One remarks I have regarding No Power Points rule - it's I don't understand why I have never seen a setting that uses this rule alongside with usual power points. I think it's a great tool to divide Arcane Backgrounds from each other. In my games I usually rule divine casters as No Power Point casters while arcane casters still uses usual rules.

That is a really interesting idea. I am not sure how balanced it us, but its Savage Worlds. Who cares about balance? Haha

Might be useful for newer GMs to the system for you to go over some campaign concepts (some fairly ordinary, but some fairly out there to showcase how SW is at handling oddball genres) and what setting rules you'd use for them.

Indeed. I've thought about doing a live series where I make different settings or different characters trying to showcase the depth of Savage Worlds.

It was great to listen to your story on Savage Universe

Thanks for listening. I'll probably do a video about it at some point.

@The Savage Goose What is your view of the Savage Worlds Rifts campaign setting?

I backed the original Savage Rifts back when it was released for Deluxe edition. I never ended up reading through the boks because it just seemed like a lot at the time. Now that SWADE is out and SWADE version of the books, I would like to get the SWADE versions.
It is a popular setting, but I think I need to get a better understanding of it before I tried for myself. It feels like it is combat focused, and that is not the kind of game I am going for right now.

Hi! I found your channel yesterday and blasted through most of the videos and some of the iivestream recordings already.
I've been running Pokeymanz, an edited version of Savage Worlds for about a year now. I have a new campaign idea which to put simply is a mix of Persona and Digimon. Players are humans in a world where some weird things have been happening lately. Players will go through a some sort of digital device or computer into the digital world to deal with these weird problems which turn out to be some kind of digital monsters. I want the little mosters to be helpers for the party members, but the party members themselves do the fighting.
Which already existing material would you recommend for me to check out? I have modified the Pokeymanz system quite a lot, but that's already a modified version of Savage Worlds so I have no experience in creating my own world and modifying Savage Worlds rules. I'd prefer if everybody has a very little amount of HP so the battles are quick and every hit matters.

Hello! I am a big fan of Digimon, but have always wondered myself the best way to handle partners, whether pokemon or digimon.
For digimon specifically it is hard because they have their own personalities and are full NPCs with full conversational abilities.
That being said, the summoner in the fantasy companion would probably be a good start to look at in comparison to the Pokeymanz. I have not dived to far into that myself though, so I can't give many pieces advice for making Digimon Tamers outside of that, and I have not played the Persona games.
I hope the videos have been helpful.

Good material, presented quickly and concisely. I'm a fan. People are going to tell you you need to slow down. These people are wrong. What you need to do is enunciate. Make sure your consonants are crisp and clear so that your words are clear even with the fast-paced delivery. A presentation like this is very much a vocal performance, so it wouldn't hurt to look up some warm-ups to do before recording.

Yes. It has been an ongoing issue in my life. The librarian in high school called me Mr. Mumbles. I just have to keep working on it. Thanks though!

You could give examples of how to use the setting rules. A setting with Conviction Rules affords heroes the agility to power through a turn of combat like no one's business. Adding Luck to that makes your characters buzz saws that defeat just about anything for a short burst. I think the choices of backlash, gritty damage, and dumb luck to be kind of odd. Making combat and spell casting more deadly/gritty then allowing the players a get out of jail free card seems to be at odds with a more "realistic/gritty" feel.

Good stuff, but presented a bit fast 😅

Yeah, you would think with all of my experience with public speaking, I would have this resolved by now.

SWADE is Fast, Furious, Fun, so Goose talking fast is just part of the SWADE experience.
