Thank you. Made for an exciting drive home. You have a back for story telling. I'd love to listen to more of these.

@@esperthebard wow! Where have I been? Came for the D&D, stayed for the stories.

So I have been subscribed your channel for roughly 2 years now and never knew about this story until now.
You really do need to get an editor/publisher. Your writing is wonderful, captivating and engaging. While you D&D lore videos, monster reviews, and adventures are top notch your true talent is being wasted. Not that TH-cam can't make a good content creator a lot of money but your stories need to be on book store shelves and in Amazon warehouses ready to ship. I would definitely pay for a hardback book filled with your short stories are an entire series of books based on a single campaign or storyline.

Fantastic story Esper! Dark and foreboding as all Grimdark should be! Very well written and told!

I saw a short story, and got excited.
I saw it was almost 50 min long, and I listened immediately.

I’m a huge fan of your short stories, if you write actual books I would 100% buy them. If you do, I apologize for my ignorance of that... your ability is so on point it wouldn’t surprise me. The way you deliver the story is amazing and inspiring. Thank you, and please keep doing these for the sake of everything lol.

Extremely immersive, I found your channel last night and have listened to 3 of your stories so far and they are incredible, the voices and accents are all very well done.
Also, I know it's most definitely not supposed to be funny but when Shymathis (not sure how to spell it) is just whimpering about never telling another lie in his life, and Parston just blurts out "ANUVVA LOIE!!". I had a good chuckle.
I haven't finished the story yet but in my mind that seemed to create a dynamic between these two characters where they both have been in cells for so long, constantly bickering between each other and trying to make each other's day worse.
Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now. I just realized I'm only 5 minutes in and this is 50 minutes!
    Man these stories are great.

These audio stories are the best I have found. Storyline: 9+, voice acting 10 +. I wish you to advertise yourself in reddit and other forums and get million subs

Well Done! And the voice acting was top self...The way you said "Good"..was perfectly pitiful at the begining and chillingly terrifying at the end.

Hah, so that was a wizard after all, trying to manipulate the jailer into letting him go under false pretenses, sending an animated hand to feed him every once in a while as a sort of half-assed reward for letting him go, brilliant

    • @esperthebard
      @esperthebard  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Poe was my first inspiration to be a writer. Lovecraft came later and added more strange inspiration. I've watched the Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption many times and greatly enjoy them.

@Kip Kipper Not when the narration is so boring. Even if I could my attention span has nothing to do with the length of the story.

skip the dramatics just read the damn story, not everything needs to be dramatized like shit u c on TV, jus read the damn story. I don't even care if u have to have a fake synthesized voice narrate the story, but it would be much better than listening to these annoying dramatisations
