The Mont Blanc ink you referenced, Mr. P, is British Racing Green. It is a beloved but discontinued MB ink among fountain pen aficionados- which is a group of people even more geeky than frag heads 😃 I am both!!! My fave MB inks are Lavender Purple and Midnight Blues.
Nice review. They're actually 125ml. To me the Extreme Leather smells almost identical to the Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum which is the quintessential expression of leather fragrances with luxurious dark mysterious notes.
Having had the privilege to smell akigalawood pure - given it's a captive - I can assure you it doesn't deserve the comparison to harsh sandalwood materials. It is quite a clean woody note (when compared to patchouli) and very peppery, as well as diffusive but it doesn't feel piercing. I'm sure there are unpleasant combinations with it but it doesn't impart an effect like say, norlimbanol.
Yes, I agree. I’ve smelt it on its own too, and you can feel/detect its connection with patchouli. In this scent, you can smell both ambery woods and synth sandalwoods.
love that shirt mister p! the bottles look pretty good. The only montblanc I had was emblem but I dont miss it at all. I would like to buy exceptionnel, sounds good for fall here in argentina
I've been quite curious about these as Montblanc has a reputation of being one of the kings of the discount bins here in the US. I'm eager to try their attempts at higher end offerings. I'm especially interested in Patchouli Ink and Extreme Leather. They sound like they are pretty solid for the relatively low price.
For Mont Blanc that's a very surprisingly acceptable price. I've never smelt any of their perfumes but hear they're not bad. I find their pens boring as they're predominantly black, but I have a vintage one which is lovely and is dark green. Disappointing that these perfumes do seem to be marketed to men.

I'm also both!
Fascinating. And yes, you’re right - that was the one. I think I was told that it was found to leave residues inside the mechanism of pens.

Thanks very much indeed for watching.

Norlimbanol should be banned by IFRA on humanitarian grounds.
Squeaky clean mountains. 😉😂 Thank you so much for this Dariusz! Really was looking forward to hearing about this lot. Big fan of Patch 24. 😉
You’re more than welcome.

Yes, I’d say ‘solid’ is a good word.

Love the mountain game!
Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise love to watch live but the time difference gets me most of the time.

I didn't know they're mostly black.
Thanks for watching.
To be fair, the pen world tends to think pink = women, so if MB pens are black (for men), it makes sense to them that the fragrances be for men too.
Lamy has colourful pens
Who cares about marketing? The only thing that matters is your personal subjective judgement about the scents.
Have been enjoying Patchouli Ink today
Excellent.
Thanks for watching.
Was your scent of the day Amouage Bracken Man? Because that shirt screams Bracken Man box :)
Ha! No it wasn’t, but I see what you mean.
Patchoulink (as in 'link')
Excellent.
The Black Meisterstuck is divine.
I’m pleased you like it.
Does the vetiver one not smell almost exactly like the indian sandalwood by dunhill? Which was also an attempt of a dunhill private line?
I honestly can’t remember. I’d have to re-smell the Dunhill.
Who's this Persolex and what's going on with latex pants!
Sshhhh…
When are these releasing in the US?
I'm sorry, I don't know.
Thank you!
They will do pretty well in a game of Cluedo 😂😂😂
Well, they would…
@@Persolaise for sure ..👌🏼😂
That sounded remarkably like a bird.
Thanks for watching.
