Arsenal sending saliba on loan only to end up playing kolasinac as CB is the most Arsenal thing ever.
You’re right we should have kept him rotting on the bench in case of the off chance white gets covid or injured
@@megaownerguyz or just play him 🤔
You want to tell me Mari is better than Saliba?
You're top 2 should've been Gabriel and Saliba ans Holding rotating with CHAMBERS being long gone to Reading or something
@@everyone1liesd459 Mari is second choice lcb, Saliba would be rotating with White. That would be a great option if we had enough game time for both, which we simply don’t this season. If we’re in the champions league then yes keep both and play them both but right now Saliba is getting quality game time at Marseille that we wouldn’t be able to offer at Arsenal
@@megaownerguyz you do know that they have an option to buy him outright
So let's say by some miracle arsenal qualify for Europe, will you buy another saliba type player
They could've just kept him and recieved money for chambers and Holding
And you don't have to be left footed to play LCB
Look at Ramos with Varane or Rudiger at chelsea
Mari wasn't needed
@@everyone1liesd459 Marseille do not have an option to buy Saliba outright. It is a simple 1-year loan, no buy clauses.
Imagine this 2015/16 season the board actually backed Wenger with say 70m instead of just signing Cech. Arsenal would have won the league
@Ze TheGame We were top of the league till Feb/ March and collapsed. Allowing Leicester and yids to catch up
@@markn5904 And we beat Leicester twice that season, our first eleven was very good, we just lacked depth.
@Ze TheGame arsenal were on top of the league in January of that year. And they did the double twice against Leicester. That was Arsenal’s league to lose and they did horribly
@Ze TheGame Leicester winning was one of the greatest event but arsenal ran out of stream in February hence why they needed a bigger squad. 70m back then would have got 2-3 world class player to relieve giroud, alexis workload.
@Ze TheGame Emery and Arteta have shown how great Wenger was…
Arteta should play Edu at CB would do a better job at defending for him than holding and chambers
Haha
He'll be defending with brown envelopes
haha
Or maybe saliba, before he went on loan ?
Long term process? They’ve said this for 10 years and we haven’t won the league since 2004, Chelsea sacked their best player ever and bought in tuchel and won the champions league.
That's why I like Abramovic he makes the tough decisions and works out for us
FACTS
After spending 250M on a team that was already better than Arsenal's. You guys are delusional comparing yourselves to Chelsea right now. Changing manager is not gonna solve all your problems. You finished 8th last year because you legit have the 8th best squad in the league, Arteta didnt actually underachieve, thats what you guys are missing. You're mad because you dont have a manager that can overachieve to get into top 4 and its ridiculous to *expect* that with a rookie manager thats been employed to oversee a rebuild. He hasnt actually lost any game that you really should have won (even the Brentford result was predictable in the circumstances), so until he does (e.g: next 3 games) his job shouldnt be in danger...
@@bigbowss9817 spot on lad
@@bigbowss9817 salute bruh
Watching this after a year, it shows the most important signing of Arsenal is Edu.
And the most important match was that 3-1 win over Chelsea in December 2020
He just sounds like he’s convincing himself more than the guy he needs to convince
sad truth haha
Noticed the same thing 🤣
Who's the guy he needs to convince?
@@technov1deo 😅🎯
Talk now bitch,
Edu and Arteta proving themselves. Prime example on why fanbases shouldn’t be reactionary….
Let's be honest, Edu would've never expected that Arteta would bottle the Brentford game
Arsenal need a new, experienced manager
Could say that we need an experienced technical director and owners that care🤔
@@d0vidx Not even an Arsenal fan but feel sorry for you guys.
Spending the most money and worrying about relegation like Schalke
Need new board/owners who actually care about football instead of lining their own pockets and being absolute yes men first, changing the manager no matter who you get in won't change our fortunes on and off the pitch
Brentford have a seasoned attack, Arsenal have a tough but unsettled defence. That loss was part of the journey for him as a 1st time manager at a club shifting from 20th century management into the social media era with all the conflicts that shift in value incurs. Expectations are far too high at that club.
Conte
This guy is speaking like he's building an NBA team which needs to tank to draft players
lmaoooo
Trust the process
You know I never thought about that, why don’t they have a draft
He's saying we signed young players as though we have now got camavinga, Haaland, mbappe, the players we signed are nothing special
Lol be realistic man
exactly! Just saying we've signed 10 players, and they are under 23, or whatever means nothing. It's about QUALITY not QUANTITY. 10 mediocre players will get you mid table finish.
@@arsenalmanic you lot have no vision its about teaching a set on young players to play a style and grow together so our football is fluid.
@UC1zGtfrVTvevNtvLdU5jKMQ because the coach needs players with a certain mindset and not unteachables like guanduzi whom he can mould to be better and this needs time.
ARTETA it gone! ARSENAL have agreed terms in principe for CONTE to be the new boss. Get innnnnnnnnnn !
This guy loves defending Arteta
They say the best form of attack is defence. He has done a lot of attacking in his past, believe me.
Of course if Arteta fails it looks bad on him & the boys that appointed him over a actual proven manager & they don't want that, why do you think "project youth" is a thing? To lower the bar for Arteta.
Almost as bad as DT
Because he should be defending him !?!?!...
They're working together... That's teamwork and they're sticking together to build the foundation Edu is highlighting here.
People will thank these two in two or three seasons for the excellent job they've done...
Nobody respects the vision Arsenal has... But they will
They are both as useless as each other
This guy waffles just like Arteta
did someone say waffles?!
@@zahrajaffer03 Dont go to Edu for waffles bud, he might try to sign you. Dont worry though you will just be on the bench for the season as Arsenal never play their damn signings.
😂 😂
@@zahrajaffer03 I don't agree I think he's proving he's trying I think arteta isn't good enough yet
😂 😂 😂!!l..sounds like they're all clutching at straws...would be good if the interviewer asked him whether he expects to qualify for Europe or even win a football match with those young signings?
The fact that the director of a club has to face the media is enough proof to know this club is a total mess.
They face the media often but publicly like this in a sky sports interview is disgraceful
Just imagine your director of football having to explain himself to sky sports for messing up so badly
This was exactly what fans wanted the club to come out and put faces on who is in charge ! Say nothing--> complain - say something -->complain!!
The bigger point is he doesn't HAVE to. He's chosen to. Technichal directors never show their faces but he has to explain the transfer policy and set the record straight. That's called transparency and is admirable in the modern age
Nothing wrong with being transparent but his signings before was shocking, Arsenal need quality not just young players.
He’ll be remembered more for jet skis and cigars 😂

You don't build a foundation with young players. You build a foundation with experienced player and let the younglings have their learning curve on that foundation. Arsenal is going to ruin so many talented players carrier with their approach.
You do when you’re trying to mould them to Peps style of play. People don’t realise Pep has never had a team this bad. There’s going to be a period of rubbish bc that style his complicated to implement especially with players without the ability or set in their ways. He needs a least 2 more years before people can judge him
100%. Young talent needs experienced heads around them to help them grow and improve and make better decisions.
@@Chris-pz8eu Sorry but that's not true, you need experience players that are used to the pressure of modren day footbal to teach the youth & let them learn without having to carry the weight of the club. Then when the experience players retire/leave the youth become the experience players for the next set of youth players to learn from.
I’ve heard Neville said this before. He mentioned that when Alan Hansen said you can’t win anything with kids, he was actually kinda right. It wasn’t just the youngsters at united at that time, they had the experienced winners like Cantona
So you mean Laca, auba, partey,Xhaka,Mari,Suarez and Leno are not old enough to mentor these young players.
Trevoh Chalobah 22, Reece James 21, Mason Mount 22, Christian Pulisic 22, Callum Hudson-Odoi 20, Kai Havertz 22, Billy Gilmour 20, Conor Gallagher 21, Armando Broja 19, Ethan Ampadu 20 & Tino Anjorin 19.
THAT is how you build a team for both the future and the present at the same time that WINS. Not signing a bunch of kids nobody’s heard of or wants on the cheep. The only thing he should be accepting, is his P45.
@J Alex Ask yourself why Chelsea have UCL football to attract better players and Arsenal don’t and just maybe you’ll find the answer. 🤦♂️

Ben whites real transfer value is somewhere between 25-35 million.
This man said anyone who was unhappy with Willian didn't know football, I loved him as a player but he is killing me as a technical director
Unpopular opinion. I appreciated this interview a lot. More communication like this is needed to build confidence and will become easier to believe when the results start talking too.
Is there more of the interview that I can watch?
Repoter : what's your plan?
Edu : We don't have any
On the money, the squad needed to be strengthened and has been. It also has longevity meaning fewer higher profile players will be added in the next window or two. Looking forward to seeing our strongest team out soon.
This is embarrassing, not having set targets like top 4 or 6 just shows you are preparing for failure. I cant believe he chose not to go into the market for an additional experienced CM as an improvement on Xhaka. That should have been at the top of his priorities regardless if Xhaka was leaving or not. This club is an embarrassment, leaving complete cretins like Edu and Arteta in charge. However should we be surprised? Standards are set from the very top and we can see the low standards of care set from Kroenke have dribbled down to Vinai, Edu, Arteta and to the vast majority of bang average players in this squad.
Totally true, I guess arsenal will be in near the relegation zone in the begining of December
We have to be patient we do have a very young squad but the experience players have to step up massively

Aside from the short White and the injury-prone Partey, I think Edu has done a pretty good job. But he missed the most important aspect, which are replacing some of our CFs with the one who fits Arteta's system
Got nothing on Paratici 💪
hi
We need about 2 more legit tough CB , Odegard I’m not really sold on him but we will see . We have enough wingers . Dennis Zakari would be a perfect fit . Two Young strikers . Dolberg and another younger one
Actually, our pre season was disastrous..... We had to get to the level where we left last season...... which didn’t happen...., as our primary drivers Saka and Odegaard joined late. That left Auba and ESR alone & arsenal goalless. That put more pressure on our defence which wasn’t ready as Luiz left. Also Holding had to be chosen before Mari on the left with Ben White on the right which didn’t happen & was a strategic error as well. We didn’t even have a proper RB and no Partey, which was the cause of few goals as well.
The transfers are decent long term investments, yes it would be nice for a few proven players to come in also and for saliba to stay and xhaka to leave but that’s not the transfers fault. Let them play and support them who knows how good they will become!
Edu doing a fantastic job...trust the process all the way to the league 1
Yeah, i am pretty sure arsenal will be in the relegation zone in the begining of November
Winning takes away negativity. Once Arsenal start winning, watch the negative press go away. No one will care if whatever decision they are making, as long as the win games. Fans and media are fickle.

You can tell from the way they speak that Fabio Paratici's brain is operating on a much higher level than Edu's.
Don't compare this mug to Don Paratici
Nah I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with what he is saying but I completely agree. Same thing happened with liverpool. They bought in a few small name players that are now considered the best players in the world (salah and robbo for example) as it fit their system and they were able to build that foundation to then go on and sign a big player as they did with Virgil. So even though I’m an arsenal fan and hate the club completely right now I understand where he is coming from.
Journalist: "say a lot without saying anything"
Edu:
You know it’s bad when you have to come out and defend yourselves
Long live Edu!
I get the point but the players that are being signed are not young players with premier league champion potential. Does anyone really think that Ben white is a prem champion CB or Martin ordegard is a champion cam? No. You know the reason why? Because if they were that quality then they would cost 100 mil plus. Teams aren't stupid. They know if a player of theirs has 'that' type of talent.
It is astonishing to me that it doesn't look that any attempt has been made to raid the Barcelona team. The club is in serious financial difficulty and we should have been able to force trades to players like umtiti, coutinho etc who do have that winning mentality
Edu knows the job and responsibilities with it. He has done a good job till now by signing young players for the future. His enemy is time as such processes take time to reach its target.
Well, let's keep our fingers crossed.
Edu & Arteta the morecambe and Wise of the premier league right carry on!!
I've seen enough of the board members of epl teams giving interviews but I've never seen Chelsea's board members in any interview

Ok

@@ro7601 solid B
Edu and Mikel's strategy is to build for the future by recruiting young players with future potential. However, they have overlooked the immediate need to consolidate the squad with players that will improve our weak areas i.e. DM and striker. Signing White for £50m in their minds was supposed to be the major signing of the window but the fans do not perceive it that way. In fact Arsenal fans would be more enthusiastic if that money was spent on a solid DM like Bissouma and would then consider this a successful window.
There's a distinct difference between building a better squad that can win trophies now, and a squad that will be better in the future. Edu pointed out this emphasis on looking at the bigger-picture, but in doing so, he's neglected to see that the picture is bleak in the present, and needs to be addressed before any prospects of a trophy-winning season arise within Arsenal. We signed players who have good longevity, but no depth in the side. No amount of potential talent can address the tactical misgivings Arsenal suffers through the opposition on the pitch come match-day, time-and-time-again.
This season signed 6 players. Last season signed how? Literally change the whole squad.
Good to sign under 23 and they will leave free in their prime. 😂
Keep Edu and Arteta. Trust the process.
For sure we will
As an Arsenal fan I'll be honest. You have to take things into perspective. Yes I know it's a difficult period now when we are getting embarrassed on a weekly basis. But we have to think future-ward. It's a long term project and it will take time to gel. Teams like Chelsea and United can afford to make 1 or 2 big signings because they already have a solid foundation of players, we don't.
I have questioned Arteta's coaching ability in recent times because I'm not seeing sign of good coaching. Yes we are missing a host of players atm but it's no excuse to be so underwhelming. No direction, or signs of a solid game plan. He needs to work on that asap.
What is sad about this is this is how good mid table teams talk. Crystal palace, wolves. Arsenal sound as though they want to be the next Leicester, the underdogs breaking into champions league football.
Arsenal were a footballing dynasty and have twice the income of Leicester... WTF happened?
this aged like fine wine and the comments like milk

Man saying they’ve been signing young players to build for the future ?! well you sign Saliba then send him out on loan 2 straight seasons what are you building? JOKE! 😒
His explanation makes sense.
During your time at Arsenal, you were older, Fabregas and Van Parsie were younger.
Viera, Henry were older, Walcott and Alex were younger, the tempo was very different then, your model looks like a sinking ship, better copy a leaf from the past.
He should also teach his players how to defend.
So you're interested in consistency and sign a pack of young players??? Brilliant!
He got that look on his face that says "I'm getting away with this crap. Don't laugh out loud keep it together."
Let’s all judge the team when all of the main a players start playing then we will se if it’s the players or the people behind the transfers
