I forgot to add - if you have a whole case of beans to use up, try a baked potato with butter topped with baked beans and cheese, with a side salad. That's a pretty common lunch/dinner here. You can also still make an English fry up without black pudding - just do toast, beans, bacon, sausages, egg of your choice, fried tomatoes and fried mushrooms.
Full Scottish is much better than a full English, a Scottish has everything an English has but has a few extra things like fried potato scones (usually triangle shape), square sausage with onion laced through it and fried fruit pudding that you slice and fry like black pudding...fruit pudding is a little bit of sweet among all the savoury.

Australian twist - melted cheddar cheese on top and Promite (or Vegemite) on the toast. Beware, those Heinz beans will make you fart like no other bean
Hahaha! Loved your edit to correct your statement about never having “beans and rice”. My husband eats baked bean sandwiches- but it’s with bbq beans. It doesn’t look to bad just not my cup of tea. Love your vlogs. I’m on the east coast- Maryland, no snow for us today BUT it is bitter cold here.
My mom was a lousy cook, but she made great beans. All kinds of beans. But she never made cornbread, so I would make myself a couple of bean sandwiches for dinner often. I didn't find out till about a year ago that beans are a popular breakfast food in England.
Chuck the beans over it!!! So weird seeing ppl who have never eaten beans on toast lol Personally I’d prepare the beans first - and on a hob. Then make the toast. Loads of butter. That way the butter melts and the beans are softer. Extra luxury would be to make cheese on toast and Chuck the beans over it hahahah 😋enjoy - especially on snowy days xx

Hey Jay having tried baked beans in the US they are completely different to UK baked beans. I usually add some strong English cheddar cheese on top. Can also use same combo in a baked potato for an easy dinner.
I eat Heinz beans in tomato sauce and I found they taste the best once they're open and in the fridge for a day. I typically eat them with bacon and eggs, some toast and tea. Mmm, been eating that since I was a kid.
Enjoyed this vlog Jovaughn- I’ve done similiar before- except added some garlic to my toast (same sandwich bread). Also, I love baked beans! However, I like them with that sweet flavor- I enjoy a mix of sweet/savory together- I’ve done similiar ideas when craving A-1 sauce- 😆 LOVE A-1 sauce- some garlic toast to sop up the A-1- no shame either.. 🤷🏻♀️😁. 💜👍✌️
Not just British, us Aussies love baked beans on toast. Beans can be heated up first or not. I've always heated them up and poured on Hot buttered toast. Really yummy and satisfying. However, I no longer eat them because they contain sugar in the sauce and I'm watching my weight. Hope you enjoyed then!
Funny how you expected them to be sweet. When I've been to America, I've noticed that a lot of your food is very sweet. I couldn't get over the bread...so sweet it could almost pass for cake in the UK! :-) Glad you enjoyed the beans, and as someone else said in the comments, try some on a baked potato with grated cheese...a nice easy lunch on a cold day. Beans are a cheap easy basic here in the UK, can add to shepherd's pie, casseroles etc.
Idk but every american i see butters theyre toast so weirdly
Try bangers and mash, J! I'm American but it's one of my faves!
Hi Jay.The USA tend to put to much sugar & salt in your foods. It may taste sweeter but it's very bad for long term health in your body. British baked beans are the healthier option for u.All the best.
A British classic!
My mom was a lousy cook, but she made great beans. All kinds of beans. But she never made cornbread, so I would make myself a couple of bean sandwiches for dinner often. I didn't find out till about a year ago that beans are a popular breakfast food in England.
Chuck the beans over it!!!
So weird seeing ppl who have never eaten beans on toast lol
Personally I’d prepare the beans first - and on a hob. Then make the toast. Loads of butter. That way the butter melts and the beans are softer.
Extra luxury would be to make cheese on toast and Chuck the beans over it hahahah
😋enjoy - especially on snowy days xx
your supposed to eat it with a knife and fork lol..a nice cup of tea with that, tops it off.. For a more protein version, pop a couple of fried eggs on top...smashing..
Branston beans are soooo much nicer. Not runny like Heinz are. Also, nice with some grated cheese on toast first, then beans on top
I always cut the toast in quarters first then put the beans on top 👌
Us uk Jamaicans put onions and pepper bit of curry powder flavour it up you know but I will yam it both ways to be honest
We were brought up on beans on toast! 🇬🇧
Its nice with cheese on top too , its healthy aswell ... many hugs from UK
Heinz do sausage and beans too.
Add some cheese
Nothing like beans on toast with an egg on top with HP Sauce and a nice cup of tea . 😀😀
You can get the reduced sugar ones. They're not to bad, especially if you've had a break from eating normal beans.
Sprinkle some cheese 🧀 and you'll like it More ✌️
Hope u don't get too gassy 👀🤎🤎✌🏾✌🏾
Hp sauce fry an egg and put on top
Grate a little proper mature cheddar cheese on that, delish`.
They're not suppose to be sweet homie
Get yourself some HP sauce.....pour that onto the beans...a whole new taste.
Enjoy the snow! :-)
dress those beans up and take them to the prom.
You need some black pepper!
Beans on toast? Yeah man, they're great. A quick, basic meal, as you say, but versatile enough to have with anything you like. Beans on toast with a fried egg on top and fried mushrooms is ACE!
I am loving that snowman, so cute!
I never had beans on toast. It did not look bad, but I am picky about the type of beans I eat lol. But in a pinch or when your really hungry and don't want to wait, it seems like a great option.
I like adding pepper onions and grated cheese. Sometimes some Worcestershire sauce. Yum 😋
knife and fork mate
No no no! Heinz beans are terrible. You should use cross n Blackwell.
Beans on toast is definitely my go to meal when I can't decide what to have. Nice with a bit of bacon.
Bacon and beans. fucking lovely.
U need to add some cheese on that jay 🤣
You could try putting the beans on the toast, sprinkle some chilli powder, and some grated cheese and put it under the grill, I think you call it the broiler. My dad use to fry some bacon, add the beans to the bacon, heat until hot, then he would add an egg to the beans etc in the pan until cooked, then have it on toast. Heinz even sell chilli beans that are nice. We grew up on beans on toast for breakfast or a snack in my family, I'm from Australia.
