Hi ty for the strat ! 😊 I got a divine altar doing your strat in 11 maps but i only got 7 div total even if the altar was at the start of the map, is it possible due to bad luck or am i missing something ?
i think could be rarity. i swap my gold flask n magic find gear, from 7 divine alastair to 16 divine . i quickly swap flask. but don’t quote me on that since … some say rarity only affects gold drops now…. i’m new so.. 😂 so far had 3 blue divine altar encounter. i swap ventor, gold flask n the "goldwyrm nubuck "boots. on my inventory just for the div altar.

thanks a lot! I would love to make build guides. this channel was started for that. But sadly the reality hit me. The POE culture has shifted towards POB numbers instead of ingame clips. This led to a severe bad retention which kills videos like that. Retention drives small channels to grow. Build guides are extremely hard to make and are sadly extremely punishing as well.
I think I'm the unluckiest mapper ever. Been running your exact atlas on alch and go (with chiseling so it's 20% qual) t16's and no divine altar so far and been running it for few days now. Best luck was when I've had like 3x quant/rarity altar + grand eldtrich thingies but thats about it. But got a lot of scarabs and omens + tons of gold (which is important to me atm apart from regular currency/drops), so not so bad. A lot better than everything else I've tried so far.
im very much agree and imo switch from red to green after week one is the way to go. red mostly drop bubblegum currency which drop to the ground after week one.
Are the atlas passives (Shaping the Mountains, Shaping the Skies, Shaping the World) needed for the altar farming strat, or are they just for map sustain? Great video 👏
This strat is perfect! Havent hit divine shrine yet but Ive gotten way better at alters. If you get currency dupe shrine save it in case you hit divine 😎
I've noticed that on the extreme end of farming things have been toned down quite a bit. I'm max juicing T16 Jungle Valley with an extremely high risk/reward blight magic find strat and the drops are consistently very good. However, I've noticed that getting lucky barely affects drops past a certain point. I've gotten the 100 quant + 200 rarity altar found in the Wildwood before, with 5k juice, and bismuth ore (adds quant/rarity to monsters), but the drops never go past dropping a few T1 currency. So the difference between 100 quant and 300 quant is MUCH higher than the difference between 300 quant and 600 quant. Don't get me wrong, I've dropped multiple T0 uniques and over 100 raw divines, and an apothecary, but you don't ever get the 200 unique belts all dropping at once loot explosion anymore like you used to in Necropolis. This is pretty obviously a league aimed towards a more casual audience. You can consistently make 10/20 divines an hour, but if you don't also run the mappers and the shipments, you're losing out on a lot. In previous leagues you could max juice your maps while pretty much ignoring league mechanics, but this time things are different. For me personally, I just save up enough for a single large 50m shipment so I don't have to micro manage things all the time.
Lucky drops for casuals theory might be true. Its drops soo much for me this league that whenever I hear a tink and see just a divine I feel scammed. Tho I wouldnt call myself a casual... or am I still? 😔
600 is not a very big sample size tbh, some big streamers I watched last league, played the whole league with blue alters and didn't get it once. They were playing way way more than 600 maps
It's all luck honestly. Sample size plays a part I guess, but it's always down to luck. I've gotten a divine altar this league on like day 4 when I only had 2 voidstones. It was probably my 20th t16 map

Historically getting a Divine or Exalted Tier modifier is (or was?) 1 in 400 maps. That is from the datamined weightings for the altar effects. That means (depending on your map) you'd see only 1, Boss Drops divine, Minions drop divine, Boss drops Exalt, Minions drop exalts in 400 maps with Eater Influence. Despite that, I too have started to wonder if there is many a change in the numbers because over my ~600 maps total (Since league start, so some were Maven, a ton were Exarch, first 70 or so were no influence) I have seen 1x Minions drop Divines, 1x Boss drops Divines, 1x Minions drop Exalted. Naturally I'm of the belief that it's just RNG and I got lucky, but at some point you have to consider with everyone reporting similar rare things happening, maybe it was changed.
Probability and rng is just a very hard to grasp concept for humans, I mean, just look at how many people play the lottery, even tho they will never ever, not in a million years, win the jackpot
I sometimes turn on OBS Studio and Twitch to boost my chances of lucky drops. It's all conspiracy, but I got divine altar 15 minutes into the stream. And never after. With or without streaming on :P.
One thing you struggle to understand is that the number of posts with "lucky drops" on reddit doesn't mean shit. They're there every single league, more or less. And the other thing being the fact that this number represents nothing. You can pile up even 50 posts with lucky drops, but what is 50 when there's 100k+ players playing, on steam only, not counting standalone and consoles.
maybe you are right. but compared to other leagues. im noticing way more people getting lucky on reddit. its a relative thing not comparing it with the player numbers because most of them dont share their stuff in public
Yea I get what you saying, personally I haven't seen a big increase in these posts. Especially if you take out all the kingsmarch posts with all the mirror shards and what not, which is kind of a new thing and I wouldn't count it towards the "lucky posts thing", there's really not many left
I understand how RNG works, so I dont' believe in Streamer RNG. HOWEVER, GGG's response is .. weird. What do they need to "look into" on your account for there to "be anything on your account affecting this" ? This implies that GGG can infact, change the RNG on accounts.
IT desktop support : If you hear an IT say We'll look into it, its just we trying to tell the user ..... yeah .. ok .... we know .... ah huh .... its the same as when a doc tells you .. ooo there is a virus , thats y you fell ill ... It's better than not telling anything to user 😀
I am not even remotely affiliated to GGG (I even got muted for 3 weeks for telling someone to F himself) and I got 2 mirror shards, 7 div, 1 power rune in a single boat.
Fishing for divine altars is probably not what people who can barely play should do. It's only gonna pay out if you get lucky or play long enough. Red altars are much more consistent.

yes there is something wrong.. you should get atleast 15. check the atlas. hopefully you clicked every last altar at the end of that map.

You do realize this game has a stand-alone client which most people use and the games playerbase has grown significantly
