Keep up the coverage on our GRIZZ‼️ Won’t be long before the National media jumps on n board! Analytics don’t lie and this team is a stats playground for how much they’re popping the top 5 leaders in efficiency!
Brother this was some fantastic analysis. I am a Hawks fan and I'm not into copy-catting organizations but I would love to see the Hawks adopt Memphis toughness and tenacity. They play hard all the time no matter who is on the floor. My only concern with Memphis is they play so hard they might be injured a lot and can't stay on the court.
While minutes may rise, the 30 minute cap is a Budenholzer thing, and Jenkins was assistant with the Bucks and Hawks. And both Bud and Jenkins coached with the Spurs during the emergence of player management that Pop spearheaded to extend the prime of his stars' careers after the 8-1 upset in 2011.
@ChampionTalk313 yeah, for a while, Giannis was the only guy who played more than 30, and it was like 32. Grizz had one or two guys early on with 30-32mpg, then in the last few years the number of players that exceeded 30 jumped to 3 or 4, but not that many. According to basketballreference, 2013-14 Spurs had nobody averaging over 30. Parker averaged the most. So it's all part of the family tradition lol.
Toumas lisalo is the season the Grizzlies offense looks the way it looks, not Taylor Jenkins. Defense and rotations is Taylor Jenkins, this season anyway
I want to see some more interviews and study of Iisalo, because this offense has some similarities to Westhead's Loyola Marymount teams and Calipari's Dribble Drive with D Rose. Are those similarities intentional through his euro mentors being influenced by either of those? Or is it more like convergent evolution, where the circumstances lead to similar solutions?

that makes sense!! i remember that being a huge topic about giannis in his mvp years, he was playing relatively low minutes
