Ah Nordeg! Last and only time that I stopped there for gas,it was closed.I get those pretrip jitters up until I finally pull out of the yard and head east to the Kootenays. Perhaps we'll share the Back Fourty again.
Can fully relate to your first of the season camping hesitancy and the annual gathering/collecting and packing supplies. I thought it was just me as I age. You are definitely not camping alone as the size of the mosquito crawling across your hoodie around the 7 minute mark is huge. If there are many of these hope you had a transfusion kit complete with blood bags packed in your gear...🤣
I am truly surprised that you don't have more views for your videos, perhaps its because you don't put out the volume others do, but the content, well written and delivered and the video production of your motorcycling is really fine. You create stories and not 'vlogs'. Thanks for your efforts and for the enjoyment I get from listening and viewing them. And if you are considering moving to the west coast consider southern Vancouver Island where the weather and sunlight and great access to roads and gravel are better than Vancouver. Cheers!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, sometimes I get a bit discouraged when I consider the “effort to views” ratio on my videos, but I’ll keep plugging away. They say TH-cam is a marathon, not a sprint. And, yes, I think if I doubled or tripled my output that would help. But then the quality would suffer. Besides, I’m still learning. 😎
Jeremy's back! Great to see you again with an update and a very entertaining one. You grade yourself too low after camping in deep bear country. That's an A+ for knowledge and bravery in my book. Idea: Set a calendar event with reminders on your phone for March/April 2023 to retrieve your gear from storage. That will give you a few weeks in your apartment to sort through it and prepare at your leisure.
Man.... next time you need to write something in your gratitude journal, you should devote an entire entry to your hair. It's fantastic, you lucky bastard
You’re narrative is hilariously entertaining 😜 I’m presently going through the first camp jitters and I’m not leaving for another month! So much to do, to prep and no time……ahhhhh Never camped around wild horses before, that’s cool. And those falls were sweet! Another great video Jeremy, thanks! Cheers from sun deprived Vancouver island. I gotta go to the pharmacy now and get my vitamin D supplements 🤣
Hey man. This video is actually from last June, in 2021. But I’m sure I’ll have a similar experience this summer, when it finally warms up. Thinking about you, and wishing you the best.
Just come across your channel, love this video not seen the rest of your vids but will also listen the your audiobook at last 6 times, nice to put a face to the voice, keep up the good work.
Procrastination is my nemesis. Making my first motorcycle camping experience a positive one is a daunting task, i have all new moto gear, ( as i was a camping bicyclist before.)but the weather, Hail and thunderstorms,( Its July 2023) Bears, not being able to have a campfire, one of the major reasons i would go Moto camping, annoy my start. I have done all the roads, you just did but not camp. I motelled it. The Hwy 734/40 past Nordegg is a good one too, I just have to buck up, Damn you Procrap!
I mix it up. Sometimes I use motels. Sometimes I camp. There’s no wrong way to go, in my opinion. My dad used to ride all over BC and the Western US. He always brought camping gear, and he never camped. Just loaded it on the bike in the morning, and into the hotel at night. The older I get, the more I understand that. 😬😎😃
With a motorcycle? Hmm. Plan out your fuel stops, I’d say. Go slow, have fun. 😎 Prepare for rain and bugs. 😬 I did that trip a few years back. It’s fantastic, in spite of the challenges.
Glad to hear that I am not the only one who suffers from first trip anxiety. I make lists, pack, unpack, repack, recheck the list, make a new list, go buy something, then decide I don't need it, unpack,....then force myself to go.
Excellent video Jeremy! I enjoy that you're a normal, disorganized , last minute kind of guy. Keep up the great content...at your own pace of course! If you're riding in or through Ontario look me up and I'll buy you a beer! Take Care
First "Big" trip every year is july 1st long weekend.. all bike maintenance and gear check... Thursday... every damn time! Also Hwy 40 is amazing all the way down to crowsnest. I did Drayton Valley down to Canmore on a China 150cc scooter in 2018! Nordegg is proper gods country.
Yup. I love the Trunk Road. I’ve done it in pieces from Coleman to Hinton. It’s all good … especially if you don’t have to do it on holiday weekends. And, once again, I’m not prepping my gear yet. Just making videos. So I expect a repeat of this experience.
I have the same inertia issues. Love the sense of humor. Will have to get my KLR over to the Rockies. We have interesting terrain in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, but it pales in comparison to the real elevation change you have out west. Keep up the great work.
Mr. Jeremy, I am about to watch this video of yours and did you see the NEW "c90 Adventures" video yet.? I'm excited to watch it next. I remember all your Ed March interviews. hee hee Would Ed allow you to do videos about his past videos, I really think you two are magic together. P.S. - Are you watching our "SHHH Moto Travels" this summer.? (smiles)
Hey Jeremy, I've made it out last weekend. I'm an asphalt commando but don't have the PanAmerica model. ;) First big trip is coming - June. Trying for a BBG, a H2H Gold, then a BBG home. All over two weekends plus the week off work... Cool video, I did the Highwood Pass last summer. Those falls look like a sight to see. I'm guessing far off the pavement though. I guess I can Goog them. Shame about the mess - assholes are assholes.
The opening narrative here is great!! From a guy that lives in Alberta, the truck nut and f**k Trudeau sticker package 😂😂 so accurate lol great video!!
I can relate to some of the things you like and don’t about that first outing of the season. Loved the bit on the book report.
Thanks. Ultimately, that first trip is a struggle, yes … but I’m so looking forward to it again this year.
🤣🤣🤣 “…turn blue and recede…” 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that was funny!
Procrastination, anxiety, shame, self deprecation……..success! ………….yup, the process. 👏👏👍👍
I could stand to lose some of that process. But it seems to work. 😂
Ah Nordeg! Last and only time that I stopped there for gas,it was closed.I get those pretrip jitters up until I finally pull out of the yard and head east to the Kootenays. Perhaps we'll share the Back Fourty again.
I’ll definitely be back there at some point this summer. 😎

Watching this again months after the first time. You are very funny! I can relate to many things you say and feel.
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I wrestle with myself most days. Especially that first camping trip of the year.

Good idea about the reminders. I have trouble doing things until they’re absolutely necessary … or even slightly after that. 😂
Very entertaining, thanks for the good humor and adventure!!
Thanks for watching. More to come!
So nice to see some familiar territory! Thanks! I can't believe how much Nordegg has changed!
Yup. Two gas stations, but the old hotel is still the place to grab food. 😎
Man.... next time you need to write something in your gratitude journal, you should devote an entire entry to your hair. It's fantastic, you lucky bastard
Motorcycle camping sounds like a great idea. Maybe this year.
It’s challenging sometimes, but rewarding. 😎

I want to move to Vancouver Island. I’m just jealous. 😎
Nice looking weather. Glad you are out so early in the season. Hopefully it means many good km’s to come.

Very nice Jeremy, really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing more. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks. More to come! Elle and I still need to make some videos from South America, too. 😎

Good video and yes the snow can bugger off now!
Right? I’m ready to ride already. 😊
@@JeremyKroeker Don't look out the window. It's snowing again in Airdrie.
awesome video MATE enjoy the summer ride safe
Thanks kindly! Yup, the summer riding was great, and safe. Now it’s winter so I’m waiting for spring to get back at it. 😎
Nice and relaxing video. Enjoyed it. I’ve hit the like and sub button. Have a great riding season. 🇸🇪🇨🇦

Nice one. Thanks for sharing. :-)
No prob, Bob.
I'm in Ontario and can relate..Canada is hard to be a motorcycle rider...your video made me laugh and totally relate thank you
It’s tough in Canada, for sure. The reward is getting to really appreciate the fleeting summers we have. 😎
Glad to hear that I am not the only one who suffers from first trip anxiety. I make lists, pack, unpack, repack, recheck the list, make a new list, go buy something, then decide I don't need it, unpack,....then force myself to go.
I suspect a lot more people feel this way than we know. I usually feel better if I can make myself go. 😎

Much appreciated. 😎
I did a couple trips to ram falls last summer….doing the FTR on the first week of June…I’m already packed
Nice! I love that road (when I catch it without much traffic). I’m going to ride it soon … but I won’t pack until the last minute … again. 😂
Good story.
Thanks!
Great humor! 🤣

As a BC resident I can confirm the year round riding but (and this is a massive BUT) the rain is f**king atrocious. Makes me miss sask
I basically left Saskatchewan because of the wind. 😂 Maybe there’s a move to BC in my future.
@@JeremyKroeker fair, well on the north island we have both wind and constant rain so...im not so sure about it lol

The falls are off the pavement, yes. But if you can endure some gravel, they’re worth a look. And that Gray Pass is something else, hey? I love it.
Thanks for the great videos. Rounding up my camping stuff is on my to do list. Anyone know where my list is?
Right? I used to have a great camping list on my phone. Then my phone ended up in the ocean and I’ve still never replaced the list. 😂
Nice video. Was this motocamp done in April? I didn’t think the snow would be gone so early up in that country.
I'm having trouble finding the date I did this trip (some lost files), but I think it was very early June, 2021. Best guess.
The opening narrative here is great!! From a guy that lives in Alberta, the truck nut and f**k Trudeau sticker package 😂😂 so accurate lol great video!!

Checklists! With photos! (Is this advice I take myself? No, of course not.)
I had a great checklist on my old phone (not backed up), but then I went swimming (with my phone in my pocket by mistake).
@@JeremyKroeker New item for next checklist: do not go swimming with phone.
