I was 18 when this song came out, my best friend had just moved away to university and I remember sitting on the train on the way up to see her listening to it. For some reason it really resonated with me, I was hyper aware of what being a teenager meant and how fragile a time it is and how important a time it is. I remember grieving for my teenage years, even though I was still a teenager. I knew I didn't have long left, everyone was moving away to university, saying goodbye to all of the great times we had had. There's something fundamentally heartbreaking about being a teenager. It's one of those things that adults tell you, "these are the best times of your life" and you never believe them but in retrospect they really are. God, I'm only 22 and acting as if life is over...

All of these people are introduced to a truly amazing artist, myself included, who they otherwise never would have come across. I'm not sure how big of an artist he is, but where I come from I'd previously never heard of him, or any of his music at all. But listening to this song his style is unique and beautiful and I truly love it, just as all those who comment that they came here due to Dodie did, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be introduced to such an amazing artist. I've been listening Tom for more than 5 years, and no matter what, his musics always fits perfectly in every moment of my life, even in the deepest ones. The thing is that this one could be related to anything is happening to you.
