Went to a concert of his this year and I’m convinced this man is an angel. He looks and sings like one. You can hear and see how passionate he is about every song and he’s so good with his audience. He actually came down from stage, made the whole audience sit down around him and he sang one of his songs with a fan. Definitely one of the most memorable days of my life.

I think Tom Odell is massively underrated. His voice is possibly the purest I have heard in ages. People need to leave 1D and Bieber behind. John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Tom Odell and those proper power ballad/pop singers are taking over music now
If you like his voice (Odell's) then I recommend you check out Hozier or Vance Joy. The rest of their music is so good and they have full albums out in which only one song got popular.

I wouldn't really say that, when you learn how to sing, you're taught to pronounce/sing like that so that it's clear with what you're saying. But in one of his live versions and even a little in this he has added an emphasis on the d sound for exaggeration, but not a t sound.

I never said it was a flaw. I'm sorry for undermining your ability to distinguish, I just remember being taught to sing it very prominently like that almost like you're saying a 't'. I understand though that sometimes he sings it like 'd' and sometimes a 't.' Although, i never really would think of his distinguish/spice as sounding like a 't,' I simply would've seen it as another style or... I can't think of the word I mean, for some reason when I read your comment I felt like 't' sound made it feel less beautiful, which is ridiculous. Either way, I think all of his music is meant to sound the way it does on purpose, even the random stuff that some people would frown upon is meant to be there. Like his song 'Mourning Doves' and the slightly horror associated rift in the song. It might seem random to some people, but it's meant to be there to change the atmosphere of the song.

This is the best song on the album for me. It has a heavy groove and a dark vibe. I'm starting to figure out what is so sexy with this music - it raw and real. Plus Tom pronounces d at the end of words like t - it's really hot! I can't pretent;-) LOVE!
I wouldn't really say that, when you learn how to sing, you're taught to pronounce/sing like that so that it's clear with what you're saying. But in one of his live versions and even a little in this he has added an emphasis on the d sound for exaggeration, but not a t sound.
***** I have studied linguistics, including phonetics, so I know a t from a d. And that is what makes Tom's vocals sexier; the small details:-) It's not a flaw, it's a spice to make it hotter!
I never said it was a flaw. I'm sorry for undermining your ability to distinguish, I just remember being taught to sing it very prominently like that almost like you're saying a 't'. I understand though that sometimes he sings it like 'd' and sometimes a 't.' Although, i never really would think of his distinguish/spice as sounding like a 't,' I simply would've seen it as another style or... I can't think of the word I mean, for some reason when I read your comment I felt like 't' sound made it feel less beautiful, which is ridiculous. Either way, I think all of his music is meant to sound the way it does on purpose, even the random stuff that some people would frown upon is meant to be there. Like his song 'Mourning Doves' and the slightly horror associated rift in the song. It might seem random to some people, but it's meant to be there to change the atmosphere of the song.
