Awesome! The range Honda advertises is just an average and can vary depending on driving conditions and how you drive.

Hi. Did you get Honda tech to install the home charger or a personal licensed electrician?

What's your charging time been on level 1 and level 2?

It sounds like you might need a different type of charging cable. I'd check the manual to see what type of cable is recommended for your car.

does it hurt the battery if i only Charge it using the basic level 1 way overnight to get about 24 miles of range, so i can go to work and back? I won't have access to a Level 2 until an electrician can install one. If I just keep it charged to about 30 miles at any one time and I do standard outlet for a week or two, is that harmful to the battery at all?

No, that should not harm the battery at all.

You can charge it to 80 or 90% at least without hurting the battery even 100% occasionally is no problem. You are not harm the battery no matter if it’s 110 240 or DC fast charger.

    Why did I take 93minutes for a full 80% charge on a supercharger 350kw?
I did have 40% before plugging it in already. Screen showed 30kw max while charging….why! Why! Why!

The temperature of the battery can effect charging speeds. If it is cold out side the battery may take longer to charge. To avoid this issue you can go into the charging settings and precondition the battery on your way to the charging station. This will warm the battery up and should help to charge it faster.

@@rensselaerhonda I did that already… no matter what station I go to (a supercharger) maximum is 30kwh. Dealership says I need to run my car up to 1000 miles then bring it back and see if anything changes…😑

This is the main reason why I'm hesitant to go EV🤔

Sounds like a warranty issue to me !waiting 1000 miles is a bunch of baloney. They should fix it immediately.

Can I get a licensed electrician to install the home charger ?

Yes, you would need to hire a licensed electrician yourself to get the Honda home charger installed.
