Yes, there always is something! My mother's toy poodle always was on guard, ever vigilant to protect my mother from all threats, real and imagined ... but mostly imagined! (Or perhaps I simply underestimated how dangerous the world really is ... I can imagine how, when it seems that almost everything in the world is bigger than you are, everything feels as though it's a threat!)

My husky is still afraid of water and dentist and he's bigger than me😆
Mine used to always be trying to boss me, wanting to go outside to chase squirrels.
They are all talkative in their own way, but be prepared for fur on EVERYTHING and tons of energy!
They take lots of work and time.
They are a bit stubborn and energetic. not for a new dog owner, but there's always an internet for guidelines on how to raise them properly so it doesn't matter 😅
I have a chow-chow/husky mix and it's very communicative! More than the other dogs... and not only vocal comunication. For example, whenever he wants to be pet he will pock you with his nose, or if he wants to eat, he'll give you his paw until you pay attention. I had chow-chows in the past and never seen this behavior, only with this mix. (And in my case he has been stubborn ×2)
