I got e91 myself as my first car. Also same engine, really good car.
Save yourself some money and get the facelift. If you are doing city ways than for it go for the manual ( automatic is old and sluggish). I have the car for 2 years and a half now. Runs like a beast. Done more than 40000 kms and still no problems.

I have the same problem. My friend send me this video because he has it too. It doesn't cause problems (
60000 km with it) but this sound is annoying. Most of e90 have it and vibrating gear shift.
@@blacken50 switch the position of the seteering wheel a little lower or higher and that sound disapear

Wasiulek przecie takie e91 czy nawet e90 jest w ciul tanie. Rok temu kupiłem e91 320d 2k6 rok z 363k przelotu, dziś mam 380 za moment i nic się nie dzieje wymieniłem tylko świece żarowe i chłodnice bo pękła ze starości (olej i filtry to wiadomo). Zapłaciłem 14k

@@MinecraftWeDwoch dwumasa 3200 przy 300 tyś km. Ogólnie na raz wymieniłem tulejki z tyłu (1000 zł) i taką gumę na wale od strony tyłu (130 zł, z drugiej wymieniona przy wymianie dwumasy). Oprócz tego koło pasowe i rolki. Ogólnie na 60 tyś km u mnie w ciągu ponad 2 lat 6 tyś włożone w eksploatacje nie jest to duża kwota w aucie typu Audi/BMW/Mercedes (tym bardziej, że kupiłem je ponad 2 lata za granicą od 1 właściciela za 3500 euro). Jednak z perspektywy osoba, która ma VW Eos takie auto może mieć coraz mniej sensu. Co innego wkładać kasę, gdy auto kosztuje 25 tyś, co innego gdy się włożyło sporo kasy i wiadomo, że raczej szybko nie ma co się zepsuć i dlatego się je trzyma, a jeszcze co innego gdy a części kosztują tyle samo co 5 lat temu oraz poprzedni właściciele żadko sprzedają w dobrym stanie. Podejrzewam, że Wasiulek uczy się w liceum, a jak pójdzie do stałej roboty to będzie warto za f30 się rozglądać (nowa generacja wyszła i to kwestia 1-2 lat aż poleci w dół do cen e90 poliftowych).

i believe this is m47 engine with the front timing chain set up ( and twice wider chain) and not the infamous 177hp n47 so there should be no chain problems ...
1390 kg? Are you sure?
i don't think either... because I had also e90 2.0D with DPF 163hp, and is says that the car has 1490kg(documents). On autodata they say that the car has 1435kg.

Yes, its very reliable
Yes kind of,but you'll have to do the maintenance on time and never redline it with a cold engine,always drive it between 2000-2500 rpm the first 10 minutes then you can go harder in the throttle.When you've finished let the turbo cool down with the car idling for a minute I'd say.Another thing is look after the swirl flaps on the intake manifold and if possible go delete them because they're quite sensitive and if they break and fall into the intake you can say bye bye to the engine almost.Other than that is a good engine with quite good fuel economy (I'm doing 6,6 liter per 100km).
Hey, how is the handling of this car? Is is better than audi a4 b7/ b8?
I have a e91 lci and had in the past audi a4 b6 1.8t both cars great but ofcourse bmw is better in corners and is a very smooth car you glide over the road almost
Handling is better in E90.( Steering is heavier and more accurate ) Hydraulic steering in E90 is something special.
