- Can one ask for a better night out at the lake? I mean really, besides the damn sprinklers it was an amazing night out at McSwain! I tested a new rig, marshmallow and nightcrawlers and it worked great, I'd say give it a shot if you're going for stocked trout!

*Yea you can’t go wrong with night crawlers. I have tried all types of baits but the best is worms 🐛 put a marshmallow on first then cut the night crawler in half and thread it with the hook and then pump it with hair then spray it with garlic scent.*
They can be annoying but pole bells help eliminate as many gut hooks at night

I use to do that but I couldn't quite get it right and about half the time it wouldn't work lol.
@@HooksetHank Make sure you use size 10 hook so the hook is light enough to float.
@@giannirusso2604 absolutely, I believe that night I was using size 8. But I picked up some size 8 mosquito hooks I think will work well too with this combo.
@@HooksetHank 8 should work also and if you have any garlic scent spray the worms with that also. It’s a deadly combo. If you forget the marshmallows put some powerbait over the worm that hits hard also…
