I know it's pretty long time since the video release, but I have to say thank you for makeing such great videos, our game is still in early access, there are lots of details need us to polish, we will make our game better.
Upon finding out about this title, delving in- I've caused my Wife and I to buy a copy each; the port to Nintendo Switch was *pretty* good! We really, really Love it- like, a lot. Very fun & charming title to sit down and play. I find it is absolutely phenomenal on the Switch in particular. Been playing Portia while on the bus and while in waiting room for Doctor appointments and oh man is it perfect!! Thanks for such a wonderful game!
HM64 is my childhood but I used to say it needed to integrate more crafting and some hack'n'slash combat. I knew that at 10 years old. Stardew is the natural evolution of the game. Take Rune Factory. It's got crafting, farming, and combat but it's so tedious and executed poorly, it doesn't register. Stardew is the perfect amount of grind and planning with relaxing, simple gameplay. Also, I haven't played it yet, there are a bunch of qol updates too. Just a good game with a S+ developer.
Well the creators kinda did it to themselves, Harvest Moon has been sullied. New players associate Harvest Moon with a bad mobile port and probably don't know that Story of Seasons is the franchise they really want that started everything. Meanwhile Stardew Valley is just Stardew Valley. No confusion, easy reference.
The game needs a damn save option,, idk how many times i've farmed all day just to have the damn thing glitch out and shut down.. especially when you alt tab from full screen.. careful
Oh my. This game has a combination of almost everything I love about RPGs, from combat progression to crafting and building relationships, heck, even the art style is candy for my eyes. It's definitely piqued my interest and given me some clearer ideas for my own game. Also, @#$@ OFF will become the next biggest name in the carpentry and manufacturing industry.
Breath of the Wild is a bit of a stretch. This is closer to a Rune Factory game - in nearly every way (like Rune Factory 4's depth with Tides of Destiny's scale).
The character models really put me off this game, I don't wanna marry any of them and i've been spoiled by stardew valley because now I need a shane to be happy
Anyone know if the NPCs have new things to say every day? Because that always bothered me about these types of games; how the NPCs just repeat themselves. I think Rune Factory 4 is the only game where I've seen that done right.

Personally I got a Switch because of Breath of the Wild, and being a portable system. Now the Switch is getting a neat farming, dungeon crawling, hack and slash with crafting, waifu finding, etc game. Long live the SWITCH!!

I love this game.. When i was playing harvest moon.. I was craving for more .. Like a real simulation ,farming,harvesting, mix with RPG and a very good story... Plus this game has a upgrading the house.workshop, buying a lot to expand ,u can even chop trees, and for how many days they grow...u can fish also. Having a cat pet.and it has missions .. This game is awesome... Hope to see more update...
So basically rune factory plus climbing but in western-APP graphics? Well it's nice to have some more attention for the concept but I feel I will still prefer the rune factory series.... Maybe one day it will be picked up again by a new studio.
A bit late on this response, but RF is currently owned by Marvelous who might one day make a sequel. Marvelous hired all of the employees from Neverland after they went bankrupt.
Just bought it. I played the demo couple days ago and I thought that was amazing. Now that it came out today holy shit there's so much to do and they added so much more. Lovvvve it already
Wow, It seems like the steam version of this game is really nice. I have the game on my Switch and, even if I still like it, the Switch version is honestly buried in bugs and glitches. I constantly find new faults, one example being when I tried to reach a treasure chest. For some reason I got stuck on a roof and no matter what I did I couldn't get free. I was forced to wait to 3 am so I could faint to get away. My screen going black instead of showing information, my characters head getting stuck in odd angles or the camera making the game crash just a few of the other problems I've had.
I was in stitches when you lumped in "cheating on your wife" as one of the many things you can busy yourself with in this game. Visually it does look great.
Is the switch e shop as hard to use as the 3ds e shop? I heard you need a specific type of security on your Internet, and I'm hoping it's not like that on the switch. Thanks!
Just got early access, love the game mechanics and style. But the camera is berserk and my gaming computer can barely squeeze out 20 FPS with resolutions and quality turned down ☹️

Thanks for covering this game. It was very informative. In the future please enable Vsync, or force it through drivers, prior to recording. The horizontal tearing in this video is very obvious and distracting.
Does anyone know when this game will be officially finished? I bought the game and its fun, but last time I played it it was missing dialog, had small glitches, and stuff like that. I want to play again but I want to play the complete finished game.

Put a lot of time into Stardew Valley and loved it and about 20 hours into Portia and at least so far, I like Portia far better.

I got this game, it said I had the recommended specs, but when I played it was like 30 fps at Fast setting which is second to worst.
