    I've bought this step sequencer and my God it is absolutely mind blowing. It is so good and powerful, yet the UI is clear, well thought and laid out. There's just so much it can do and the fact that you can control Hardware synths with it is incredible too. Well well worth the money for what you get.

    I've been aware for some time that something like this was missing from the setup I have planned for my album... but I had thought the answer lay in hardware. That was bothering me because grooveboxes aren't really my thing - I prefer my DAW - yet I do love my hardware synths too. Looks like this was the bridge I was looking for! With this I can control the entire studio, hard and soft. NICE.

    Stepic is great. Lots of power and a clean concise layout, which is very helpful for unlocking its capabilities. What do you think of Stepic in comparison to HY-SEQ32?

    • @s1gns0fl1fe
      @s1gns0fl1fe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think Stepic is more useful, has a better UI, and has a different purpose. The HY-SEQ is more of a Euclidean sequencer and serves a different function.

    • @pc9611
      @pc9611 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@s1gns0fl1fe Are you referring to the HY-RPE2 sequencer? It has both step and Euclidean sequencers. I get the different HY-series sequencers mixed up; there are several and they're all pretty complex. HY-SEQ32 is based on hardware rack-mount sequencers...it seems to have a ton of potential. I definitely agree that Stepic has the easier UI to figure out, everything is right there. I'm trying to figure out how to integrate these both into a creative ITB generative setup but I wonder if I'm just overcomplicating things.

    a little late to the game here, but: Around 5:00 or so, when you adjust the number of beats the octave change covers... can THAT be automated, too? In other words, maybe start with all active, and decrease the number of beats to 7 after 20 measures?

      answering my own question after experimenting for a while: yes, absolutely. Create a cv instrument channelstrip, insert stepic *before* the cv instrument module, chose your channels in your dc coupled audio device, there you go.
