    Don't forget that! Harmonic balancer. Steering gear box bracket.

      Yup good point. My balancer was all good and the steering box bracket is as well. It was replaced awhile ago with a steel one.

    I've got an 01 4L recently installed in my 99 WJ. We chose the Mellon torque cam and a set of Banks headers to help with low end performance. Also a set of Bosch 12 port reman fuel injectors. Hoping for a strong running Laredo. 2" puck lift w/31's.
    Great video. Enjoy the attention to detail style...

    Have you ever seen roof panel replacement? I seen them fabricated years ago. I think it’s better to swap mine out. These trucks are gems and my 2000 runs amazing.

    • @OutJeeping
      @OutJeeping  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen them sold before but never replaced one. It would just be a matter of cutting off the old one and welding on a new one.

    Did the Deer have insurance ?

    • @OutJeeping
      @OutJeeping  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It did not, but luckily I don't need to pay for it's medical bills. 😂

    What did you end up doing with the fuel pump? You mentioned the check valve but never heard anything back
    For the powersteering pump if you do replace that people are saying either a used Mopar one or PSC. Everything else appears to be junk
    For the little stuff like the radiator rubber isolations and the mech fan bracket best to go to a JY
    I have 374k miles on my engine about the only thing is random dry starts. I have better luck with Wix/napa gold filters to prevent dry starts but during the winter will that happen more never in the summer. I am unsure if the zddp additive I have been using helps or not

    • @OutJeeping
      @OutJeeping  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry didn't get back to you earlier on the fuel pump. I'm still investigating that. It might be a leaking injector since there was some fuel in the intake when I recently pulled it off. I'm able to use old ps pump I just needed to replace the pully on it. I haven't had any oil pressure issues since I installed a new oil pump over the summer.

    Bummer about the XJ. Cam video please. Also replace the crank pulley. The rubber separates and they go bad all the time.

    Did almost the same rebuild to my daughters 01 xj after she rear ended another XJ - my only advise, original Jeep parts, even from the junkyard are better than new made in the far east…

    Hey Austin I have a 1999 Sport. Do you know how i can clone my Key fob. Mine is original and I only have one. It just has keyless entry and an alarm. Mickey Shorr in detroit wants 350 to give me another set up. Let me know thanks

    Did you get the deer? Nothin like some Backstrap!

    • @OutJeeping
      @OutJeeping  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would have, but it was on a busy road and I was focused on getting the Jeep flat towed home.

      @@OutJeeping I hear that. Glad you’re ok and the jeep will be back in service soon! My XJ got jumped by a pine branch today in this windstorm we had here in the northeast. It was a direct hit to my radio antenna… looks like I’ll be working on that soon.

    Those deer whistlers actually work. I see deer every morning and I can watch their reaction when driving my daily. It works better on doe then buck but definitely does work.

      @@OutJeeping they are a pair of plastic little horns that stick on your bumper. They are really small and not obtrusive.
