I would concur with this phenomenon. They're either antivax, ask where I'm from (I'm Canadian...), or say something really weird and they say it's a joke! And it's not funny at all.

I work at Whole Foods. As soon as they started their Whole Foods bit and mentioned being a prime member I just started crying. Full on crying. For absolutely no reason. Genuine tears welling in my eyes and streaking down my cheeks after the slightest mention of the super villain operated super store I work in nearly every day.
Between the old man and Patrick I have to, sadly, be on the side of Patrick mostly because I’ve worked customer service and I get it.

Played this game in VR and it felt like my hands were covered in butter. Also sprinting while running doesn't stick to the direction of your head, so you have to re-calibrate each time you want to sprint and turn around.
Love these 4 together. Feels like that classic chemistry ❤️

Patrick, I also hate an old man at Costco. One day, I had a frozen mocha cold brew and a chicken bake as one would at a Costco. I being the big strong man i am, carried my chicken bake, cold brew, and my wonderful 72 pack of waffles all at the same time, which I, of course... dropped.... Here is where the old man comes in! I, of course, was covered in sticky chocolate mocha stuff and a smashed chicken bake from trying to catch it between my shirt and waffles, was trying to clean up with hand sanitizer and some napkins and some old man just kept pushing me aside without saying excuse me to get ketchup on his hotdog..... which he didn't throw the wrapper out! He left it on the counter! So I had to throw it out!

I worked at a discount grocery store and this old man would come in and buy all the saffron packets i had in my aisle. I hated his flex of being able to afford that much saffron so regularly when most people at that store paid in food stamps.
as a fellow former Costco Employee I side with Patrick. Picky members were the bane of our existence. We had a banana lady that demanded the greenest bananas possible. Would ask to look at pallets in the back even if all the bananas we had just came in that morning
