May Allah give everyone involved with this production the best reward for telling the stories of those that gave their lives for our freedom.
I remember watching this live as a kid. Me and my brother enjoyed it so much we wanted to buy another ticket with our pocket money but it was sold out. Please consider having these shows again as so many of the artists are still around and it would honestly be such a great hit!
I remember having the DVD and watching it everyday.. Our culture so underrated but yet most powerful there's nowhere in Cape Town where can't feel the "GEES" of Goema..... Me and my wife expecting our first born and I have all the Dvd's cnt wait to play her this everyday 😁
😭😭😭😭 This is one of the most heartbreakingly Beautiful songs i have ever heard. I first heard it when the Show ' Klop Klop " first started showing at the Baxter......for YEARS i had it playing over and over in my head. Still does.....and my heart just breaks every.....single....time. Why a MUCH bigger deal was not ever made about it, is beyond me. Genius.

Glad you found this useful! The complete musical could be a resource as it explores the results of creolisation at the Cape. It was released on DVD many years ago, but unfortunately is no longer manufactured or available for sale.

I last saw a theatrical show of Shakespear. A few weeks ago. But this is what we are all longing for.
Dear Courtney-Tatum, I appreciate you wish to see shows like this again. We have been through a rough time in the theatre, with the Covid restrictions not allowing us to plan for large shows like Ghoema. To move a musical to another city is an expensive exercise and comes with added costs. I wish it were possible but I can't see this happening soon. Sorry.
