- These pesky enemies make each "Zelda" adventure just a little bit tougher. For this list, we’ll be looking at regular enemies that cause us the most frustration throughout “The Legend of Zelda.” We won’t be including mini-bosses unless they're a regular enemy from one game that has been beefed up as a mini-boss in another. Lynels for sure, but man back in the day the Iron Knuckle was as bad as they came! I hope they return....
You can avoid most Lynels.... Iron Knuckles are in most castles/dungeons you have to beat in older games
lmao when I first tried the Lyne, it was a silver Lynel and I defeated him (I can't tell how proud I was)
Hell no theres so many enemies harder than the lynel (do we count bosses too?)

@@majoraz_ I mean yeah but Waterblight is way harder in my opinion I was plahing BotW late at night and at about 4:38 i got to the boss and I just gave up it was tpo hard but thunder blight is easier if you learn the pattern but true its harder than lynels
Not an enemy, but the physics letting roll down a small incline forever after one Hit in BotW deserves a dishonorable mention

Except Thunderblight Ganon… I had SUCH a hard time with that one, I flew through the other ones with ease though

#1 for me is 1000% those mf blue bird knights in the Great Palace in Zelda 2. If you know what I'm talking about, you freaking KNOW

I’m old. My first Zelda game was the second game. Iron Knuckles were awful!! Trying to defeat a blue one was maddening for my teenage self. The Lynels in the original game was a headache too. Those swords they would constantly throw coupled with the frame rate slowing down *a lot* when you’d have a bunch of enemies on the screen lead to many game over screens. Thanks for the great video!
The worst types of guardians in Breath of the wild are the flying ones so far.
You can't litteraly hit them with a melee and they always move their eyes a little, making it extremely difficult to aim it.
And it feels like their lasers are way faster too
i enjoyed this list a lot, and got reminded how hard some of these monsters used to be, now i'm actually a little sad that some of them got nerfed so badly with time.
But a lovely list none the less :D

Lynels are easy

Some of these are much easier in some games than in others, but still some good choices. Wouldn't say they're all "difficult" though so much as annoying, in most games.
Guardians are really easy once you learn how to properly fight them, be it mastering shield parries, learning to aim for the eyes to stun them and cutting of their legs when they have them, or learning to flip them over when possible to hit their weak points. Not really cheesing them, that would be using ancient arrows to take them out or hiding behind rocks and trees. Lynels, however, are much tougher to learn to kill without cheesing. Attack patterns vary far more than with Guardians, they don't stun as long, their stun points are much harder to hit.
Stalfos vary a lot. Yeah, they're harder in the 3D games where they're more like skeleton Dark Nuts than their 2D counterparts, but there's often easy ways to kill them, like throwing a bomb at their body before they get up in TP. I don't think its always possible to kill them that easily, but still.
Wizzrobes are where its more annoying than difficult. They're easy to kill, you just need to wait for a proper chance to actually hit them and usually means waiting and dodging or using a bow or boomerang. Same goes for Wall Masters and Floor Masters. Not tough to kill, you just need to lure them out so you can even hit them, then one or two hits is usually enough, or trick them into smashing into a bomb.
Dark Nuts and Iron Knuckles vary the most by game, sometimes being just annoying and tedious as you wait for an easy to dodge or block attack so you can hit them or using a boomerang or arrows to stun them or hit them from a distance, and in some games requiring more skillful use of mechanics or cheese to even hit them.
Phantoms are iffy though. Don't know about Spirit Tracks as much as Phantom Hourglass, but they're impossible to kill for a good portion of that game, needing to be avoided and requiring planning to escape them. But then when you can kill them they're rather easy to kill, as you're used to having to avoid them anyway making it easy to get behind them, and I believe a single hit kills them. Again, not as sure about Spirit Tracks, but I'd believe a similar situation there.
And sadly, the lynels in BOTW are the only ones that put up a good fight. I can't imagine how much more stronger and more aggressive they'll be in its sequel.
Can you imagine a Darknut from TP riding a Lynel from BOTW? Now that would be a fight..
It'd be nice to see darknuts & iron knuckles return. But the latter I want to see return as allies, as now Gerudo are teamed up with Hylians. For stalfos I was surprised you didnt show the BotW iteration, which may best exemplify how you need to kill them all quickly or else they will regenerate. Also with floormasters, what's fascinating about the Wind Waker version is how light can defeat them. Your shield could even be positioned so that they cant grab you
Lynels. Those are the most toughest enemies in BOTW.
Lynel are so tough for me
Just keep practicing on fighting them ..I used to feel the same way, but I now hunt them down and enjoy a good fight..Use a strong one handed sword and have a back up sword incase it breaks ..cook some good meals for health with extra hearts, and at least one for attack up..a strong bow.( I like using bomb or shock arrows if it is raining ) Learning Daruk's perfect parry can´t hurt ..If I can do that anyone can..They have vids here on YT that explain it well. Learn their patterns of attack which is not hard. I hope that helps you. I have over 3500 on Breath of the Wild..

I think the guardians and the lynels are the hardest enemies to defeat in breath of the wild.
I have panic attacks whenever a Guardian spots me and had such anxiety with the Lynels that I had two nightmares involving them.
I agree with lynels, but guardians are pretty easy for me. You just parry a couple of lazers and you're good. I really hate watching people waste Ancient arrows on them. Just parry it, goddamnit.
I see them as walking loot boxes that fight back :I'm talking about the guardian variants:
Walll master is the worst. Should be number 1. That thing terrified me in forest temple as a kid.
How’s this for the sequel of Breath of the Wild:
1. They see a Darknut, and Zelda uses her powers to turn the Darknut into a Lightnut, and be an companion for Link and Zelda on there adventures.
2. Zelda rest near a dead Lynel that gave birth to a baby Lynel and sees Zelda and thinks she is it’s mother. Zelda doesn’t realize it and sees it and walks away from it, but the baby Lynel is following her. Soon, Zelda is attacked by Yiga Clan foot soldiers, but the baby Lynel defends her by using Fire, Ice, and Lightning magic, to kill the foot soldiers. Zelda is confused with what just happened, but realizes that the baby Lynel thinks she is it’s mother and decides to adopt it and names it …. I can’t think of the name for a Lynel. Sorry.
Those are my ideas for the sequel. What do you all think and got any names that fit an Lynel?

It’s definitely lynels pretty sure some of them have more health than the blights which is nuts since they are the bosses of the game second is guardians especially sky watchers few thing are more terrifying than a robot spider and a flying robot spider just no but they become a joke once you get the master sword
guardians are pretty easy, except for the skywatchers which cant be parried. I'm good at parrying so I can deal with normal ones, although I struggle on turret ones because they continuously fire, and I cant react fast enough
The Sea hats from Wind Waker; their constant numbers while rushing you is a great pain

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t phantoms also appear in skyward sword in the parts when you needed to collect the tears?
They're listed as "Guardians", not Phantoms, so nah, doesn't count. Design is too different to really say one is meant to be the other; especially with that flying Guardian type.

Imo lynels are litteraly a joke when you have the right equipment. I beat every gold lynel there is on the map without much trouble. Stunning them with bows enough will make them so vulnerable that you can beat them in no time.
Also costs no durability on your weapon when you attack them by mounting them.
As someone who plays randomizer, ocarina of time stalfos are quite annoying when you don’t have a lot of hearts

Once you know their mouvements, they are easy to trick and avoid, but yes, they were a huge pain when I played Phantom Hourglass as a kid.
I feel that guardian part
In botw master mode, thunderblight Gannon gave me brain damage. Literally the hardest boss I’ve ever fought in a game! (Elden ring and dark souls excluded)
I feel like tears of the kingdoms gloom hands was like that game's version of floor masters
when i fought my first lynel was scary,my 5th was that scary then i got used to fighting them.

I'm going to assume that everyone is collectively blocking out the dark/armored trains in Spirit Tracks.

that are FASTER than you (even the slower variant)
On top of that they have anxiety inducing nightmare music and scream at you when they spot you, and the armored trains will chase you.
On top of THAT, since you're on the Spirit Tracks your venues of escape are very limited, so if you make a mistake and a wrong turn you're likely to get cornered, and then it's GAME OVER.
Granted, you can stun them by repeatedly shooting them in the face with cannonballs, but even then they're hard to get by. The ones in the Snow Realm are particularly devious, imo.
Guardians are so easy I literally go to hyrule Castle just to kill Guardians

If we are talking about annoying i'd say moldorms from the older games because you would get them low then they would either split into 2 then 4 or they would push you out the arena and you would have to start over

My method for defeating hynoxes is get up high and just fire at them with explosive arrows

I cant say for sure what I think the hardest enemy is (since I havent played a lot of Zelda games yet) BUt in BOTW these are in my opinion the hardest
- Guardians one is easy but after 3 get you trapped its impossible
- Lizalfoss I dont even understand these idiots
- Lynels actually Lynels arent that hard they just take a long time to beat
- Wizzrobes They just make me tired man so annoying
I would actually call the guardian a mini boss
this is not gonna be good if I know Hinoxes (BoTW style) are easy, same with guardians, Hinoxes, shoot their eye, wack repetitively, shoot wack, repeat until dead, and Guardians, take your horse/mastercycle up to one jump up pull the bow out, make sure ancient arrows are equipped and shoot their eye boom dead guardian
Honestly, after the first 2 or so hours, I find guardians to be some of the weakest enemies in the game.
All the stationary ones require is a single laser parry and even the stalkers are as simple as doing 3 relatively easy parries.
Hinoxes also barely pose any threat at the first few hours, even if they are a bit tougher to take out than guardians.
Silver lynels through are pretty scary. Their attacks are still not that bad to dodge, but they are way more deadly than the blights and also unlike the blights, cant be destroyed in 10 seconds with some attack up food and easily obtainable gear.
Magda should be a dishonorable mention
Has anyone ever used the paraglider in BotW just to fly down and land on top of a guardian stalker just to mess with them? I do that sometimes . It is kind of funny to see.😂
Whenever I do that I slide off them no matter where I land on top of it

I don't think they're trying to claim that itself was a wizzrobe. At that point in the video, they're talking about how wizzrobes take advantage of you being distracted by other enemies, and that point in Wind Waker is when Link is fighting that one miniboss wizzrobe in the Wind Temple that sends out other enemies. Not super clear, but I think that's what they were going for rather than claim that darknut is a wizzrobe

Nobody beats Thunderblight Ganon on the first try… Not since Achievement Hunter gave up playing the game after ONE SWIFT DEATH by that boss.
I played near perfect against it in master mode, which was my second time ever on my first try. I haven't been able to repeat this level of play against it since.
The guardians are I'm my opinion the easiest enemies, you can fire an ancient arrow to just one shot them in the eye or cut off its limbs, it really isn't that hard

Back in the day, Wallmasters & Floormasters were the fucking nightmare to go through in certain dungeons in certain past Zelda games. Thankfully, Twilight Princess & future Zelda games ditch those assholes for good & "A Link Between Worlds" made them slower and easier to deal with including merging to walls. For "Phantom" of DS Zelda games, I'm glad that I've sold them for better Zelda games as they don't compare to past 2D Zelda, Link's Awakening Switch, or even ALBW. And no, I'll never accept Zelda 2 as the one of the best whatsoever(Once again, I oppose those like Peanutbuttergamer due to him not changing his opinion of NES Zelda over ALttP. Again, terrible opinion which I'll never agree.). Not just because it was just plain unfairly difficult by today's standards, but also this alongside the horrible Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest(AKA one of the worst Castlevania games ever by Konami who have been severe assholes in recent times) has been severely outdated by the standards of Infernax created by Berzerk Studios. We all know that Zelda 2 was one of Nintendo's(Shigeru Miyamoto included) biggest regrets they've done.
