Hey Kakio. I was one of Warcraft Bibles first 15,000 subs, and I did notice he was stealing articles word for word. I started commenting at him and I saw other people commenting on my posts, eventually up to recently I was linking the articles and time stamps of him copying things and I noticed I was getting no replies whatsoever, I then went to find my comment logged out, I could not. He blocked me from the channel as he blocked you too. I contacted Kotaku and several other article makers that their work has been stolen and some told they gave no permission at all. Just when 7.03 dropped I went into his Twitch channel when he was streaming and I asked him why he copies peoples work from YT without crediting them, he perm banned me from the channel. He was VERY aware of his cheap ways of exploiting his viewers for money and is only SORRY he got caught. His YT channel should be removed, he has made money off others peoples work where people bust their ass out in the world to make that money he would make from reading. Thank you for calling him out, I knew my comments weren't getting anywhere I was hoping someone with a backing would actually call him out. Much respect.
Damn, you really tried to resolve this early on - I have seen a lot of experiences similar to yours after making the video, and I just gotta say, mad props for trying to stop him by both letting him and the owners of the stolen content know about it. It sucks it had to come to this before he made a change.
As a unsuccessful content creator myself this does enrage me, I have worked hard on my scripts and gathering footage together and I thought I was doing well for myself, however finding the revelation that someone has been doing similar stuff and purely plagiarizing it with no where much as effort that I and other content creates have done and ended up much more "successful" kinda hits you hard. I know for most this videos shows that his guy did this stuff and give or take got away with it, but for me and other legitimate content creators it feels like punch in the face. When we work hard for our content and someone else can come along and do it with no effort. It has not wavered my hobby, i'll keep going and I hope other content creators do the same. A lot of people are accusing me of doing this just for the views: Listen, I thought nobody would care. I thought this would just be a mediocre video, doing nothing and going nowhere. I know you won't believe that, but what can I fucking do. I talked it out with WarcraftBible, it's fine, he's gonna be fine, we're all gonna be fine. Relax, it's just a video pointing some dumb shit out, some of you make it seem like this is oh-so cruel of me to keep up or even make in the first place. You might not care when people plagiarize from others, and that's fine, but damn man, this wasn't a personal attack on him or anything. I pointed out the bullshit in his content, not in the person. His apology seems genuine, so the video did atleast make him aspire to be more. I called him out publicly because it seemed to me like he just blocked or ignored people who pointed his "mistakes" out in both private and in minor comment sections, including myself. End of story.
The only problem I see with other TH-camrs doing stuff like this *regardless if the accused deserve it* is that people take it way to seriously and get nasty not only towards the person who was targeted but also everyone else that's around *viewers or the accuser themselves*. This pretty much ruins their channel either permanently or for months until they get bored and leave to find another person to harass.

THANK YOU for creating this video! I have been a viewer of WarcraftBible for awhile now and always thought they were nice, quick, fun videos to pass the time. I had no idea about his extreme use of plagiarism, until this video. Once I saw your video I become extremely dissponited, sadden, angry, and downright disgusted. His acts of taking other people's work have crossed the line for me. Plagiarism is something I just don't ignore or am passive about. It is WRONG and even though I am walking away from WarcraftBible with such anger. You Kakio have gain one more suscriber today. Same thing happened to me. I kinda enjoyed his "ironman" run but he had to craft his gear. I actually started a run of my own and it was so fun. But then I saw him cheating on the challenge and never addressed when people called him out on it. It was really bad. I unsubbed and moved to greener pastures. Luckily Taliesin and Evitel were there to pick me up.

I honestly came into this video rather skeptical considering I've greatly enjoyed TheWarcraftBible's videos for the longest time but honestly... you have a lot of solid points. I checked out each of the links, and what your saying holds baring. Dug into it a bit more for negativity comments on his older videos... and there seemed to be next to none dating past the last week. I greatly appreciate you taking your time to make this, it shed a new light onto something i wasn't knowledge to and made me really think twice about his channel in a whole. As a writer, I have to say plagiarism is one of the most hurtful things you can do to another artist. I am not wildly successful, but I do enjoy writing and creating, and if someone takes my content and uses it for their own gain, it really hurts, both financially and emotionally. What little money I make from my art is appreciated so when someone takes what little I get, it's a huge slap in the face.
in university if you write an assignment with any plagiarized content your entire module grade gets capped at 40%, if you do it again u get kicked out of uni and get criminal charges for the majority of cases.

As a small channel, it's discouraging to see work be outright stolen like this. Seriously though I completely agree with you. I used to watch his content quite a bit up until a few months ago. I also read one of the Kotaku articles then watched his video on it and notice it was a bit of a coincidence that he pretty much read out the article I read 1 month prior. He also became a lot more click baty than ever before which by then had completely turned me off his channel.
Kakio, would you please consider making a similar video about Heelsvsbabyface stealing smaller youtubers content, especially his "exploration" series? IMHO this is much more serious than what WCbible didbecause it is hurting regular wow players and enthusiasts, not large media organizations.
I had to recheck the exploration videos he has done before answering but now that I did I can clearly say that if he got the 'trick' from another channel, player or wherever, he actually gives credit to them in the description. for example, Stuff like WMK room he didn't give straight credit to anyone possibly because there's so many videos about it anyway.

The only difference is that Heels added commentary (improvized, takes five minutes). You know how long it takes to figure something like that out?-an exploration play like that with multiple stages would take me about a hundred hours to figure out. No word of Trokair's video, yet Heels finds time to put SIX affiliate links in the description. This is plagiarism pure and simple, for the same reason me commentating over "Star Wars" would be plagiarism. There are many other examples but the comments section isn't really the right place for this stuff.

The name of the website is ownedcore. I was part of that exploration community at the time and there were a number of different escape methods posted that were mostly patched. Trokair's is very specific and he was the first one to develop it, that is the one Heels copied. Even if he had not Heels got the information from someone. If it isn't Trokair it was someone else he needs to credit. Better still, come up with his own content and don't steal the work of smaller youtubers who do it for love rather than money. zn4rf

I think it speaks pretty clearly that he didn't have enough confidence in his own content before this, and the impact of this video forced him to embrace himself fully. I don't know why so many people are upset about this revelations. One of the things that stood out to me in the warcraft bible videos is his ability to mispronounce words that he has written himself. Oh wait, he obviously didn't. I love this video Kakio, myself and the people responsible for doing the work that kid steals all thank you. It's one thing to use other peoples knowledge and work as a discussion topic but when you start making money it becomes personal.
The first video of yours I saw was the "It's just a game :D" and you told it like it was whilst being hilarious in how you went about doing so. Since then I've looked at pretty much all of your videos and they are all very good, still going with It's just a game :D as a personal favourite of yours but still they all were funny, insightful and had a very personal charm to them. So, this is quite a break of tradition. You were not particularly funny as you were clearly drive by political motive and felt as though this was personal, created more out of a need to make it rather than out of a sense of fun, as is the impression I get with your other videos. In fact I would actually go so far as to say that you turned your back on what your channel is for the sake of this video. And for this I applaud you. This video proves that you are a enthusiast of and very much for the community. It tells people that you are more concerned with a good community than personal gain as there was/is great inherent risk to you personally for creating this sort of video, as is evident in many comments where you are being attacked for it. Whatever the outcome, hopefully the situation proves to be resolved and the community as a whole has the capacity to see why this video had to be made, but whatever the outcome please know that you have my deepest respect. However you're still profiting off that stolen content as well by making this video. THATS the problem I have with it. Creating dynamic content is not easy. If you look at my sad lil channel it is just me talkin from my livin room like. That's because dynamic, well written, put together content takes a large amount of work. It is highly likely this guy had....not much more resources or time than me. However, whereas my favorite video is me yelling "you are not prepared!" this guy had dozens upon dozens of videos and was making money. Even as a writer of fan fiction I work very hard to have original characters, dynamics, and stories even while in a previously created universe. And my notes would say something such as "Doctor Who, and all characters previously used by Big Finish and The BBC are trademarks owned by them" And that is what is necessary when using a established, product, ideas, and even characters in your own original work. The only problem I see with other TH-camrs doing stuff like this *regardless if the accused deserve it* is that people take it way to seriously and get nasty not only towards the person who was targeted but also everyone else that's around *viewers or the accuser themselves*. This pretty much ruins their channel either permanently or for months until they get bored and leave to find another person to harass.

I honestly came into this video rather skeptical considering I've greatly enjoyed TheWarcraftBible's videos for the longest time but honestly... you have a lot of solid points. As a writer, I have to say plagiarism is one of the most hurtful things you can do to another artist. I am not wildly successful, but I do enjoy writing and creating, and if someone takes my content and uses it for their own gain, it really hurts, both financially and emotionally.

The only difference is that Heels added commentary (improvized, takes five minutes). You know how long it takes to figure something like that out?-an exploration play like that with multiple stages would take me about a hundred hours to figure out.
No word of Trokair's video, yet Heels finds time to put SIX affiliate links in the description.
This is plagiarism pure and simple, for the same reason me commentating over "Star Wars" would be plagiarism.
There are many other examples but the comments section isn't really the right place for this stuff.

I'd say Az did not copy it from trokair. Why? Because there where ppl even before Trokair to make this exploration. You should check mmowned and you will find way older videos and discription of the same thing done by different ppl months before Trokair.
The name of the website is ownedcore. I was part of that exploration community at the time and there were a number of different escape methods posted that were mostly patched. Trokair's is very specific and he was the first one to develop it, that is the one Heels copied.
Even if he had not Heels got the information from someone. If it isn't Trokair it was someone else he needs to credit. Better still, come up with his own content and don't steal the work of smaller youtubers who do it for love rather than money. zn4rf

One of the things that stood out to me in the warcraft bible videos is his ability to mispronounce words that he has written himself. Oh wait, he obviously didn't. I love this video Kakio, myself and the people responsible for doing the work that kid steals all thank you. It's one thing to use other peoples knowledge and work as a discussion topic but when you start making money it becomes personal.

So, this is quite a break of tradition. You were not particularly funny as you were clearly drive by political motive and felt as though this was personal, created more out of a need to make it rather than out of a sense of fun, as is the impression I get with your other videos. In fact I would actually go so far as to say that you turned your back on what your channel is for the sake of this video.
And for this I applaud you. This video proves that you are a enthusiast of and very much for the community. It tells people that you are more concerned with a good community than personal gain as there was/is great inherent risk to you personally for creating this sort of video, as is evident in many comments where you are being attacked for it. Whatever the outcome, hopefully the situation proves to be resolved and the community as a whole has the capacity to see why this video had to be made, but whatever the outcome please know that you have my deepest respect.

+NonClutch He was straight-up copying Danger Dolan's videos in the beginning, but he got shit for it pretty quickly and deleted 'em.
So like lets be real, you may genuinely hate the way he's doing things. But you're really only making this video to draw people to your channel.
Stealing content is not okay. However you're still profiting off that stolen content as well by making this video. THATS the problem I have with it. File reports. flag his videos do whatever you want, but in the end you're still profiting from the videos he stole by making these sort of call out videos.

Yeah because we all know filing reports and flagging a video does a whole lot when your a small youtuber... this is the only way for people to actualy see this and be aware that he is just stealing other people's video and articles

I'd believe it more if the video wasn't monetized. Let me elaborate, I do agree that plagiarizing is a bad thing, and that what he did was wrong. I'm saying you profiting off the same content by making this video is wrong. You've probably what made like 150-200 dollars off just making this video. There are more ways to approach the situation. But hey you'd be an idiot not to monetize the video, however it would make your stance more valuable to me as a viewer.

I've watched a few of his videos before and felt that something was a bit off, including but not limited to inaccurate and outdated information (one example I can think of is his info about Thistle Tea). It really makes perfect sense now so thank you for exposing this.

So I found you due to Taliesin and Evitel. They were right, this is an excellent piece of, well Journalism. I also found it interesting that the clip you showed when he was ripping kotaku's take on garrisons... He actually sounds like he is Reacting To Something He is Reading, not.....well a youtuber broadcasting his thoughts. I watched one of your videos before like. I thought the format was cute, and I really enjoyed your animations. However, as someone with an Ass. Degree, and someone who would have a bachelors(got kicked out of college for, well being a lesbian) I appreciate intelligent youtubers. This is likely why I haven't seen any warcraftbible videos.
Also, kudos to you for having the chutzpah to call ou someone for plagiarism. I occasionally watch Doronsmovies and he as the other youtubers here work Very Hard. Creating dynamic content is not easy. If you look at my sad lil channel it is just me talkin from my livin room like. That's because dynamic, well written, put together content takes a large amount of work. It is highly likely this guy had....not much more resources or time than me. However, whereas my favorite video is me yelling "you are not prepared!" this guy had dozens upon dozens of videos and was making money. Even as a writer of fan fiction I work very hard to have original characters, dynamics, and stories even while in a previously created universe. And my notes would say something such as "Doctor Who, and all characters previously used by Big Finish and The BBC are trademarks owned by them" And that is what is necessary when using a established, product, ideas, and even characters in your own original work. Swiping work from other people, and even being s bad at it that it SOUNDS like you are reacting to someone else's content is not only sad it's really messed up.Thank you for a wonderful video, and I hope you continue to pursue your education and let us know in future if anyone else is stealing people's work for their own financial gain. I'm so glad you did this video. I never liked Warcraftbible, since I also noticed that he blatantly copied his material from other authors. His videos and subscriber number took a big hit.
Funny how he deleted his apology video, seems like he didn't care about plagiarism and fair use at all. LUL
