I've just made a similar comment. Let's see whether TH-cam removes it. Notice, also, how many men are making a fuss over this, or want to see the girl punished.
I completely agree that the mother was acting vindictively toward both her daughter and the boy. This behavior can be seen as a form of mental abuse. First, she likely snooped around to discover that her daughter had been sexually active, as it’s improbable her daughter would have volunteered this information. The mother clearly knew her daughter wasn’t physically assaulted, as she would have mentioned it if that were the case. Instead, she deliberately reported the incident in Dubai, knowing the strict laws there, because she understood that reporting it in Britain would have no serious consequences. This seems like a calculated move to send a message to her daughter: if you do anything I disapprove of again, I will make you miserable and fill you with guilt over the consequences. The knowledge that the boy is now in jail because of her actions could severely damage the girl’s psyche, leaving her fearful of making choices or asserting her independence in the future. Moreover, this decision torments the boy and his family, possibly reflecting an underlying class or economic disparity between the families.
Age of consent in China is 14. If someone from China came to this country and slept with a 14 year old, I'd like to think the guy would be arrested. You can't go to other countries expecting your own laws to apply. It's a shame for this kid, but rules are rules and they must be respected
Theres alot to unpack here to be honest. 1. It has been confirmed consent was given, he was age 18, she was 17, 18 in 3 months' time. 2. The Dubai law is different from Britains. If this happened in the UK, the mother would have to prove it was Unconsensual. 3. The mother went out here way to contact Dubai police, rather than UK. This seems intentional out of frustration, but we dont know what the mother knew beforehand, if she knew the Dubai Law then she did it out of spite in the hopes he would be arrested. 4. Where is the evidence? why isn't the UK Government helping? 5. Has the Girl changed her story because her family knows? All we know is what we've been told, from that it sounds like the mother found out about her daughter's relationship once back in UK, got upset and contacted the Dubai Embassy. My question is why? was it really consensual or is there more to the story or did she really do it out of spite? Very sad indeed. Either way the parents are at fault because no one was watching their children for this to have happened in the first place. Dubai is a very strict country, so allowing your children to roam unaccompanied wasn't a good idea despite there age.
He was 18 and she was 17, have some balanced and reasonable consideration to the fact that they are both teenagers/young adults. It is unfair to speak of them and hold them to a standard that you would hold 2 grown adults because of their age and maturity to. Indeed they shouldn't have been intimate with each other as if they are grown ups, however promiscuity amongst youths is sadly quite the norm in the British culture.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse. When you go abroad, especially to very unsimilar countries, you need to find out what laws might apply to you and abide by them. The woman who called the Dubai Police was downright evil.
Her mother didn't need to wait until he returned to the UK. It's her perogative. Dubai laws were broken, so he must deal with the consequences. If the girl was there, she'd be in the same position. But her strict family found out after they returned to UK. Too bad for him. Don't vacation in Dubai if their laws bother you. He committed what they consider adultery. Islamic law, sorry.
You can’t go to other countries and break their laws and then ask the government in this country to get you out of trouble that is just not how it works
How is it these people are suggesting what the lad has done is okay? He admits he knew her parents were very strict and had to sneak about this activity. Great result for parents 🙏
Very calculated move by the mother. If it was non consensual I agree but the daughter was a willing participant. Best thing….stay away from these countries
Parents teach your children to be responsible and respect others and their laws. Also respect the laws of whatever land you find yourself in. Lastly, the girl should be extradited and made to face the law in prison. 'What is good for the goose..... ' Mother of the girl who called the authorities should be made to prove it wasn't consensual. If she can not, she needs to be dealt with also....
He disrespected that nation’s culture, and he broke their law…. He has nothing to complain about…. Should we let people impregnate 11 year olds in Britain, just because it’s culturally acceptable to their community?… Of course not…
Especially when it got reported. They say it's authoritarian but the laws make sense and if the state gets notified, taking action is exactly why many people feel safe in Dubai.
@ But they make no secret of the fact that while some traditions are “overlooked” in “certain areas” there are others which will get you in trouble if you ignore them… They even document it, so that visitors who care to take a cursory glimpse at the available material before travelling, will either refrain from breaking those laws, or at the very least ensure that they don’t get caught…
The Mother was extremely jealous of her daughters relationship and wanted to destroy it so found something to destroy it so they wont be together ( narcissistic mother). Her daughter will forever hate her for that
Just because we're weak when it comes to enforcing our laws on foreigners. Does not mean they have to be. When in a foreign country, you live according to their laws. End of story. Tbh, I am a little bit jealous.
If anything they should have banned him from the country. All of you people saying he should have known better 🤦🏿♂️he’s 18 his life in the adult world is only just starting, let’s be really 99.999% of people we’re not checking country laws they were visiting on a family holiday , most over 25’s don’t check they only here stuff from word of mouth, so to put that responsibility on a 18 year old who was dating someone his year group is crazy.

Notice, also, how many men are making a fuss over this, or want to see the girl punished.
and yet we DO have the two tiers of law
Live by the law of the land simple
obviously those two politicians will not be of great help for the young lad... they couldn't care less
Well he'd BE arrested, but that's all
I wouldn't want lammy arguing for me
Their country their laws you should respect them
We have laws here but depending on who the laws differ greatly even if cases get to court
A minor cannot give consent you'd think everyone understands that simple concept
Would a person know the legal age of they were on holiday.??????
These people who break the law in other countries ,then complain that UK isn't helping them .Only have themselves to blame
Talking about a country that has strict rules, unlike the UK, that is way too soft 🤔.
The mother knew what she was doing! I bet she was so excited once she landed in UK to report him. Sick and demonic behaviour!
Ignorance of the law is no excuse. When you go abroad, especially to very unsimilar countries, you need to find out what laws might apply to you and abide by them. The woman who called the Dubai Police was downright evil.
Why did they say ‘she done it to her own son’ ? It was the girl’s mother who told the Dubai authorities, not the the boy’s parents.
I think he should have been given 20 years hard labour, but I'm biased against 'you know who'
Why so much bias against the you know who’s lol
Her mother didn't need to wait until he returned to the UK. It's her perogative. Dubai laws were broken, so he must deal with the consequences. If the girl was there, she'd be in the same position. But her strict family found out after they returned to UK. Too bad for him. Don't vacation in Dubai if their laws bother you. He committed what they consider adultery. Islamic law, sorry.
Hold on the girl was underage Marcus was 18 therefore the girl should do the sentence as Marcus is the legal age.
The girl was the victim of the crime
Victim sir
When in rome do as the romans. When in britain do as the british. When in the united emirates obey their law.
Yea 😂😢 oh my 18 I know I was so adult at 18
Wow what a great mum
I agree with dubai. That's why not one breaks the law there.
It's strange because the case with Andrew it was the age of consent where Virginia was from that mattered and it's 18 in Florida.
Andrew also should be charge For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge at Giselle Maxwell's mews property Belgravia UK
That false
You can’t go to other countries and break their laws and then ask the government in this country to get you out of trouble that is just not how it works
The girl's mother is wicked and evil. She may have destroyed not only the boy's life but also her daughter's...
You break the law this country you're a criminal you break the law in another country you're a criminal😂
Gosh can she shut up so he can finish? Richard never finished the statement regarding the strike because she kept interrupting him🙄
shouldnt there be a court case?
One small thing, don't call him a lad or a boy when he has reached his 18th birthday.
Anything else you'd like to comment on?
Is the daughter in jail also
She's not in Dubai.
WHY IS THE GIRL UNNAMED?! We need to find out who this woman is!
Maybe it's a complete psyop
17 and 18 yrs ? These are agemates surely ?
No crime committed I think
If she can not, she needs to be dealt with also....
yall are beliving the cnn freeing of the prisoner lolol
He disrespected that nation’s culture, and he broke their law…. He has nothing to complain about….
Should we let people impregnate 11 year olds in Britain, just because it’s culturally acceptable to their community?… Of course not…
Especially when it got reported. They say it's authoritarian but the laws make sense and if the state gets notified, taking action is exactly why many people feel safe in Dubai.
That nations culture only when it suits them.
Dubais a city not a nation ffs . Some hypocritical place does the quaran say gambling is legal so why they creating a casino I can go on
@ But they make no secret of the fact that while some traditions are “overlooked” in “certain areas” there are others which will get you in trouble if you ignore them… They even document it, so that visitors who care to take a cursory glimpse at the available material before travelling, will either refrain from breaking those laws, or at the very least ensure that they don’t get caught…
It was not consensual. She was underaged so could not give consent.
Her daughter also committed a crime. She should be prosecuted, too. The mother will get her comeuppance for her deliberate actions
Unfortunately in the eyes of the law she was the victim 🤷🏽♂️so no law broken from her side
On today’s show we have …. Guess who??? 😱
You have to uphold the law of the land.
what is the race of the girls family, this is the real question that will bring out the answer as to why he is in prison
From India apparently.
They ain’t got strict rules for the rich though for them high class escorts 👀👀
Anyone seen how rthey treat women 😅😅😅
Yes because it's a black teen and Indian girl one year apart in age, in the UK it's legal unless the parents disagree approval for the relationship
Yes Indian girls usually marry within their own culture like Muslims do I agree with you
One of the best questions i jve heard.. would she have done it if it were her son
My friend was locked up for hitting his wife which was later proved false nothing happend to his wife. Thats uk law.
Chris whitty still has a job?
He should be in prison!
Why are the budgets stretched kwasi?
Why are we discussing this. What's the call to action. We are talking about a young British man. Black in ethnicity and we agreed black lives matter. In support of this when is this young man getting home. And what is the British government supposed to do after this incident.
Rules are rules!
At least educate yourself. Rules are rules but the girl also broke the law. Mother made sure she was home before reporting otherwise her daughter would be in the same predicament. Now the boy is in prison with murderers and rapists. Thats an extreme punishment and didnt need to happen. They were both of similar age.
@@ol.a2440 wrong ones underage the other isn't and is legally an adult, why should the minor be charged? she didn't break the law he did
@jooseppielleese7156.. she was a willing participant & joint enterprise.
Hence she should meet the same as the young man..
@@ol.a244017 is not the same as being an adult
