We just came back from North Shore! Love your pics and video. We were just at Black Beach, stayed at Black Beach hotel-fantastic! Saw lighthouse, too! Also, Iona Beach-singing sands--loved it. Loved Gooseberry!
I recently did a big tour of these areas but I camped on the superior hiking trail for it amazing area you should have done bean and bear lake trail also there in silver bay I did those on my Grateful Trekker channel I'm in GA now but from there
Should have included a stop at Gooseberry State Park. The Gooseberry River has 3 sets of falls quite close together and not far from the parking lot. Check out the gift shop and some exhibits also. Great restrooms...all in the same building. It is on the main highway, Rt. 61, between the town of Two Harbors and Split Rock Lighthouse. Two Harbors also has a light house, and a harbor loading area for ships that come from other of the Great Lakes or across the Atlantic to load iron ore that is mined inland.
If you see this in time and you’re still in Lake Havasu, they have a lot of replicas of light houses around the lake. And when you cross the bridge and go to the island they are all replicas of lighthouses on the great lakes! And you can go to a replica of split rock lighthouse that is close to site six boat launch area! And maybe you’ll come back to Duluth next year and I will show you around our historic canal and aerial lift bridge where quite a few tragedies happened :)
I am looking for somewhere to stopover in Duluth... I didn't realize the Walmarts there allowed overnights. What part of town were you in? We were thinking about the fairgrounds - Wisconsin somewhere. But Walmart's price is better, if that's an option!
I’m so glad you guys stayed a little longer and drove along the north shore!!
Thanks so much for suggesting that we go up there. It was absolutely beautiful. We really wish we had had more time to explore it.
That place is beautiful!
It really was! I wish we had more time here! It’s beauty took us by surprise!!!
Beautiful country, I especially enjoyed seeing Split Rock Light. Thanks for the tour!
Glad you enjoyed it! Split Rock was probably our favorite part. I just love all the lighthouses up in the Great Lakes area!
Ooooo the fog makes it so picturesque. What a cool place to visit! Definitely on our lists to visit. Hope you enjoyed your stay at Wal-Mart 😂
Walmart is the absolute best. Ha ha!! The fog was really cool! I’ve always loved fog it is so mysterious
