My problem is the chief ought to use part of that money to construct the roads, create a community centers, hospitals and markets. If the price should be increased a little bit more for these developments I think It will help 😊
What makes you think that $1200 meant for surveying and registrations can construct roads? Do you have any idea how much it costs to construct a good motorable road? The roads need to be done, but it should be a collaboration of the government of Ghana and beneficiaries of the land being given
The thing is people already saying that this chief is using the money for his own personal gain, when he actually took money out of his own pocket, to provide certain things for the diaspore community, such as free electricity, who does that he makes no money from any of this, so can you imagine if he increases it to do these things?!?!😩
African countries should have an open residence visa meaning if a black person interested in moving from the west are from the carribean there should be a permanent visa availabe to all, that choose to leave, but honestl its very difficult to attain that permanent resedency, african countries need to get together and have a summit meeting and make it much easier for africans ancestors who wants to leave, not everyone is going to leave, are from the carribean to relocate to the continents. But at least they would have the options to leave.
Dear Paramount Chief of Asebu and Dear President of Ghana: Thank you for helping the descendants of your people who were stolen return home. This is a great thing you are doing. It can be a win win if it is done right. I have read, however, that family lands have been given without compensating the families and that it is causing tension between the diaspora and the families. Please be wise and course correct quickly so not to ruin a good thing the Year of Return movement has caused. Many of us are returning and paying for our land. The families are happy and we are happy to return and help Africa grow with our people rather than watch people from other lands come in and take Africa for themselves. Our ancestors are from there and we are returning. The Chief and The President must make sure it is a smooth transition and to do that EVERYONE must feel that it is a good thing. It breaks my heart to hear that those of us that are leaving a hostile unfair land are returning and bringing with them weapons to a place they want to have peace. This should not be happening and could easily be avoided if EVERYONE wins. Meetings should be held between the Chief, the President and the families on what they will be compensated with BEFORE they agree on putting aside the land for their brothers and sisters to return home. It's not too late to make it right. It's not too late to keep this movement going to help improve Africa and to assist in getting the descendants to return home for a better life. That being said, one can also pan the camera outward and see how this can destroy everything the movement is trying to do if someone does not listen to this small group of people. A small problem can grow big if not treated. Ghana is being watched by the West and by the rest of Africa. What you do now will affect this movement you have started. Do not let the ones who want to see you fail WIN. You must find some way to make both sides happy. Promises of new roads, community centers, hospitals, shopping malls and sports complexes are great for the future for jobs but those people need to feel like they had a say in what is happening and that they were compensated for their family's land fairly. If you do not make everyone feel that it was all fair then you may be single handedly setting up this project to fail and when it fails the West will watch and all of Africa will watch and we as the Diaspora will lose with you. We must all feel like we are winning OR WE WILL ALL FAIL. I write this message for Paramount Chief of Asebu and for the President. ONE AFRICA. 😢❤
