 Drachmas for this ship, Georgia, or B43. Here is how you can get it:
4500 Drachmas for finishing the campaign with admiralty backing (Velos as reward) - 1750 doubloons (2500 up front, you get 750 back from doing the campaign)
1500 Drachmas for doing the calendar - $0
2000 Drachmas for completing the treasure hunt - $0, and if you finish it, you are guaranteed a T5 premium.
You could also choose Independence or Aigle. But I wouldn't. get your moneys worth with a tier 7.

Considering that Siegfried is apart of the O Class blueprints for the Kreigsmarine, she would be considered a battlecruiser, as the blueprints clasify her as a battlecruiser. So you aren't wrong by calling it a battlecruiser

Also funny match I had in the ship. I put Scharnhorst on the ship with Will to rebuild and that one skill that gives you extra repair parties. Managed to tank around 110k damage with Will to rebuild :>

Thanks for revisiting this ship. I was not too impressed when I first played it, and it was just rusting in port. After watching this, I gave it another try and I've been having a lot of fun. A little trolly at times, but really rewarding at other times.
Maybe the buff helped a little 😄
You gave me a bit of inspiration to dust Siegfried out, I obtained it through the campaign all those years ago. Always struggled with it! Definitely needs something more than a 1 second buff, give it the vanguard buff 🤣
lmaooo, in certain situations it will be terrible. But in others, this thing is a ton o fun. Again, took me a few matches to get the one where blue team was there just enough, and the reds played their part as well

@@DerkaGames Not sure, 406 mm guns are pretty common at the tier so she's wouldn't be unstoppable; also, she'd still be vulnerable to HE spam . But again, it's a piss poor argument since bortas exists at t6 with Edinburgh's armor scheme. I think the original reasoning was t8 didn't exist at the time of Siegfried's introduction so they didn't want it to be too powerful, but again with current ships being introduced into the game it should be reexamined.

I feel similarly about Schroeder, a recent Campaign ship. Labelled a Tier 8 Cruiser, her secondary guns make her terrifying at a respectable range. No torps and some people say the main guns are so-so - but I find they work great for finishing off ships buzzsawed by the secondaries. Also surprisingly tough - this is a ship MEANT to go In Harm's Way. Arguably a Supercruiser, at minimum, likely makes the grade as a Battlecruiser. All-in secondary build, with Azur Lane Bismarck as Commander.
Schroder is great, I wonder if I still have the damage record for her? hmmm

Sometimes it’s more fun to watch the game 😆 I’d rather watch one of the guys stream then play myself most of the time
Ive had Siegfried since the campaign and always found a way with him, that 90mm belt is your best friend in this ship. Keep your distance and watch your angles that bow is squishy to anything bigger then 15in guns so be smart when dealing with Georgia's and Repub's. My best comander builds have mostly been P2W Hyde, scharny, spee, and Reigerwald make her shine.
The build I've found makes her more of an all rounder has been Hyde 16/3 with Not one for the nuisance, porcupine, (only have secondary skills cause hyde is my hybrid BB commander) Marksman, MM, and FFWF, with inspirations hipper and Madden.
I find the only real issue with the ship is the slow MB reload so if you put main battery reload in slot 4 be sure to but Turret rotation in slot 1. Hope this helps!

@@DerkaGames If memory serves, the Royal Navy snuck a few aircraft carrier designs past the government as cruisers. They presented them only the side views for reference.
In WOWS, I'm only guessing they are muddling the classes just to try and find some sort of balance... ha.
As for today's classes,,, look at the Spruance/Ticonderoga/Arleigh Burke's hulls and try to tell me there's a huge class distinction.

So just pulled this out of a summer big crate!? I agree this is the bow tanking cruiser youve always wanted if you angle correctly. I run it with Erich Bey as commander with mikawa and Yamato as inspirations. You get 10.4 sea det. Twist n track, and the best perk leviathan. Give it a try, great videos btw

To me Siegfried is my best pick over Gneisenau. Siegfried is a great support/damage dealer. That sonar is amazing!
The accuracy is less frustrating. But wish she was as accurate on pc version.

Her guns are pre buff Bismarck guns. Her guns lack a lot of pen making riegerwald the best choice to buff the guns.

something to note BB's cannot easily citadel you at close range because of the turtle back, it's best to go broadside because they can overmatch your nose

@@DerkaGames Thanks Derka, I have Plymouth at 7, I play CCs and DDs primarily so Georgia isn't something I'm going to play ofter. Belfast doesn't make sense with Plymouth already. I don't have any t7 premuim cruisers. Like you I prefer light, fast, quick firing cruisers but Siegfried is much like the Constellation. It/s faster than a BB but able to take damage and has a good alpha strike.
I burn myself out on warship getting Enterprise I decided to take some time off because I spent a entire month getting Enterprise

This ship is based off of the O-class Battlecruiser design. So yeah, Sigfried is 100% a battlecruiser, so why she isn’t considered a battleship when the other German battlecruisers are, is an enigma.

I think she is considered a cruiser in the game, cuz six 380mm guns would be too little for a BB at this tier. By calling it a cruiser they can get away with 6 guns of a lets be honest quite small of a caliber for a BB at that tier (most have 406s) and get a bonus of the customer saying: "wow, a cruiser with 380mm guns! I've gotta have it!".
@@Diedwhilemakingwaffles The Zieten has the exact same number and almost the same caliber of guns, while being at the same tier and being classified as a battleship. Also there are plenty of Tier VII BB’s with 15 inch guns. There is no excuse for this oversight on Wargamings part.
@@aidanshay5846I guess, if you consider 16 1/2 inch guns close to 15 inch guns. At the tier, we have only three ships I think with 15inch guns(two of them being German Battlecruisers). They were classified as cruisers to get around the problems other nations had with Battleships

i agree there are not a lot of tier 7 options
i brought Azuma 3 months ago and since then i fell inlove with the Super cruiser gameplay where Main guns still able punch through any Battleships Armor while having a still decent Armor protection..
however how accurate is Seigefried compare to Azuma..
Azuma's Both HE and AP are both great you can both Burn enemies or farm Citadel strike ribbons..
and Azuma recently i was able to Shot down 83 aircraft yesterday with it...Its AA never disappoints.
Siegfried HE was the only downside of this cruiser
Azuma has 2.0 sigma and a hybrid Bc and cruiser dispersion, which is unique to only her
Siegfried has 2.0 sigma and slightly worse Bc dispersion.
Azuma is more accurate

If you want a ridiculous build for Siegfried, go for AL Spee, 10.3 detection range and your AA outranges your air detection

@@DerkaGames it’s a fun ambush build that also allows for easy disengaging in situations that Siegfried can’t deal with. She’s definitely one of Siegfrieds top slots for commanders

Ah the battle cruiser battleship debate. After WW1 I think it’s really unclear and every country seems to have a different definition. So call it what ever you want both could be right.

I’m brand new to the game do u have a video explaining the benefits to what ammunition to use ex. HE/AP rounds or torpedoes
maybe one of the beginner videos. in ships like this and battleships you will shoot AP 90% of the time.
AP is great for broadside ships, you can deal catastrophic damage very quickly. HE is good for ships that are bow in to you or angled heavily, because your AP will just bounce. Honestly the official wows pc channel has videos on this:

This mah baby you can build her to be a stealthy speed demon survivability
Her HE isn’t great but it can pin and knock out light cruiser models suprisingly well
You can be stealthy and fast and bough to get the first shot off and turn out immediately aswell
Trust me she pretty much is my main lol
U get her speed up to 37 knots and you will absolutely terror anything that is light and you can catch dds off guard aswell they don’t expect such a massive boat to move that fast n get in sonar range lol as long as your moving fast you pretty much can dodge watever you want as long as you angle
If you keep your stealth build good you can chase kiting cruisers lol especially with 11km detection range, if they are separated anyways lol
They will be fear struck and in terror the rest of the game all you have to do is swap to HE and knock their engines out lmao
I do this all the time and they become sitting ducks I can close the gap on fast and proceed to dump so into them😂😂😂
I’ll have to try your HE trick against kiting cruiser, cause they definitely were problematic for me

I always take out their modules people forgot that seigfried has BB guns not the best but they are still BB guns and can take out ship modules and that especially applies to the HE

It feel quite weird playing her tbh. Even while properly angled i just get smashed for 10/15k, cause ppl just know how to play. It is literally a potato-punishing ship, but very limited against any good player. Still very fun to play tho
that could be, guess it depends on whats shooting you and from where. German armor is usually better up close. Plunging fire could be getting through your decks. But at that range you should be able to just go dark and not get smashed for 15k?

similar hulls and layout sure, but Siegfried is much more accurate, perhaps a bit less tanky? i forget what G wagon HP is. And cruiser commanders give amazing perks such as fixated and punch through, that can make ships like this better than BB counterpart

I haven't played the Gneisenau basically since I got the Bismarck. So maybe I'd need to play her again to see how bad she is.
But in your game I was really not impressed with the dispersion of the S. 6 guns or not.

I have a question that is probably a new player dilemma mostly, eventhough I am a seasoned player now. Should I get rid of premium ships I have and if I should is there any other option than just sell it for dubloons (or what is the currency in this game)? I have a lot of tier 2 premium ships that I didn't use once and I know I won't touch 'em ever

Selling premium ships is not smart, you will only be able to sell them for in game currency (silver). Premiums often drop in random crates (big crates, Santa crates, etc). If you have sold a premium you don’t care for, it’s possible you could pull it in a random crate, and get back the ship you sold, instead of a different premium you actually want
