Holy cow! I have been watching your guitar channel for a few years now. I just found this channel didn't realize you were a fellow fountain pen enthusiast. Sweet!
A lefty! Very cool. I''ve been into fountain pens for a couple years now. I'm just at the beginning, so not sure if I'll learn anything new, but love to see someone sharing the hobby to others!
15 mins in: Love the Tomoe paper, can attest to it. They used to use a different machine to make it, and it had different variations compared to the new paper (bought a lot of older notebooks when this happened.) I use a Tomoe 52/gsm notebook at work. I am a copy editor!
Really enjoying watching the fountain pen videos. I’ve been in a rut for about 5 years or so just getting the same ink and paper. Now I’m looking at new inks, pens and paper after finding your videos.
Some of these fountain pen friendly papers xan be expensive. Here in the UK you can get Oxford paper, bright white, 80gsm available in notebooks and pads. Most people seem to ignore Oxford, maybe it's not so available outside the UK. The Red & Black notebooks use the same paper and Anazon do them. Worth a look if you can get it
New to fountain pens and fountain friendly paper. Currently trying to find a notebook that can replace my moleskin notebook that I use to write in but so far everything I find is A5 so it’s smaller than the moleskin. Thanks for sharing your video.
Nice video thanks! Lol I just realized you also are "Dylan Talks Tone" :) P.S. I would argue that Rhodia 80 is not "The One", IMO Tomoe River IS "The One" ;)

Thank you for this useful video on paper for fountain pens.

Thanks for this Dylan. I also like Rhodia a lot. I‘ve never tried Clairfontaine Forever paper, but it’s on my list for my next order!

Great to hear!
Appreciate this, learning!! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm sending this on to my son. He is getting started with pens.
Ah, here comes the addiction.

I like Claire's products and the heavier Tomewe River papers.
Makes sense.

I could be down with that.
I think that drawing out is called wicking.
Thank you
