We had our closing night performance of KINKY BOOTS this last Saturday night. I am SO thankful you have these videos here to keep the spirit in me! You can hear me say "YEAH" from here!
Saw this musical on this channel for the first time and have been listening to the soundtrack all through Christmas break (I've got tickets to see the show live in my home country, hopefully it doesn't get cancelled)! I've never been this hooked on a musical before, it's just amazing!! And what a cast, especially the two main roles Matt Henry and Killian Donnelly (extra-especially Killian because I haven't seen much praise towards him although he is just incredible)!
I've watched 4 shows in London while going to appointments/being inpatient in great ormond Street then UCLH when I aged out of GOSH. They were so awesome when they found out I love theater! They had some charity thing and managed to get tickets and even sent a nurse with me when that was necessary. I'm glad to were able to share in the healing magic of shows too!
It's my favorite number in Kinky! I like when Lola make a high note. Every time I heard that part, it makes me felt free from this quarantine. It's too bad that I couldn't watch full version when this channel uploaded it... I should have seen that. Hope to see it again.
I love this song! ♥ Kinky Boots musical is so incredible! I'm so grateful that this channel put so many awesome musicals and shows each week! This is truly the most amazing thing that happened in the midst of the pandemic ♥
Am I crazy or does Killian Donnelly look a bit like an adult Bobby Hill? Also could you imagine Hank's reaction if Bobby played Charlie Price in Kinky Boots?
Just back from seeing this at my local cinema. I don't know if it's because its not actually the show live but televised but it didn't really grab me. Maybe 6/7 out of ten. Disappointed that I was disappointed. I did love the movie.

I mean, the musical is fun and all but this song it so simple...I bet it took 2 seconds to write. 🤣 Edit: I mean lyrically. Before anyone starts getting at me.
True it is very repetitive but it is harder than it looks to write an song because in musicals the songs tell the story like in Hamilton so they need to really think hard about the lyrics so it tells that story and plus they had to work on the melody which will take a while but I do see where you are getting at

I watched this a few years ago in London after a hospital appointment. Loved it. I always wanted someone to make me boots after!!!!
