Of ALL the rapes actually reported to the British police (which is a traumatic experience according to many) each year, LESS THAN 3% are successfully charged in court! Those convicted are often given very short sentences if any! It also takes, on average more than 2 1/2 years for a case to be brought to trial.
The police can’t deal with even the most serious of crimes!

I luckily escaped this by South Kensington station. I was absorbed on my phone with my headphones in waiting for a bus and I saw a bike coming in my peripheral vision, I looked up and there was a guy with a mask on, we looked at each other and I think I was lucky that I was in the back of the bus stop in the corner so he didnt have much room to maneuver without hitting the side wall. I didn’t realise what was happening until he went by me and there was a second bike following behind and 2 men running after them who had their phones taken a matter of seconds earlier. I'd seen these things happen online, but never expected it to happen to me. Please be careful everyone! Don't be on your phone too long if you are by a road or on a large pavement with a cycling lane because they can easily take advantage.

Another tip would be if you can get an e sim for you phone then do that and also for iPhone users (I don’t know on android) turn off control center on the lock screen so then the thief won’t be able to turn off the 4G/5G which may then help when needing to do the tracking/wipe the device etc
Another would be to use a different pin for your banking apps than the unlock screen pin so then they can’t access the banking apps
