I feel like two of my favourite worlds have collided! I have been lucky enough to see The Milk Carton kids three times (Ireland and UK) and every time, Joey and Kenneth have cracked me up with their banter! Loved this weeks podcast ❤
I wasn't familiar with this podcast but I like you guys' vibe and this was lovely to watch as a fan of the band, thank you! I liked the discussion and the little case in point about how songs mean something different to everyone who hears them. Kenneth's detail that the uncle he wrote "North Country Ride" for used to read Q-Anon pages actually added something interesting to it for me. There's a way people can fall into conspiracy theories because morbid and paranoid thinking can seem natural if you've had to live a weird, unsafe, or unsupported life (though I'm not assuming anything about Kenneth's wife's late uncle's personal business and I think they were good family members to him). The story makes me think of people I wish I had known how to care for better. Just underscores how everyone responds to a song differently.
Why not have the Elf on the Shelf move when the kids are at school or taken out on an errand? Then he wouldn't have to go in when people are asleep to decorate. Doesn't solve the whole problem with the background check though.
Wonderful! Love you, Milk Carton Kids! Sail on Silver Boys!
