This is 2024. After 76 years I consider this as the best of all versions over the years.
Ô yes . 68 years oldwoman.
YES! I agree! Greetings from Argentina!😂
if this dont get ya going ,no one can help . 76 years & still amazing people worldwide
I've heard many versions of this song but there's nothing quite like the original that I grew up with. Thank you.
Well this is deff not the original..
Me too.
I agree
The old record going flat out
What a piece of art. Arthur Smith signes his best piece ever. And for ever.
Many.have.played.this.solo.but.i.have.not.ever.heard.any.as.good.as.author.smiths.his.extremly.fluent.no.breaks.a.clascic.all.these.years.one.of.a.kind.he.will.be.forever.a.hero.of.mine
Superb, I just found this, agree with the comments absolutely the best version!!
The original version. As old as me. Good things came out of 1948.
It was released in late '45, early '46.
Yes, you are correct. I did Google it.
Thanks a lot for doing this! This tune was popularized twenty years later in France, because French singers have made rock adaptations in French because American rock n roll music was not sold at that time but thanks to French adaptations rock became popular in 1960's!
A CLASSICAL GUITAR NUMBER ! EVERY GOOD GUITAR PLAYER SHOULD HAVE THIS NUMBER IN HIS REPERTOIRE AND MUST PLAY THIS GUITAR BOOGIE SONG ! THANKS TO ARTHUR SMITH !
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY, TOTALLY, SOLEMNLY AND WITHOUT VACUITY, WITH NO SHADOW OF A DOUBT COMPLETELY AGREE!
Very loose definition of "classical guitar" there, mate :)
One of the records that made me yearn for a guitar in my childhood years.
I'm glad that there's no people comparing in the comments, just enjoy
You are correct every one I have heard try to play this tune end up doing there own version. Then I was at this birthday party and hey this old guy started to play guitar boogie the sme version. I awesome
That's because the parts of the number that don't repeat are improvised.
Just Classic.
Geweldig ✌️

Some originals are Never bettered
UN GENI
Just imagine Arthur Smith and Chet Atkins together. Mind blowing
I like the bounciness of this originsl version.
FORZA ARTHUR...
I found, by chance, the original version but in 45 rpm +/- 50 years ago. I know that the first recorded disc was in 78 rpm.
it's the First Song I learned on guitar
I wanna. Learn that
The first time Paul McCartney and John Lennon played together on stage Paul had stage fright messing up the lead midway. He said he never played lead ever again on stage.
Pehik nhish Nesht New Petetat Kutuasht Nishuash Nishwaush Pehikushteu Kuetunnu.
