Gonna watch later at some point. Just wanted to drop in and say how funny a headline Spider-Man vs Dracula is. This is like the Smash Bros of board games lmao.
Awesome! I always debated whether I should include that or not for the sake of time. But I figure some people might only be interested in one half or the other when it comes to the analysis and the gameplay. So this way viewers can watch the whole thing or not and still get good content.
This was a great matchup and on paper it totally looks Spidey favored! Having No AOE or easy ways to guarantee taking out sidekicks is his biggest weakness for sure. He could benefit from action gain too, maybe Spidey sense if used to attack gains an action? I think linear non-trick heroes are his best matchups unfortunately. Thanks for great video!!!
Coming from a decent player such as myself to a great player like you, I must say, perhaps sometimes you think about fatigue a bit too much imho haha Just my 2 cents though 😎
@@zeroskatr12 exactly, I've watched most of the matches, but sometimes it's a bit hard to watch due to the slow pace (Wich is understandable since they are important matches). It would be awesome to see a video where you analize/explain your reasoning behind the choices for example
@PxSkills I used to edit and upload them to TH-cam but honestly I don't have the time to do that anymore. But doing a match analysis is something that I've considered before.
Great video!! And also Counter attack, doesnt require adjacency. :D amazing card. If it was up to you, would you change Thwip effect for something like, if you play this card face up, you can play it as a ranged attack?
Actually, in that last game, if you did the other boost and John did what he said, if he attacks with ambush and you defend with counter punch John dies to the counter punch damage
No they won't take damage, that's only when they need to draw and their deck is empty. They would simply move without drawing. Very weird scenario I know.
I like Spidey and has some nice cards, but with how thematically great characters are, Spidey's deck feels generic. Snark and Disarming shot are really disappointing, there's a lot of Spidey material to make unique cards. In any other game, not bad, in Unmatched? with the great concepts they have? Disappointing.
@@zeroskatr12 cool matchup. I notice there’s multiple instances where you can maneuver and setup the sisters where you’d deal 2 damage with “ravening seduction” instead of 1s. That’s a difference of 3 points of damage. I’m curious to know why did you feel disadvantaged to use these! Was it the fear of losing 2 sisters in a single turn from spiderman or something else? Also you don’t use your prey upons, that’s also creates a health differential of 2 to 4 in this matchup. I’m just curious to know what goes in your head that I’m missing since you play professionally ;)
@monte2413 you're right about Ravening! If you're playing for fatigue then you want the pass more than the damage. So 1 damage and a pass (2hp in fatigue) is better than 2 damage and losing a pass (if 2 sisters die in the same turn). Also prey upon creates a small health differential, but again if playing for fatigue then that small amount isn't worth the danger you're putting yourself in by being adjacent to Spiderman. The pass is more important than the damage once again. If you started adjacent, then you could just attack as a pass first action and then move away and save the prey upon to pass when needed.

Funny thing is Dracula is in Marvel too
Hey this was my first SoL win! This is such a weird matchup, looking forward to watching.
Day=Made. Love the mix and matchups of sets! That's why this game is so darn awesome. Good stuff as always John!
Great breakdown as always 👍🏼
Pregame took longer than game 1. That's what she said.
🤣
Underrated comment
Great video! I really dig the character breakdown and key-points prior to the matches in this series.

Yeah I was very surprised! I agree with the linear fighters comment. Which is why he can do quite well against Bigfoot.
Great episode: fantastic analysis, great games.
I also enjoy the different play style of you and Chad ;)
Thanks! Yeah it's funny how I always think about fatigue 😅

Amazing as always! An unexpected matchup, amazing games and Baskerville! I finally figured out what hidden gems are... It's you and Chad!
At 1:15:02 I think you forget to take the damage for the ambush and the counterpunch. Always love your videos from Montréal!
That Dracula, amazing!
I was laughing so hard with chad on first ambush 😂...man wtf now the swinging kick in round 2 😂😂😂 i am crying
That was brutal haha
Hell yeaaaaah I´ve been waiting for this, btw will you reupload the summer of legends on youtube? an edited version would be so great
Are you referring to my SoL pools matches that I've streamed?

@@zeroskatr12 yes, please, at least few matches would be great
I wish it was Matchup of the Week
Best channel on TH-cam!
Thanks! 😁
You got Tales to Amaze already??!!!? Jealous!! 🤣
Yes! It's very fun. Hoping to do a video on it soon :)
Woo the new zero video dropped!!!

The ranged attack would be a cool idea. Because a ranged 4 is pretty strong.
OMG SOO GOOD :D

I think it comes down to a 50-50, but one that Chad can reason through.
I would have to go back and watch it again. I think in the end I had checkmate as long as I played it right. But I would have to go math it out.
Any idea how Spiderman's ability will translate for Unmatched Adventures?
Just have someone else at the table look at the card and tell you the value. But then they can't cooperate with you for that combat.
For the right in the face card if they can’t draw but decide to move do they take 2 damage? 8:26

@@zeroskatr12 gotcha. Thanks for sharin your thoughts
damn spidey seems too fiddly and weak compared to new releases
Yeah he is definitely on the weaker side but not bottom tier. He has some decent matchups.
Im some how just seeing this. Stupid TH-cam. Anyway i hate that spider man is so bad. His art is so good 😢
Yeah I agree. His art is awesome and he's such a cool character, I wish his deck wasn't so basic.
Great breakdown as always 👍🏼
