Expect Ibiza to see MASSIVE changes, the government seemingly wants to transform it from a party island into a tourist holiday destination. I read a LOT of bars and small clubs have gone, and the world’s biggest club is still closed since Covid. They even want to ban partying young Brits from the island! Also Brexit has meant Brits wanting to work there during the summer are suffering as they can’t get visas as easily now. End of an era indeed, Covid and Brexit seems have to stopped it, and they took the chance for a change.

Great video! Lots of good info showing the construction going on around the island, and also additional bits of info like how to get up to the Church in San Antonio. It's fascinating how quickly the construction is getting done, especially that hotel in San Antonio which I remember from one of your previous videos, was just a massive whole in the ground just a few months ago.

Many fond memories of Bora Bora, I never stayed overnight there but always went there before going to the Ushaïa. We are going to Ibiza again at the end of April for the opening parties and are curious to see what it looks like in Playa den Bossa. For Anyone who is into Trance, go to Eden for the Shine Ibiza night. I went there last year and it was fantastic and the music was right up my street. I think the opening party is in Early July. in my opinion it's the people that make Ibiza, and not just the place. When we went last year we got to explore a whole new side of Ibiza and chose the club nights more carefully. Antz at Ushuaia was definitely a highlight and seems to attract some decent artists so will be heading back there again in July.

Everything will be like Hi and Ushuaia, expensive and many VIP areas. I usually go to both Playa den bossa and San Antonio 2 times a year. Now it will just be San Antonio for me.

Lived and holidayed there 1990s took my son to watch the sunrise at 11.. I had been married and divorced,,,,brilliant holiday, a lot of bar friends,..my mum lived there 9 months out of every year from the early 90s…amazing place and people…the White Island that never sleeps…pure freedom for the holiday..xxx..yes I’m going back,,

Been going to Ibiza twice a year for 23 years and it’s sad to see fantastic places like Bora Bora and space going and not replaced by better things! I will be moving to Ibiza for good in the next couple of years and hope the island doesn’t change too much and get too expensive and feel like an island that will loose all its character and charm !!!! Hope you are well and hopefully will see you in June!
My partner and I definitely think we have met you at a roof top bar in a hotel in Cala Tarida, Sept 2021 🧐 it was a great set that night anyway!

I've said before that I worry about high the island in getting too expensive. I'm far too old for clubbing and the scene and now I visit for other reasons but it's shame that today's young crowd wont get to experience Ibiza like I did back in the 90's & 00's. (PS, I was probably too old then but everyone was too 'in love' to care 😂)

@@DwayneMuffin Look after yourself. I can tell you from personal experience that nothing is more important than your health. Not fun, money or interests. When your health fails, it takes everything with it so you be good to you.
Sadly, the government is stipulating any new hotels built are minimum 4 star, they are going upmarket. But it could offer a hole in the market for a mega club and bar destination to be built somewhere?
@@marksapollo Yes, I think the government is being short sighted in wanting to set a minimum standard of 4 stars. It would be better to alter the requirements for lower ratings, inspect regularly and penalise offenders.
As for a mega club & bar, I am too old for that now. (or so I'm told 😁) I am old enough to remember when they first arrived on the island (Amnesia, Pacha & Ku back in the late 70's). They were like nothing we had ever experienced and they just kept getting better but they were always affordable.
I think the E scene damaged Ibiza clubbing. Not the drug itself but how it virtually destroyed alcohol sales, meaning the clubs had to start raising ticket prices. Now, although alcohol is back, the prices are ridiculous.
@@Outspoken.Humanist Yeah I guess they have had enough of Policing it all too, drugs or drink, and the locals I guess had enough too?. Must be a nightmare when it’s in its season. But it must also give a lot to the economy too every year. Sadly they seem set to change now :(
Really hope they're gonna do stuff in playa as I was there last year and it looked tired and a bit uninspiring.... gutted Bora Bora is gone it's truly iconic.

@@DwayneMuffin That’s good mate. One of my brothers came to stay with me on the Coast and ended up with the same thing. He’s off them now but it took a year. Hope it’s not that long for you. Changed laundry detergent, soaps all that stuff but the tablets worked in the end.

I've been on Ibiza 3 times for 6 weeks in total. That was 15 years ago. It's sad to hear that all iconic clubs are now gone including Space and Privilege. Is Pacha still on sale? Damn, I can't believe that the Bora Bora is gone too. It was such a great beach club with great people. Good memories!! Back than I promised to myself that I will revisit all clubs in my 40s. But looks like I'm too late 😔😟

Space changed to Hi, and Privilege is the only one that is closed due to legal reasons so none have really gone, Hi is a super club packed 7 night a week, Pacha is still here and again packed 7 nights a week in summer

Did they change the speed limit on the road from Ibiza town to San Antonio last year? It seemed to go up and down a few times on the short journey over the hill. I got a speeding ticket from my hire car posted to the UK from Ibiza.
Certain parts, there's speed cameras just after Amnesia both sides
I also experience rashes all around my face, neck and shoulders. No medication worked beside acupuncture

(for people on a budget,) last year I went there in October just before the midnight and only me and one Italian couple and the stuff. very sad 😞 They will turn it into some exclusive VIP reataurant for spoiled prats. soon there won't be a place for common folk anymore ...

A good few people live there, parking in San AN is now paid so there's plenty of places 😂😂😂

Yes definitely since 2016 it's slowly gone downhill. Was in Ibiza last June. And it just didn't feel the same. And I've been going since 1998 long gone have the good days of Ibiza now.
I think everywhere doesn't feel the same, especially after Covid. For sure it's more high end

No English people aren't allowed to generally work in Spain due to Brexit, you'd need to get the correct paper work and residency, you're not allowed in the country for any more than 90 days

I have been an eczema sufferer. I know how it affects you mentally. I recently had treatment with an acupuncturist and the treatment has cleared all my skin and got rid of all the excess heat from the inside of my anatomy. It has cleared a decade of various flare-ups. I have finally found comfort. I highly recommend you stop taking any medication orally. And find your self an acupuncturist. You will thank me!

Thanks appreciate it, I'm on antihistamines at the moment with soothing cream from Pharmacy, I'm beginning to think it could be gut related as my diets not the best, back at the gym today so going to try some probiotics and Greek yogurt in the mornings
I didn't realise how big an impact gut health had and it would make sense as I'm an inconsistent eater as well as not getting much fitness
