Anthony Baasch to be fair, paves trains his hands more than nhl players do. Having good hands is not what makes you a good nhl player, so players can’t just focus on training their stick handling abilities.
What I like about Barber's recent video YT posts: He breaks it down and shows kids the technique. He doesn't wallow in his superiority and look down on others. Thumbs up.
Sheiffle did it pretty well too, I thought his handling was tight on those pucks! Horvat was starting to have a groove too at the very end and he was scoopin it back hand like it ain't nobody's business!
@@PavelBarber seemed like that part they had much smaller space them all the other attempts. Scheif is ridiculous though. He seemed to do his slightly different though no?
No toxicity and all fair, all players made it entertaining for us. @@moistpaper nah. Watch again around 2:38. He scoots back so that he straddles the right puck with a wide stance. McDavid's feet stay right with the pucks.

This is a great challenge, hopefully all the young players out there take this on, because this will improve there stick handling. Finally a real challenge that will pay off huge dividends for young players.
That was so amazing. Thank you for sharing. The fact that McDavid could inspire you to accept his challenge is a credit to both of you guys. Keep up your effort
McDavid is the best hockey player in the world. He has elite level hands, passing, and skating and plethora of other skills that don't get mentioned. That being said Pavel Barber and Zac Bell have better hands. Straight up
You can see the skills on some of these guys based on how tight to the pucks they are. Pavs not the tightest but crazy calm and consistent... this is a great tutorial as well... thx
You're awesome man, you can never please everyone though, people are still out here saying you did it wrong, literally nitpicking. Forget 'em. Love your videos you're awesome dude👍👍 Edit: just realized I'm 5 months late 😂😂😬
Thanks man. I think ppl have to realize these drills don't really mean anything when determining how good someone is at hockey. And I'm certain McDavid would crush me if he was able to isolate and spend more time on a drill like this. I don't think you can challenge an NHL player at something without scrutiny lol.
@@PavelBarber frl, people take this stuff wayyyyy too seriously. Honestly most of the time it's just because people know they couldn't do it so they try to make the next guy look bad.

Always funny seeing a comment I made on tik tok find its way to youtube. Good on barber for addressing the complaint. Guys got great hands. Wishing him the best
I don’t understand why I can only find one year of under 18 stats on Pavel. Those stats are impressive too. Was it a series of injuries or something that prevented him from playing?
Say what you want but Pavel Barber is freaking butter with the hands, that boy too smooth. I don’t know how he didn’t play in the show. He definitely could’ve. Good job Barber. Keep killing it
Your hands are some of the best around in this day and age. Shame you didn't have the other stuff you need to be in the show, it would've been fun to see you dangle through and score. It is a lot harder to dangle when you've got a 6'6" 240lbs defenseman's shoulder running through ya.
Pavs what level of hockey did you play as a kid I searched Brandon barber on elite prospects and found nothing I just figured you played aaa anyway just curious your a amazing player
No Clout Jack Brandon is his real name he uses pavel because his friends call him pavel because he dekes like him look at his floor ball highlight it shows a scene with his name on tv as Brandon and he has said it before
Fun video dude. If we're being picky, I would've liked to have seen you do it on a smaller sheet of fake ice though, similar to the one McWizard was using. Seems like you had a much smoother and wider angle of attack due to the increased size. You do have great hands though, no doubt.
The pucks were taped to the ice just like McDavids were. This way if you hit a puck it wouldn't slide too far so you'd have to start again. I used Gorilla tape... Held up ok. The NHL guys had the pucks nailed to the board.
@@PavelBarber I see, didn't know that was the setup. Makes sense though, the challenge is not about taking the perfect path around the stationary pucks is it..

haha I'd love to see him actually try his hands aren't that bad he was definitely just messing around.
